I'm bad at making custom trees though so it's hard#idk what design I'm going for with the ground buildings. I haven't gotten there yet. I'm gonna lay out the paths first and then do buildings#get an idea of the shape of the town before I decide what the buildings are gonna look like when fitting in. lotsa leaf block hedges for sur#I also miss when fishing gave you better enchanted books. it was the best way to avoid having to do villager trading.#I got an autofish mod on latest version (1.20) and spent the entire night fishing with a maxed out fishing rod and got zero mending books#like. I don't want to be forced to do villager trading. they're trying to cut back and balance villager trading.#so why tf can't I get mending anymore. it's stupid.#I also put in a disenchanting mod that lets you transfer enchants from tools onto books so that's a good way to get mending from all those..#all those extra fishing rods and bows that fish up once you already have a maxed one.#I need to make a second rod without luck of the sea so I can fish up more lily pads. I don't need anymore enchanted books#anyway. by I'm gonna go snooze in bed some more

By Arrangement (Chapter 2)
Chapter 2
Aglaia woke in a slightly better temper. She nibbled at her breakfast tray, ignoring the beef and lentils in favor of the apple and bread. She had heard from her father that the Pharaoh wished for her to spend time with his son, to get to know him. It made sense, but she did not want to spend her days cooped up in the temple-library, learning his language! Nonetheless, it was vital that she learn, for how else would she communicate with him?
Atemu gazed at her for a moment before he returned to the scroll he was studying. He could hear the soft whisper of the ostrich feather fan Mahaado was fanning her with. It was an oddly soothing sound. Despite the early spring weather, the Princess had brought along her servant to fan her, claiming that she was unused to the oppressive heat. Atemu wondered how she would fare when the strong rays of summer came upon the land and Ra’s golden boat drew closer. He still did not know why Mahaado wore hooded robes, but at the moment, he had history to study, and he would at least try to pay attention.
Mahaado watched as the Princess picked up her reed pen, scowling as she attempted to copy the hieroglyphics. How her hand ached to hold a pen, to write upon the thin plaster, to trace those few symbols her mother had shown her as scratches in the dirt. How she ached to learn more of her mother tongue. But she remained silent, and fanned, and listened.
Hours later, the lessons for the day ended. Atemu stretched, as did several of the other students, although the priest in charge of the day’s lesson scowled at them and warned them that if he caught them slacking off, they would feel the rod. Aglaia was ill-tempered from the lesson, as the priest that had been tutoring her had said that a child could have done better. Her body ached despite the many embroidered silk cushions she had sat upon, and she felt sticky with sweat even with the fan.
She retired to her chambers, eager to relax. Atemu had no such recourse. He had further lessons in the courtyard.
Archery was the lesson for the day, and he concentrated as best he could. Although he had a specially made bow because he was too weak to draw the standard ones, every arrow hit its target and the guardsman in charge of practice grunted in approval.
He found his way to the kitchens, wondering if he would see Mahaado again, but he did not, although he did claim a handful of dried dates.
He sensed that she had many secrets, and he ached to unravel them all…
Several days passed. That evening, Atemu had reluctantly accompanied Aglaia to the royal gardens. His father had hinted that he was not spending enough time with his betrothed, and so, he had invited her to tour the royal gardens once the heat of day had passed. Aglaia seemed content for the moment, exclaiming over the beautiful blooms, and she had even haltingly managed to say Flower and Beautiful in his language. That was progress.
Mahaado trailed them, a silent shadow. They had paused under a fig tree, laden with flowers, and Aglaia had reached up to pick one for her hair. She had unknowingly disturbed a poisonous serpent in the branches, and Mahaado had shoved the Princess aside, getting bitten herself. Aglaia screamed.
Atemu gasped as the serpent slithered away. He recognized the snake for its poison. If not treated swiftly, such was fatal. Before he knew what he was doing, he had put his mouth to Mahaado’s wound and was sucking out the poison.
“P-Prince…” Mahaado stared at him, wide-eyed. Her hood had fallen back, exposing her shaved head. Atemu ignored it as he kept sucking, before spitting out the poison. Just then, several royal guards came running. Atemu reassured them that he and the Princess were unharmed, and sent several of them to search for the asp and remove it from the royal gardens.
Aglaia finally recovered from her paralysis, and tore a strip of linen from her chiton. She handed it to Atemu to wipe his mouth with.
