1 favorite fic you wrote this year

Ooof I have a few favorites tbh. First one would be the ongoing Titans multichapter I am flesh, bones... I am skin, soul… which chapter 1 of was written for the Titanstober 2023 Halloween challenge. It's about Rachel getting kidnapped and tortured by Lex Luthor and I loved this idea soooo much that I decided to continue it with Rachel's road to recovery told from the perspective of her loved ones. I kind of lost the spark for it recently so I put it on hiatus but I am planning to come back to it soon!

Second one is the previous Titans multichapter Acrida, I which Dick accidentally ends up time traveling to the year 2005 and has the chance to spend a few days with baby Rachel, who is just two months old at the time. I’ve had this vision for years and this year I finally made it real. 

Third one is the last one I posted, His Sweetheart for the Hunger Games. I had no idea I’d end this year writing about Katniss and Haymitch but oh my god I love it!!!

192458 words. Wow. And this is only what's posted, I’m not counting the wips, which would add around 5000.

14. a fic you didn’t expect to write

My Titanstober fics. I wasn't planning on writing anything Titans related for a while for reasons but my never-ending love for Gar and all the stroy ideas Halloween themed prompts could create motivated me enough to come out of the woods and write for Titans again.

Funnily enough, those two fics ended up being a couple of my favorites.

"So - Your Child Got Addicted To X-K" by underwaterrock on AO3

I WILL NEVER STOP SINGING THE PRAISES OF THIS DARN FIC.

Is it emotional torture? is it uncomfortable due to how realistic it is? did it fill my head with imagery that made me wanna cry? yes, absolutely, but that's WHY I LOVE IT. It forever lives rent free in my brain and I'll be sending the author my therapy bill because of that fact.

Also!! my friend's sequel to her jaw dropping amazing Superman and Lois fic: "A Love Without End" dropped this year but I don’t wanna spoil anything 🤫 I already know too much since I'm the one ideas get handed to for thoughts and discussions.
