the closest things stanley and the narrator can get to a peaceful break are the elevator room and the out of bounds ending.

other places come close, i suppose, but the broom closet—and to a lesser and ironic extent, the break room—frustrate the narrator. the zending is of course designed to be peaceful, but the inevitable finale does put a damper on things.

in the out of bounds ending, you can claim to be sick of the gag, and the narrator will make a fuss about making the ending as miserable as possible, but after he makes up that silly little song about stanley, he’s just quiet. but it’s not an unsettling quiet, like in the skip button and escape pod endings. it’s nice. it’s nice and the music is still playing so you know he hasn’t left. and maybe it’s the autism in me, but sitting in a completely blank room while gentle strums fill the air sounds like sensory bliss.

then there’s the secret elevator you can get on if you do the freedom ending enough times in a row. it’s something to me—that they can only have this after working together for a while, no one getting hurt for once. and then you get in the elevator. there’s no berating for getting off-track or wasting time. there’s just the narrator and stanley together while elevator music plays softly and the narrator hums along. it almost feels normal, like they’re strangers stepping into an elevator at the same time. the ride took longer than they expected and it’s kind of awkward but it’s also nice to get a break from things, you know?

there’s no grand point to this i just think the guys deserve some relaxation time where they’re both doing okay for a while.

Amy would have an English-related major (most likely abt teaching English so that it wouldn't be THAT useless...)

Cast and Pip would major somewhere in the Arts category and minor in Music, but Pip would take a gap year after High School to rest her mind a lil' bit, and maybe Cast would also be minoring on Cinematography... he'd still be working with his Papa whenever possible, though!

Manny would focus more on keeping the family blacksmithing business alive, but he'd probably go for a major in Psychology and a minor in... whatever allows him to fiddle with gadgets like the ones he made

Mitch would major in Geology, which is surprising considering her personality, but it makes sense after the whole getting-powers-from-jewelry thing. she wouldn't do the bullshit Dr. Li did or do something in the same vein, she's just much more fascinated by rocks and stuff than before

Sylvie would obviously have a major in Botany, though there's a chance that she'll be minoring in teaching Biology

Richie's major would be in Culinary Arts, which is kind of another obvious choice

the majors for Ezer and Talc (or Callum) are kinda tricky to choose... maybe Talc would also major in Psychology, but the closest i got for Ezer would be somewhere in Gastrology, and i don't feel like that's where they wanna go in life...

In all seriousness though, I felt as though I definitely owed something to this fandom, as much of a hellscape as it is. TSP and everyone in the fandom has helped me so much with staying happy and keeping my head up. Everything you all do for this fandom brings me so much joy, albeit mainly being fueled by the hyper fixation on it, BUT NONETHELESS YOU ALL MAKE ME SO UNBELIEVABLLY HAPPY! I think (hc) vector is the only cishet character in all of the sonic universe which makes him being catholic that much funnier like. He goes to church wearing a "proud dad" t-shirt then he goes home to his 2 trans kids to tell them how much he supports them etc etc. Also one time someone posted how Vector would be the funniest character to be catholic only to find out in the notes that was basically canon so.