“Prince, why did you save me?” Mahaado asked, unable to stop herself. As a servant – almost a slave – her life was worth little, and yet Atemu had risked death himself to help her… From that moment on, she swore she would serve him loyally, as she served her Princess.
“Because you are a human, and you bleed, as I bleed.” Atemu said.
Aglaia shook her head in disagreement and said something in Greek.
“This one is only a servant, Prince.” Mahaado translated, looking down. “And it is a servant’s duty to die for their Master.”
Atemu frowned. “And perhaps, in another life, there will be no such things as Masters and Servants, but all will be equal.” He would have said more, but Aglaia turned her back to leave and ordered Mahaado to follow her. The girl obeyed, and Atemu watched her go. Now he had time to wonder why she was bald. Had she committed some heinous crime?
Surely she was not like the women of court, who shaved their heads to wear fine wigs…
And she was thin, far too thin, he thought as he remembered holding her arm. She worked hard, and yet, the Princess did not seem to treat her that well. True, a servant had to serve their master loyally, but Mahaado had saved Aglaia’s life, had she not? And not a single word of thanks…
He would investigate the matter further, he resolved.
The next morning, he woke up extra early so he could wait in the kitchens. His persistence was rewarded, as Mahaado came to prepare a tray of breakfast for the Princess, as she did almost every morning.
Mahaado flushed when she saw Atemu, but he stopped her before she knelt again.
“My Prince…” She swallowed. “I will never be able to repay your kindness, but I will serve you to the best of my ability, as I serve the Princess.”
“Thank you, Mahaado,” Atemu smiled. “I know that you will keep your promise.” He frowned as he studied her. Her loose robes could not hide her slender body or her graceful walk. He noticed her eyes wandering around the trays of food placed within his easy reach, and he saw hunger in them, even as she turned and began to make up a tray for the Princess.
He picked up a handful of honeyed almonds and offered them to her. Mahaado froze; her sea-green eyes wide. She took them with trembling hands and was about to place them on the tray, when Atemu shook his head.
“No, Mahaado,” He smiled. “These are for you.”
“Prince…” She hesitated, clearly torn between hunger and fear. “This food is for the nobles, not for the servants.”
“Eat them,” He said, smiling. “I want you to have them. Must I command you to eat them when you are clearly hungry?”
Mahaado waited for another second, before she thanked him and began to eat. Atemu watched, feeling a pang in his heart. He did not want to see her hungry. He did not know why he cared for this servant, but he offered her salted fish and bread, which she accepted. Too soon, however, she had to leave to bring breakfast to the Princess.
He would see her again, though, at lessons, and for that, he was grateful.
Atemu waved away a fly that had almost settled on his nose as he practiced his penmanship. Priest Fakhir had once been a royal scribe, and he had many strong words to say about the importance of every hieroglyphic, how each stroke must be perfected. He could hear the man lecturing the Princess, as Mahaado translated.
“Why must I learn this?” Aglaia demanded. “When I am Princess, I shall have royal scribes of my own to write for me.”
Priest Fakhir’s eyebrows rose. “And you would place your trust in mere men when the fate of nations can ride on the stroke of a pen?”
Aglaia paused, thinking about the question. Although young, she had seen glimmers of court intrigue and was aware of the power of greed. “No, but I do have a servant who I can trust.” She smiled, although it was not sweet. “Mahaado!”
Mahaado kept fanning, slowly. “What is your command, Princess?”
“This servant will not betray me,” Aglaia said haughtily. “And she is of your country. Teach her instead.”
“A servant,” Priest Fakhir tilted his head to the side, considering the girl. She had intelligent enough eyes, he supposed. And certainly, she already spoke their language. It would be an exception, but there were a few other young women taking lessons, priestesses in training, one who might one day wear the Sennen Tauk. Nonetheless, he refused to stray from the path his Pharaoh had laid out. Akunumkanon wanted a Great Royal Wife for his son, who could rule at his side, the Isis to his Horus, and that demanded not only grace and beauty, but also a keen mind.
“If it is your wish, I shall certainly teach your servant as well, Princess,” Fakhir spoke slowly. “However, it is the Pharaoh’s decree that you progress in your lessons as Atemu does.”
Aglaia felt her temper rising, but she dared not contradict the man further. His stern gaze warned her that such would bring no profit, so she silently vowed she would punish him when she became Queen. Until then, she would endure.
