hii i tried following that one forum post for a splash screen that you mentioned before in an ask, i didnt really understand it TT could you make a version for dummies? thank you!

Do you mean this ask? about this Forum post? I'll try to make it easier then, cause it mainly is some copy-pasting and some light editing.

The Splash Screen, more explanation

The code from the post will create an element that will cover the whole page, and be triggered every time the game loads (or the tab refreshes).

So first, get on the Forum post, and copy the code in the correct places:

Then you will want to edit it to customise it for your project. There is code to change in both block of code:

In the JavaScript, you will need to indicate the correct image you want to display on the screen, or any other element (like text).

In the Stylesheet, you will want to edit the colour of the background (and potentially the text colour) to match the vibe.

Here, you will want to edit the correct URL of the image you want to have on the screen.

If you want text instead of the image, you can do so by wrapping it with a < p > markup (or other relevant HTML markup):

though, you will need to edit one more thing to make it work, in the .find() line, like below (p for the < p > element, and so on):

StyleSheet

The biggest change you'd need to make for the code in the style sheet will be with the code below:

currently, the colours match the basic SugarCube UI colours. So if you've changed the UI palette for your project, you will want to edit those colours (background especially, color is only useful for text)

If you are not using an image, but some text in your splash screen, you will also need to edit this part of the code, to replace the img with the correct HTML markup:

Testing

One important thing afterwards, will be to test the splash screen (for colour, position, or even animation). Note: if you are coding in Twine and used a local image in the splash screen, don't forget to publish to file and open the HTML, rather than test/play through Twine/

If you want to test the Splash Screen, and fiddle with the CSS with the Inspect Tool of your browser, I advise you change the amount of this line in the JavaScript:

Add a bunch of zeros to increase the time (but don’t forget to remove them before uploading your file anywhere).

a scop thing im thinkinf about: Marvins character head clearly has an actual model made of like a real version of it thats not completely incomprehensivle( the loading screens) but the actual head on his sprite is like completely fucked up and when i look at it it literally looks to me like rainer rotated the regular head and shrunk it down and blew it up again over and over until it became an impenetrable blob of pixels (see below)

Where im going with this is because it looks like that i just picture rainer sitting at his stupid computer being like God im so angry(greebles your marvin) Like hes venting his frustrations by absolutey destroying a 3d model

Chemistry counts. That’s life.

It totally eludes me how it is possible to ship two characters when the actors playing them have like ZERO chemistry. Seriously. Chemistry between two actors should be key to have a decent and BELIEVABLE representation of an on-screen couple. Is it bad to say that I can’t see NONE between Lili and KJ? I believe that Lili can have chemistry with basically everything, including a table, but not with KJ. He has it with Camila, that’s probably why production ofter does screen tests, to see if two actors can pull off some ‘couple’ material, you know? Before some Barchie fan comes here ranting and saying that Lili and Cole have chemistry because they were dating, let me make another example, alright? Veronica Mars: Kristen Bell and Jason Dohring had A SH*TLOAD of chemistry on screen, ok? Just go on YouTube and find some of their scenes together, even the ones before they became a couple on the show and Logan was a full fladged jack*ss. That’s why Logan and Veronica were so BELIEVABLE as a couple. Everyone and their mom knew how powerful that couple was.

Kristen and Jason, NEVER dated. He was already happily married at the time they were just friends. That translated in a beautiful couple-chemistry. I’m sure there’s a gazillion of examples, like....Oh! Phoebe Dynevor and Rage Jean Page? Just to give you a more recent one.

That’s not my opinion as Bughead, that’s common sense, people. Lili and KJ don’t have the same level of chemistry that Lili and Cole have. That’s stating facts.

IF THERE’S one film you see at the cinema in 2018, make it Ocean’s 8.

It’s lightweight, funny as hell, star-packed, and — in a year bursting at the seams with movies about heroes fighting crime (seriously, Google “films of 2018”) — it’s high time we got to enjoy one that features a bunch of kick-arse women actually committing one. Why? For mega bucks and a s**tload of diamonds. Naturally.

If you’ve watched the trailer and are still on the fence, perhaps deterred by the level of vitriolic hostility aimed at 2016’s all-female reboot of Ghostbusters, don’t be. Ocean’s 8 has got everything fans of the franchise have come to know and love in any respectable heist film: the glitz, the glamour, the high stakes, the mad money, the brilliant but not entirely risk-free plan, the scheming, and this time, eight leading ladies driving it home.

Cate Blanchett, Sandra Bullock, Anne Hathaway, Sarah Paulson, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, Mindy Kaling and Awkwafina (not to mention a whole Met Gala-full of celeb cameos) all star in this female-led reboot, and each of them get their moment.

Eleven years after the popular trilogy’s last testosterone-stacked outing, Bullock stars as Debbie Ocean, the incarcerated sister of George Clooney’s late, lamented Danny Ocean. She’s finally paroled after serving five years in prison and heads directly to old partner in petty crime Lou (Cate Blanchett) to help her pull off the most ambitious heist of all time.

The goal? Stealing $US150 million of worth of Cartier diamonds off the neck of self-involved movie star Daphne Kluger (Anne Hathaway) while the annual Met Gala is taking place in New York City. Amazing what a professional robber can cook up while sitting in the slammer for half a decade.

To pull it off, the reunited duo assembles a motley crew of crims, who all have an essential part to play in walking away with Cartier’s world-famous Toussaint necklace.

One line that doesn’t go unnoticed comes from Debbie, who convinces Lou why they shouldn’t bring a bloke on board to get the job done. “A him gets noticed, a her gets ignored, for once we want to be ignored,” she tells her.

A subtle nod to the backlash all-female movies have been facing? Or perhaps simply a comment on the reality of being a woman getting s**t done in a man’s world. Either way, the idea that the combination of Bullock, Blanchett, Rihanna, Kaling, Hathaway, Bonham Carter, Paulson, and Awkwafina would ever go unnoticed is laughable.

Special mention must go to Hathaway, who plays the role of high-strung starlet with just the right amount of actor narcissism — which seems particularly cheeky, given the very famous faces who make cameo appearances during the Met Gala scenes. She’s obsessed with her looks, her fame, and her décolletage, and it’s easy to tell Hathaway is having a hell of a time sending up the Hollywood cliche. She is delightfully ridiculous and I haven’t enjoyed her in a role this much since The Devil Wears Prada.

But each star is fabulous in their field. Paulson shines as the sticky-fingered housewife; Rihanna finally proves her acting chops as the spliff-smoking hacker; Bonham Carter is a long way from Bellatrix Lestrange as the emotionally fragile fashion designer; and where do we even begin with Blanchett? The wardrobe, the bangs, the subtle nod to her Aussie roots. Give her all the awards.

Ocean’s 8 is an unapologetically big budget women’s film, but there’s no reason to think any dude wouldn’t enjoy seeing eight female stars sparkle on the big screen as brilliantly as the diamonds they set out to steal.

Take your boyfriends, take your husbands, take your brothers, take your dads! This film shouldn’t be enjoyed alone — or without popcorn.

How can the citizens pay the the deductibles for the only health insurance policies that are affordable?

I work 2 part time jobs and neither offer health insurance, so in 2014 I will have to buy some. One comparable to the one I had when I worked a full time job would cost $600 a month but would cover prescriptions with a $20 copay for generics with a $1500 deductible and a $4500 out of pocket maximum. That is out of what I can afford. The one I can afford is only $219 a month but has a $7500 deductible which would have to be met for any benefits and there is a $12,500 out of pocket maximum. I asked them for the other drivers insurance info, but they said I would have to wait for the police report and it would include that information.
