This was supposed to be out on the 12th for TOTK’s one year anniversary, but it took me wayy longer than expected. Also it’s for my dad so I took my time. Overall I like it a lot.

a pretty good zelda actually? what’s become clear to me from comparing these is how i always try different things when drawing stuff like these are all drastically different in some ways

so like i did like the game first of all. i just didn’t like how it felt overwhelming almost? it felt like there was too much stuff which would be good if i actually wanted to it yk? it felt like a chore to go to the depths and etc. but also it had a very divine beast formula and i was hoping it would just be something more creative. but other than that it was a beautiful game and I loved zelda being a creature and the outfits and things. not better than botw in my opinion but not bad also!!!

(ps. also makes me so happy to have a zelda game come out the day b4 my birthday 🎉)

A written montage of snapshot moments between Link and Zelda post-TotK, as they come to terms with the traumatic events of the Upheaval and slowly rediscover each other and their love. How many times can two people be forced to start their lives over?

(Link) However, when he returned from the dead, even when he couldn’t remember, somehow he always knew he was in love with her. When he looks into her clear green eyes Link sees a depth of wisdom that spans not just one century, but thousands and it takes his breath away. He doesn’t dare ask if, during her long slumber, she’s grown past him for fear her answer will be ‘ yes ’.

(Zelda) When Link returns his focus to finishing up their dinner, Zelda steals glances when she knows he’s not looking. He’s different than she remembers him being before she left. Shy and distant, like he’d been so long ago. When she looks into his bright blue eyes she sees an old soul who has seen too much and still finds the strength to persevere. She also sees his undying adoration, which she knows is for her alone