Priest Fakhir brought a reed pen, a cake of black ink, and a sycamore palette covered with a thin layer of plaster to the astonished Mahaado, who was still grasping the ostrich feather fan. “Come with me,” He said abruptly. Mahaado carefully set the fan down as Aglaia called for another slave to come fan her. One brawny young man dressed in a simple shenti quickly obeyed.
Aglaia glared balefully at the hieroglyphics, picked up her pen, and began to write slowly. One day…
Mahaado was still stunned as Priest Fakhir led her into his office. “Before I begin your tutelage, let me test your capability.” He said. Mahaado nodded mutely, still unable to believe her good fortune. Isis must have responded to her prayer! Prince Atemu had fed her, and now she could even attend lessons with the Princess!
Priest Fakhir reached for a scroll. He unwound it, showing Mahaado the hieroglyphics at the top. “Read this to me.”
Mahaado stared for a moment, before she almost whispered out the words. “May Thoth’s baboon protect the royal scribe?”
Priest Fakhir smiled. “So you did have the beginnings of learning. I wondered.” He said no more, but continued to test her on the hieroglyphics. As they proceeded deeper into the scroll, Mahaado faltered, but he did not seem angry. He now knew how to proceed.
She certainly knew more than the Princess, so he would tutor them separately, he decided. And from the expression on her face as he had handed her the writing tools, she would not be a lazy student. That was all he needed to know.
Pharaoh Akunumkanon received the news with slight surprise, but conceded that there was no harm in teaching the Princess’s servant, as long as Priest Fakhir remained competent in his duties to teach those more deserving, the Prince and Princess and future priests and scribes. What was one more servant?
Aglaia retired early that evening, but Mahaado stayed up for several hours, tracing symbols with her pen on the palette, over and over. She had no shrine in her quarters, but she set up a small piece of wood with the symbol of the tyet, the knot of Isis, and offered beer and barley bread to the goddess, in thankfulness.
Morning dawned, and Mahaado woke eagerly, wishing to see the Prince again, and perhaps, along with the Princess’s breakfast, she could bring back a more fitting offering for the goddess. She performed her morning prayers hastily, dressed in a clean robe and headed to the kitchens. To her delight, Atemu was there.
“Mahaado,” He smiled at her, and she hastily bowed.
“Prince,” She replied, almost as an equal, but her eyes were properly lowered to the floor as decorum intended. She should not hunger for more, and yet…
Atemu smiled, and handed her a flat cake made of dried fruit. Such was surely fit for an offering to Isis, as they were similar to the ones dedicated to the temples. She thanked him and tucked it into her robe. He frowned when he saw that she did not eat, and offered her another, which she took gratefully. However, a moment later, Eudora entered the kitchens, frowning when she spotted Mahaado.
“Are you still dawdling, lazy one? The Princess has woken and where is her breakfast?”
Mahaado froze and hastily began to assemble a tray, placing the cake upon it. Eudora, eagle-eyed, had not missed the fact that she was holding it, and would never have allowed her to take it herself.
Atemu frowned, but did not reprimand the elder servant. He would observe, he decided. As Mahaado left with a tray heavily laden, he hoped that she would eat the other cake. He nibbled on the one he had taken for himself.
At lessons, Mahaado looked pale, but Atemu could only spare her a glance, for Priest Labib had caught him when he fumbled one of the lines he had been reciting from the Book of the Dead and was now forcing him to repeat the entire section from memory until he had every word perfect.
He was weary when the lessons ended. If not for the fact that he was Prince, Priest Labib might have beaten him, for he had made several other mistakes. He had seen several of his royal companions smirking at him. No doubt they would have snide remarks to make.
Seto chided Atemu for his distraction, while Karim said nothing. Jalal and Hatim snickered nastily.
“Thinking of your betrothed, Atemu?” Hatim sneered. “She is as a pomegranate blossom in bloom. Small wonder your mind was distracted!”
Atemu refused to answer, knowing that a negative answer would provoke even more questioning while a positive answer would cause them to continue their teasing.
Jalal reached over to ruffle Atemu’s spiky hair. “She may be a fine woman, but will you be a man for her?”
Atemu pulled away, not wishing to quarrel. Those two were the sons of noblemen, and delighted in teasing him. He would not pull rank on them, for his father, the Pharaoh, had warned him years ago that he must fight his own battles.
