Odyssey is definitely one of my ac games right up there with Origins (with Kassandra being my fav ac mains). But the ending felt so abrupt I thought there was a glitch or there was something I was missing. I’m currently playing Valhalla while it isn’t bad I hate that in order to proceed the settlement has to be a certain level.

i haven’t played origins i bought ac odyssey back in 2018 exclusively bc i knew i could play as a lesbian and did not know anything abt ac 😩 after odyssey i feel like i would have a hard time going back to origins bc 1. male main character and 2. it being not an open world would feel so different. but i’m glad i’m not the only one that felt like that it just felt so like. unresolved. i was sitting there like umm. is that it? felt like there was no pay off esp since i killed every cult member and nothing was said abt that at all after u destroy the pyramid. it’s like u did it! and then nothing. but i also started playing valhalla two days ago & i haven’t gotten to leveling up the settlement yet bc i always start running off doing shit & getting distracted 😩 so not sure yet how i am going to feel abt that. i def don’t think it’s bad but it’s hard playing right after odyssey bc i can’t help but compare them & odyssey was like. Exactly the type of video game i love. so everything different in this game i’m like all picky abt. i’m enjoying it the more i play it though so we will see i guess. hope for both our sakes there is a more satisfying ending this time lol 🙏

#tag talk #been playing a new minecraft world. went back to 1.12.2 to play Tektopia cause it's still hands down the best colony sim mod I've found. #and honestly it's a lot of fun to play without making big farms or anything. no elytra no iron farm no mob grinder just playing. #I did add the mod that gives you xp from harvesting crops because it makes enchanting gear way more accessible and I like it like that. #I also miss the old ore generation. strip mining isn't very fun so it's nice to be able to dig for all your ores in one place #having to dig for iron at ~y=0 and then dig a second time for iron at - 56 just fucking sucks. and deepslate is cool but sucks to dig throug #anyway yeah I've been just building a starter base first so I've got the resources to build and care for my town starting out #it's gonna be a forest vibe. town hall is gonna be up in a big tree in the center so I've been building that up rn. #oak logs + spruce planks really is pretty much the best combo ever. they look so good. I'm bad at making custom trees though so it's hard #idk what design I'm going for with the ground buildings. I haven't gotten there yet. I don’t have any fancy equipment like a 3D printer or a vacuum chamber, I made the sculpt by hand, and I fucked up a lot along the way, but all that being said I’m proud of what I was able to accomplish and I learned a lot. I put in more gold than I meant to, but honestly, it was meant to represent scripture’s gilded edges, and as it turned out, it looks really beautiful or quite filthy depending on the lighting, which feels entirely appropriate for scripture.

It was hard to read all of those verses. But as I tore them up I bathed them in the intention to take words that were meant to inflict queer pain wherever they go, and say “Actually, I pull those words out when I want some queer pleasure.” Build joy where they want you to have it the least.
