I’ve been a fan of tmnt for as long as I’ve been alive tbh! My first introduction to them was a few old scattered ‘87 episodes that my brothers and I would watch, and then the live action movies after that, but I couldn’t tell you much about either (other than I remember really loving them.) 2003 came out when I was still little so I couldn’t quite catch it while it was airing much, so I watched that a little later (and while I LOVE this series I don’t remember as much about it as I wish I did, so I definitely need to rewatch sometime.) The 2007 movie was a lot of fun, as was Bayverse, but for some reason I barely saw any episodes of 2012 at all despite being the prime demographic for it (I am slowly making my way through it now though and it’s really good too!) Finally, I heard about RotTMNT and immediately fell in love with the style, so here I am now.

#that wristband I bought for the connectors is friggin heavy #like it has HEFT #it wasn't kidding about being made out of stainless steel #those links gave my expensive ass pliers a run for their money #the links on the ends don't have openings though which is kind of interesting #so I had to leave those on #it's not too bad though cause the guage seems similar to the rings I'm using and the color is close enough so aesthetically it looks OK #I was just originally thinking I'd use some small rings to attach to the watch connectors but it looks like that won't be necessary #can't do much at this point though cause I need to size it to the wrist it'll be adoring #might need to drop 2 repeats to make the clasp area and reduce the length a bit #Maybe the symmetrical look will be cute #I just felt like 6 repeats had good visual appeal and was the right balance of chainmail to watch #but it's a bit too long on my wrists and while I think the giftee has wider wrists than mine I don't think it'll be enough of a difference #to leave it as is wothought cutting the length back a bit #Plus I'll need space for the clasp so all in all it'll need to be shortened no matter what #kinda makes me wish I had a watch so I could connect it to one and model it for real #I'm just making approximations rn #but overall I'm happy with it and excited to gift it

I’m working on my trans kagami write up, and one of the points I plan to touch on is the character design in miraculous and what it says about each character. Which is hard to do when everyone’s civilian forms look so … awful LOL. Aside from color themes which the show tends to do very well (like with adrien and marinette being almost total inverts of each other, and the consistent black vs white theme and how that ties to their alignment.) It’s a little difficult to interpret personality from character designs when those designs barely show the character’s personality. I feel like this was probably done for animation purposes to make things easier to animate, but it ends up making all of the characters look stale next to each other — the colorful jeans and shoes work for Zoe, but not marinette. She’s is a fashion designer but she wears a blazer, pink denim capris, and flats? Almost all of the women wear pants, which isn’t unrealistic but… surely at least a few of them would wear skirts or dresses, right? And not to mention some of these hairstyles are just plain bad (looking at you, mylene and kagami and max. Honestly, maxs entire outfit needs to go too…)

I’ve heard that season 6 plans to have redesigns for some or most of the cast and I hope that’s true. If so, Im praying this time they’re a bit more visually interesting and deliberately designed, especially so I can pick apart the symbolism behind the designs ehehehe. They really need to be put in something other than Jeans And A T Shirt. Some of the best designs are from characters that were introduced later and it’s very obvious.

For a less serious relationship, especially one of a more strictly sexual nature, he strongly prefers people whose personalities, or at times even loyalties, just outright clash with his, or otherwise being someone he just doesn’t get along with ( because chances are, they will be more inclined to physically hurt him during ) is much more his want. In an ideal world, he can have a mix of aspects of both.

Acts of service and Words of Affirmation primarily.