Aglaia was not pleased, for Priest Fakhir had set a simple exercise for her to copy and had spent almost half an hour working with Mahaado. How dare he waste his time on a mere servant instead of tending to her? But she could not punish him, so when she returned to her quarters, she declared that Mahaado would receive no evening meal for her insolence.
Mahaado bowed low, and turned to leave. Penelope bit her tongue. She knew that Princess Aglaia treated Mahaado harshly, but could not understand why. Nonetheless, she spoke no words, afraid for her own position.
Princess Aglaia then ordered Mahaado to begin her tasks as she took Penelope with her out to visit the royal menagerie, as Atemu had sent an invitation. The servant drew a bucket of water and began to clean the chamber thoroughly, for dust and sand had drifted in through the open windows. Eudora helped, but did not speak. For two hours they toiled, before the room was clean.
Princess Aglaia had not returned, but Mahaado prepared her evening meal from the kitchens, and then set it out for her. She prepared a bath and laid out her clothing. She rarely helped the Princess bathe, for Aglaia preferred Penelope’s gentle hands. When at last the Princess returned, Aglaia dismissed her.
Mahaado returned to her room. Ignoring the grumbling in her stomach, she laid the cake of fruits before Isis, said her prayers, and ate her ration of barley bread and beer.
Perhaps one day, Aglaia would no longer hate her…

In addition, it could escape sticky residue, or gunpowder less complicated.
For those who have the correct resources, cleansing hunting gear will not be a significant trouble. So, make certain to inventory on these products and solutions and develop them out next a day's hunting!
Hunters are deciding on crossbows for searching in excess of ever before. Partly because of crossbows now being a lawful means of hunting in many states, and partly simply because using a crossbow for looking is currently getting extra socially acceptable. Should you be previously a bowhunter, not Substantially will modify in your hunting strategies after you acquire for the woods having a crossbow. If you are a gun hunter that's aiming to shell out additional time within the woods, and have now selected a crossbow for searching, you might or might not have to regulate your searching strategies. Let us Examine some of areas of searching having a crossbow you gun hunters should want to consider in advance of heading towards the woods using a crossbow for the first time.
First thing very first. You at the moment are bow hunting. Bowhunting is about getting near. Ignore deer drives and standing at the sting of the discipline using your shotgun. Although it continues to be properly fantastic to hunt from the bottom when hunting with a crossbow, you now must get closer for your prey than you at any time could have been prior to. Ground blinds certainly are a massively well-liked method of bowhunting, especially using a crossbow. They may be perfect for concealing a hunters movement and many offer you a good amount of home for a crossbow. Treestands are in all probability the preferred solution to bow hunt. If you are an capable entire body hunter with no panic of heights, searching from a treestand might have quite a few benefits compared to sitting down on the ground. Treestands give an improved vantage place allowing for a crossbow hunter to observe game at more distances. By currently being elevated, they help hide human scent and also have the hunter from the road of sight from eager eyes. Just one important variable to indicate is always that arrows shot from the crossbow at an elevated position might not strike a similar position as they do when shot from the crossbow at ground degree at exactly the same distances. As being a rule they Generally Really don't. Usually they can strike a pair inches bigger. So I strongly advise training from an elevated place right before heading towards the deer woods for the first time along with your crossbow.
Your shot length even though crossbow searching are going to be shorter of that by using a gun. Although lots of todays crossbows are able to some rather astounding groups at for a longer period yardages, usually They can be obtained although shooting your crossbow from a bench. The arrow from a crossbow won't shoot just like the bullet from the gun. It would not choose A great deal to change the route of the crossbow arrow. Unseen branches or limbs can deflect a crossbow arrow to the point of really missing a deer totally, as well as even worse, wounding a person. Try and only just take pictures which have open up paths involving you and the animal. Cutting taking pictures lanes right before time is sweet follow. Your utmost distance to shoot should be a private selection. Understand that deer are moving targets. Because it is possible to shoot the "X" from a bullseye at sixty yards together with your crossbow within your yard doesn't suggest that ought to be your max yardage when looking that has a crossbow in the field. The farther the shot, the higher the margin for mistake. I stated it the moment ahead of and I'll say it all over again. Bowhunting is about getting close!!!
