Venom and Carnage Crossover Announced in "Symbiosis Necrosis" Story

Marvel Comics has announced a new Carnage / Venom comic book crossover - "Symbiosis Necrosis." The 4-part story hails from writers Torunn Grønbekk and Al Ewing and artists Ken Lashley and Pere Pérez.

"Symbiosis Necrosis" takes place in the pages of Venom #31 (on sale March 6), Carnage #5 (on sale March 13), Venom #32 (on sale April 3), and Carnage #6 (on sale April 10). Venom covers are by Cafu and Carnage covers are by Juan Ferreyra. Carnage / Cletus Kasady is out for Eddie Brock, and plans to hurt Eddie by going after Eddie's son, and fellow Venom, Dylan.

Realm of X by Torunn Grønbekk and Diógenes Neves seems to be pulling inspiration from the Uncanny X-Men and New Mutants annuals of the late 1980s, where the two teams visited Asgard and Mirage became a Valkyrie. Marvel.com’s description says it continues the “fascinating exploration of mutant magic as a ragtag group of mutants become players in a mystical war orchestrated by a familiar adversary. ” The comic will feature Magik, Dani Moonstar, Marrow, Dust, Curse and Typhoid Mary.

At long last, I got around to pirating reading Carnage (2023) #1.

Carnage is back in NYC, baby! And they just gave birth to a Cletus Kasady! And he’s taking this newborn to a diner to feed him!

I swear, while I was reading this scene I asked myself: Was this written by a woman?

The answer is yes, this was indeed written by a woman. And I only guessed that because I had a 50/50 chance of getting it right it reads like something I would write if I could unlock the power of editing.
