nah something the teacher came up with 😭

we basically had two sections; home (red) and migration (green), we all started in red

she had flash cards she gave us regarding real life situations (like fucking war and being a single, unemployed parent of 5), one card per person each round

you get to suffer (like me) for as many times as you want before you finally migrate over to green (where she gave a certain amount of jellybeans for as long as you lasted. i got the most because i stayed home until i got a card saying i was on crack)

it was an experience 😭

oh and once you get in green you get better stuff. like 350k annual or three houses

my favorite thing about researching psych is the amount of shit that secretly comes down to trauma

#like even disorders you wouldn’t expect #or that you’ve been told is 100% genetic or whatever #no. it’s not #obviously genetics are a Factor and you can be significantly more or less likely to develop certain shit #and you can end up all fucked up without trauma #but like… RARELY. #almost all of it can get triggered by childhood trauma #idk maybe we need to be doing more research into what constitutes as traumatic enough to fuck someone up #and how to prevent that shit from happening to kids and ruining lives #i think a lot of problems could be solved if every expecting mother was sat down and told #‘if you talk about dieting with your fucking kid there’s a significant chance of it killing them’ #‘hey don’t hit your fucking kids it fucks them for life’ #i just think that expecting parents need to be put thru extensive courses on trauma #you put women that want abortions thru so much bs. bro that’s a jellybean it doesn’t have feelings it wont grow up to have a psychotic break

Percy only likes your attention to be solely on him and no one else. Of for some reasons you are interacting with another kid he gets angry and starts to throw a fit to get you to pay attention. And you’d offend get calls from the school about Percy “pushing” or “biting” another child.

He’s a very needy child. Needing to be held by you, needs to play toys with you, even sometimes plays the hero to save you.

When you enrolled him in school you didn’t know how he would react. He would cause trouble to get sent home, do anything he could even finding a way to sneak out of the school. He was a trouble making.

It took some convincing to actually get him to stay in school

When he is slightly older he doesn’t acted out as much. He is hiding his actions away from you.

But expect percy to glare at any man he sees talking to you or even sending a glance your way.

Helping you with the groceries and refusing to let you carry a lot.

“Mama” he peeks his head into the kitchen, “I need help with this question.” and you of course help him. even tho he understood the small question.