Shot placement is the following thing to look at when earning the change to crossbows for searching. No extra aiming with the shoulder or using that neck shot. Most times you can only get one shot when searching with a crossbow, so make it count. When searching with arrows and broadheads, animals die from hemorrhage not shock. Which means a effectively put arrow is essential. You'll want to set the sights of one's crossbow guiding the shoulder while in the critical organs. A broadside shot or a bit quartering away shot is good.
Crossbows are commonly loud. Not as loud like a shotgun or rifle, but loud when compared with most compound bows. Hope your deer to "leap the string" which in fact signifies that they are ducking the string. So listen into the demeanor with the deer. Could it be serene and comfortable or can it be alert and attentive? Whether it is comfortable, then aiming mid way up the body to slightly below midway is nice. Whether it is alert and has produced you out, aiming within the decrease third of the human body, or at the center will provide you with some further home In the event the deer does duck the string. A effectively positioned crossbow arrow will dispatch a deer in the issue of seconds. Which delivers us to the subsequent subject with the beginner crossbow hunter. What to look for after the shot and just how long in the event you wait around ahead of monitoring.
Hopefully once you shoot your crossbow you may also be capable of Stick to the arrow right until it hits the animal. The first thing you ought to do is pay attention to wherever your arrow strike. Did the shot glance good? Which means was it driving the shoulder and during the vitals? Did the shot sense great? Have been you capable to adhere to through with the shot, or did you pick your head approximately attempt to "peak"? What did the deer do after the shot. Did it operate off gracefully or did it appear wounded? Listen up!!! Did you hear the deer slide around? Or could you hear it operate until it had been out of earshot. Every one of these elements will probably be indicators of when you ought to start out monitoring. The final general guideline is to wait no less than a fifty percent hour right before tracking on a well positioned shot. Obviously if the thing is DeerProject the deer drop around, you can check out it right away. If you're not positive where you strike it, or you realize it was a marginal shot, give it time. How much time genuinely will depend on your routine. The more time the greater. Most instances, deer shot with a marginal strike will likely not run pretty considerably if not pushed. Go get breakfast or lunch, or even wait until eventually another morning If https://ask.fm/deerproject24291 you're able to. Despite minimal to no blood, often periods you'll be able to Get well deer in this example just by offering them plenty of the perfect time to expire. Nonetheless, all much too usually the nervous hunter starts tracking marginally hit deer way too early only leap them from their bed. Doing this typically ends in the wounded deer functioning to another county leaving the crossbow hunter empty handed. Figuring out when and when not to trace deer originates from experience. With any luck ,, In case you are gun hunter changing to crossbows for looking you may already have some knowledge under your belt. Otherwise, It'll be part of the procedure when Discovering to crossbow hunt.
The paragraphs higher than provides you with a superb head commence when using a crossbow for hunting The 1st time. It could be almost impossible to protect the entire areas which make searching with a crossbow unique than searching that has a gun. Some belongings you can only find out from working experience with your crossbow and spending time hunting with it from the woods. Sometimes what is effective for just one hunter may not utilize to a different. In the end, only you should be able to make a decision yourself what performs the most effective in your case. Ideally I have provided you a head start off on What to anticipate when deer looking which has a crossbow and what may very well be unique when compared to searching deer using a gun.

1970 Plymouth Cuda Gets a New Convertible Top
As is probably true for most do-it-yourselfers, car enthusiasts don’t like to do things twice. We expect stuff to work as advertised the first time. A little fine-tuning is one thing, but having to fiddle around with the latest go-fast gadget for very long will quickly lead to posting negative reviews.
Bolt-ons should bolt on and not have to be custom fitted, massaged, and reworked. This is expected from hardware and wishfully hoped for with electronics, but what about software? Not computer software, but the soft parts of a car like the carpet, seat covers, and convertible tops.
Yes, the fabric parts of a car. The fit is a bit more subjective to each one. In some ways it’s like a fine suit. The pattern is basically the same for everyone, but the fit is tailored to each individual.
Installing a convertible top will make more sense if it’s thought of the same way. We tend to think of one Cuda being just the same as the next one, but anyone who’s ever spent time with a muscle car will tell you that they’re not at all identical.
When it comes to fitting a new convertible top, this is especially true if all the mechanicals of the top frame have been removed, replaced, or restored in the process, as even subtle changes there can affect the overall fit.
What Muscle Car Restoration of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin, has learned over years of installing convertible tops is that each one needs to be custom tailored to the car. They aren’t simple bolt-ons, but rather each one will need multiple repositioning of the different parts of the top to get every area tight and wrinkle free.
