i just wanna say that, although it's not entirely unprecedented, i cannot overstate my appreciation for the fact that XC2's Torna ~ The Golden Country has a bad ending. it's so excruciatingly fitting for a story about the ravages of war and the horrors of weapons of mass destruction to feature a non-optional unapologetic and thoroughly bad ending.

we don't get to see that often enough in videogames.

You think anyone ever tried to kill Amalthus after he awakened Malos? After all they had no way of knowing that Aegises dont return to their core after their driver's death

They sort of hand-wave this away by saying that the current Praetor kind of deliberately let the situation escalate, but that only explains why Indol didnt kill him

But the Tornan king and Prince Zettar could have easily had him executed when he brought them Mythra's core.

Anyway i just thought that was interesting

headcanon territory, but since Haze wasn’t around when Lora died, I can only assume she was probably off watching over Mikhail during the attack. So there’s a hypothetical scene of Haze and Mikhail, hunkering down or on the run one moment, and then the next Haze fades away out of nowhere, and a dim core crystal just falls by the kid’s feet.

Jin and Lora are already so cute together! Really, one of their first scenes in Torna was so adorable! And their dynamic is already sweet. Their fates are so depressing.

how old are pyra and mythra in the games?

They are assumed to be teenagers according to a character in the Torna Golden Country DLC, who sees Mythra as some bratty teenager, so that's the most we get from it. However, Pyra & Mythra aren't humans, they're supposed to be a manifestation of a CPU processor, so they don't age physically or biologically (I know that often ahs a weird implication). This is circumvented later in a spoiler thingy. There's also a part in some virtual reality where Mythra offers Rex wine to which she realized he was too young. Rex in XC2 is confirmed to be 15 according to Takahashi, so some for of age gap exists.

in short, we don't know; I'd say late teens? After all, the game plays out like a coming of age anime.
