So a fic idea I'm currently working on is that Krypton was a really cold, crystalline planet and Kyrptonians were really weird, cold-dwelling, long-lived beings. Clark's parents foresaw the disaster that was to befall Krypton, and due to exploration and research/meeting Thomas Wayne way back in the day, Jor-El knew the time would come to send his son somewhere. So instead of sending Clark as is, he engineers his son to have earthly traits -> the need to eat, the features, the good looks (and he models his looks partly off of Thomas, who has dark hair and blue eyes). Furthermore, Jor-El worries that his son, an outsider wouldn't be safe, so as a final touch, he also utilizes the fact that there's lower gravity and a yellow sun to engineer his kid to have superpowers there. Jor-El records holograms as more of a humanoid figure to relate to his young, abandoned son, but he engineers Clark for success on Earth. Him and Lara hide Clark from the rest of Krypton, their miracle baby as much as Clark was for the Kents. I envision these truths coming to the fore as Bruce and Clark decide to retrace Clark's ancestry and Bruce realizes just how much earthly DNA/traits Clark has (a surprisingly large amount).

Anyways, I'm posting this here because I'm writing it, kind of struggling with the feared Writer's Block and curious to know what you guys think.