That means that you can expect to have to pull up and re-staple some areas and peel back parts that have already been glued — perhaps multiple times. Fortunately, contact cement will allow repositioning for up to 24 hours, but even so it would be best to plan to get it done in a single workday.
Installing your own top is very doable — just be certain that you have everything you need for the job. Take your time, have an extra pair of hands available, and set aside a day with no interruptions.
Start by marking centerlines on the header (front), rear bows, and under the front edge of the header bow. Do the same for the vinyl. Nothing will come close to fitting correctly if it doesn’t start out straight.
There’s a pair of top pads that run the length of the top on both sides that are each glued to the header bow.
In addition to contact cement, the front pad is also screwed to the top of the header bow.
The pad is then stretched from the front to the rear bow, where it gets a couple staples on the edges to hold it in place.
A wide foam strip is laid onto the centersection of the pad. The vinyl is again pulled tight and stapled across the rear bow.
Both flaps are folded over the foam, and heavy-duty tape is applied over the edges.
The excess material is trimmed off of the rear, and a few more staples are used to secure the flaps to the rear bow.
There are three tack rails that secure the top to the back of the car. The well liner snaps to the inside of these rails, so holes will need to be drilled in the new tack rails for those snaps using the old rails as a guide. It’s possible that the snaps on the new well liner won’t line up with the old snap locations, so it’s worthwhile to check the new liner snap locations against the tack rail as you go.
The back side of the top has guides marked on it to give a starting point for the alignment of the tack rails, but each car is a little different so it’s possible, even likely, that the top will need to be repositioned after the first fitting.
The rear window section of the top is stapled to the rear tack rails first using the guides on the material.
With the rear window part of the top stapled to the tack rails, the rails are bolted to the inside of the car. Don’t finish tighten the bolts yet, as these rails will be coming out again.
The top of the window section can now be pulled up onto the rear bow and stapled in a few spots to check the fit.
This is what you’re looking for out of the rear window section of the top. Getting here may require pulling, stretching, and re-stapling several times.
To begin installing the main part of the top, unbolt the tack rails, unzip the back window, and set the window and rails on a table. Using guide markings on the rear of the top (enhanced because they were hard to see) begin stapling it to the tack rails. Don’t use a lot of staples yet as you will likely need to reposition the top at least once.
With the back of the top stapled to the tack rails and the rails bolted back on the car, roll the fabric out over the frame.
There’s a pair of tension cables that fish through pockets on both sides of the top and bolt to the header bow and the rear of the car to pull and hold the sides of the top down over the side windows.
A helpful trick MCR employs is to wrap a wood block with some rags and use it to prop up the header bow during the install. That way when the top is lowered, it will impart a little extra stretch into the material.
Start by wrapping the top over the header bow, ensuring the centering marks made at the beginning are lining up. When the material is pulled tight over the bow, make a few marks on the material at the leading edge of the bow so you’ll know where to pull it back to after contact cement is applied.
Apply contact cement to both the header bow pocket and the inside of the top material. Ideally it fits good the first time, but usually it’ll need to be repositioned multiple times to get it just right. Note that the rear tack rails may need to be removed again, so the rear corners of the top can be repositioned as well.
Once the leading edge fit is confirmed, a weatherstrip channel gets screwed to the bow followed by pressing in the soft rubber weatherstrip itself.
There are also quarter flaps behind the rear quarter windows, where the material needs to be pulled around the frame and glued.
These areas will also likely need to be stretched and repositioned a few times until the fit is perfect. Weatherstrip channels are then screwed in place.
There’s a finishing strip called a wire-on that covers up the staples holding the top to the rear bow.
The wire-on staples are hidden by folding over the strip and hammering it flat.
The wire-on strip is capped off by this welt tip to complete the top.
The rear of the well liner snaps to the tack rails bolted to the back of the car. The front of it is glued to the back seat support. It’s not designed to lay flat; its main function is to cover up the structure behind the seat when the top is up and catches and directs any rainwater out the bottom of the car.
When complete, the top should be pretty much wrinkle free, but given that the top material can stretch an inch or more over its length, some minor issues may stretch out with some time. Parking the car in the sun will usually help as well.

Warning: This Article Can Cause Addiction! Alaskan Rainbow Trout Fishing of Bristol Bay on the Alagnak River with ATA Lodge!
RAINBOW TROUT FISHING ON THE ALAGNAK WILD RIVER AT ALASKA TROPHY ADVENTURES LODGE RAINBOW TROUT FISHING IN ALASKA ENJOYS AN ALMOST CELEBRITY STATUS. Those that seek them are passionate about catching them! For those “in the know” about what Alaska’s Bristol Bay Region has to offer, you could say that trout fishing is more like an obsession than a mere passion for these aficionados (or should I say aFISHionados)! They have discovered that there is no better place on Earth to pursue their quarry than the crystal-clear rivers that flow out of the Katmai National Park, in Southwest Alaska where ATA Lodge is located. AND WHY DO THESE FLY FISHING ENTHUSIASTS GET SO FANATICAL ABOUT CATCHING THE TROUT OF THE KATMAI? Well it’s quite simple really, it’s because they are more numerous, get bigger and fight harder here than almost anywhere else. Native and wild to our region, they spend their entire life cycle growing strong in the currents of the fast flowing Alagnak River. Also, these fish have a very short window of opportunity when food is available in large amounts. So the time between ice out and the next freeze is when they have to pack on as many calories as possible. That means they are aggressive and insatiable, eager to strike either surface or sub surface food sources. THERE IS OF COURSE THE THRILL OF FEELING THE INITIAL “TAKE” OF A WELL PRESENTED FLY THAT IS ANOTHER REASON ANGLERS ENJOY TARGETING THESE TROUT. That take is immediately followed by a series of explosive, line stripping runs and acrobatic leaps that literally causes grown men to “whoop” with excitement. It is euphoric and addictive. You could say that the “tug is the drug” they seek. It is the reason these privileged anglers come back year after year. There are few other places on the planet that can provide that kind of “high”. It is not only the fact that these voracious trout fight so hard and leap so much that thrills our anglers; but they happen to be the most beautiful rainbow trout on the planet as well. The Alagnak is home to variety of trout known to us as Leopard Rainbow Trout. They are called such because of the fact that they are extra-heavily spotted. BRISTOL BAY RAINBOW TROUT CAN VARY IN SIZE AND GIRTH, DEPENDING ON WHERE AND WHEN THEY ARE TAKEN. On the Alagnak River rainbows put on over 20% of their weight during the summer because of the abundance of food. The river is rich in salmon fry, eggs and the flesh from spawned-out salmon carcasses. When you catch one of our older and larger rainbows, you may be tempted to say, “look at the shoulders on that fish.” This is in reference to the large girth of the body of the fish in proportion to its head size during seasons when food is available in abundance. Although our average fish may be around 18 inches in size, many fish are caught up to and over 25 inches; and in some cases they will reach behemoth proportions in excess of 30 inches in length. WHILE A 6 WEIGHT ROD MAY SUIT TROUT FISHING IN THE LOWER 48, IT IS TOO SMALL FOR THE LARGER FISH YOU WILL ENCOUNTER IN BRISTOL BAY. Therefore we recommend a 7 weight fly rod as these fish are heavy and currents can be strong requiring heavier rods and tackle. Weight forward lines are preferred as some of our water is large and a longer cast can be of benefit. A sinking tip line will come in handy as well as a floating line which you will also need. When fishing for rainbows on the Alagnak River you will encounter diverse situations as it is a braided river, known by locals as the Branch River for its many channels and streams of varying size, depth and water conditions. OUR “BOWS” WILL TAKE A VARIETY OF OFFERINGS AS WELL. Many traditional methods and flies that work “back home” will work in Alaska as well. As the river has diverse and abundant insect life with hatches happening all season long. The exception to that rule is the large rainbows that are found here. These fish are carnivores and they thrive on what the salmon runs produce for them. And as we get the largest runs of pacific salmon in the world in Bristol Bay, that food source is abundant during the summer when the Alagnak is a rich source of salmon eggs, alevins, fry and smolt, not to mention https://www.atalodge.com/blogs/news/warning-this-article-can-cause-addiction-alaskan-rainbow-trout-fishing-of-bristol-bay-on-the-alagnak-river-with-ata-lodge all the rotting flesh of the salmon which die after spawning. They also feed on sculpins, leeches and even mice that sometimes fall into the river from the vegetation along the shoreline. So depending on the time of year, our trout will be focusing on one or more of these different sources of food. Fishermen will need the “match the hatch” and those who come up with imitations of the appropriate type of food that the fish are concentrating on in the moment, will have the best success. In June, right after the trout have finished spawning and before the salmon arrive, dry fly fishing is very effective, matching insect hatches that are happening on the river. This is also a great time to try out a mouse pattern skated across the surface of the river. THERE IS NOTHING MORE EXCITING THAN SEEING A BIG LEOPARD RAINBOW TROUT ATTACK A MOUSE IMITATION ON TOP OF THE WATER! This is also the beginning of the smolt out migration when the young salmon, born in the river, migrate out to sea for the first time. June is a time when leeches in the river are spawning as well. So switching over from surface flies to smolt patterns and big leech streamers are another great way to catch a lot of trout. These fish are not leader shy, and can be extremely aggressive - so you may want to go up in tippet size to ensure these brutes don't break you off, Once the salmon arrive and start to spawn tactics will change from swinging steamers and casting dry flies to drifting beads and egg imitations along the bottom of the river. This is a sure fire way to catch trout once the salmon have started to drop their eggs. The later in the season after the salmon start to die and rot, we will switch again to swinging streamers that imitate the rotting flesh of the decaying salmon. ATA Lodge is an ideal place to come and experience the type of fishing described in this article. We are situated at mile 52 from Bristol Bay itself along the banks of the fabled Alagnak Wild and Scenic River. The Alagnak River is made up of our Norther and Southern tributaries. The Upper Alagnak flows out of Kukaklek Lake 29 miles above our camp which is joined by the Nonvianuk River which flows out of a lake of the same name 20 miles upstream of us. These two twin lakes are true jewels in the Katmai National Park and Preserve. The confluence of these two rivers is only 6 miles above ATA Lodge. So in effect we have over 100 miles of 3 rivers within easy jet boat access to the lodge which we have to choose from. This means that we don’t have to depend upon expensive “fly outs” to keep our clients happy and in to lots of fish. Located at the top of the the Alagnak’s famous “Braids”, where every mile of river represents perhaps 2-3 miles of fishable channels, we have well over 100 miles of accessible water to explore – ensuring that you will rarely see another fisherman and experience a truly wild and remote Alaska that few have the privilege to fish. There is none of the “combat fishing” that fishermen to many other parts of the state have to endure. And if that weren’t enough, there are even more rivers and streams that you could visit during your stay. The headwaters and tributaries of the Alagnak River System begin their journey to the sea in the Aleutian Mountain Range which is visible from the Lodge. These head waters are home to some other famous trout fishing waters of the Katmai - names the initiated will recognize immediately like Moraine, Funnel, Battle, American, Kulik – names of rivers that fill a trout fisherman’s dreams at night. Fly outs to these as well as “big trout” rivers like the Naknak and Kiviak are only short flights away. So as you sit and read this article, whether on your computer at home or while day dreaming back at the office, I know you already have a smile on your face and have had to wipe the saliva from your mouth just thinking about when your next trip to this trout fisherman’s paradise will be – and to be honest, whenever that is, it can’t come quickly enough! SO WHEN IT THE BEST TIME TO COME? FOR THE TROUT FISHING PURIST, I SUGGEST COMING ANY TIME FROM JUNE 8 WHEN THE RIVER OPENS THROUGH TO THE END OF THE MONTH. As mentioned above, this is a great time for dry fly fishing and using Mouse patterns on the surface, as well as swinging articulated leech and sculpin streamers. The fish haven't been fished in 8 months at that time so are not shy. They have just finished spawning and are ravenously hungry as the salmon haven't arrived yet to start dropping eggs. This is also a time of the year we offer our 3 for the price of 2 special which makes these weeks among the most affordable anywhere in Alaska for the quality of fishing and experience you will have. ANOTHER GREAT TIME TO COME FOR THE TROUT FISHERMAN WHO HAS ALWAYS DREAMED OF CATCHING A GORGEOUS LEOPARD RAINBOW TROUT IS IN SEPTEMBER. We call this our trophy trout time as the trout have been gorging on salmon eggs for weeks and their girth will have increased considerably. The trout will be feeding frantically as they sense the bounty is about to end. We will be finishing with the egg patterns soon and switching over to swinging flesh flies now. This is also a beautiful time on the river as well as the colors of autumn have started to set in. No matter when you choose to come, we'll be waiting with the kettle on! Hope to see you soon!
