Basically, the short version of it is that HS’s dick must have magic fairy dust or some shit because from what I heard FIRST HAND...OW apparently saw it once and fell in a black hole lmao. Literally forgot she had a job. So then basically FP was like “I mean………I GUESS SOMEONE HAS TO MAKE THIS FUCKING MOVIE?????” and stepped up to pretty much direct it herself. It’s clear that FP is a no punches pulled person and I'm assuming at one point she blew up on her and called her out and that's what lead to the ultimate big DRAMAAAAAAAAAA towards the end of that set. It was apparently a shit show. And even though there are NDAs galore, multiple people have either confirmed it in roundabout ways online or I've heard direct confirmation from people who know people who worked on it that it was A MESS.

OW and FP? Not friends lol. I'm DYING to see this press tour and see how they navigate this shit because I know they're going to be the ultimate professionals about it but PHEWWWWWW I can't WAIT to see them fake their way through it. I want to see the movie about the movie. That would probably end up being so much better than the actual thing.

Everyone on twitter is convinced OW is going to get an Oscar directing nom for this (and obviously if it's terrible she won't) but it's also a September release which means they're AT LEAST going to make a push for it. If she does when FP was supposedly the one who did so much of the directing work I would sell my soul to the devil five times over to be in EVERY SINGLE ONE of FP's text threads the day Oscar noms come out because they're going to be SO SPICY.

That's also the funniest part about this dude's fans claiming that this is "a stunt". Bro it's so fucking real that it LITERALLY derailed the production of the movie. They're so into each other that they both forgot they were there to work. It was just a fuck/love fest as soon as they fell into it. They're just drugged up on each other apparently. it continues to baffle me how many readers advocate for the show entirely cutting the andoran succession arc, aka elayne's ONE big Main Character storyline that she leads herself (vs. being a sidekick in nynaeve's storylines). what would you do if i started advocating for cutting mat forming the band of the red hand? you wouldn't be so happy about that, would you? well, that's the equivalent of what you're suggesting for elayne, just gutting her entire arc and reducing her to a secondary character.

some readers really need to learn that "i don't like this storyline" doesn't automatically equal "this storyline is just unimportant filler that can and should be cut from the show" (and that "i like this storyline" doesn't automatically equal "this storyline is crucial to the series as a whole and the show will be unwatchable if it's cut")

In my defense, it took me 2 and a half hours to write the copy and post it across 4 different socials (and this is in addition to the time that took me to write the blog post) so by the time I got to Tumblr I was literally dying. You have no idea how grueling every single piece of this work is going to be.

There’s something that rubs me wrong about the headcanon of Dick being ethnically and culturally Romani. It’s a good headcanon. I like the fics that use this well…. But it’s very often not used well. It feels like forced diversity sometimes, like a unique thing for people to gawk at and prod.

I imagine that maybe a grandparent on one side may have been Roma, but it’s almost entirely absent in Dick’s upbringing. Alternatively, I personally prefer a Dick Grayson who was born in Europe but raised from a young age in America. Or a Dick Grayson whose parents recently moved to North America from Europe with Haly’s Circus and he was born in like Indiana or Alberta, Canada or something. Culturally, he was raised with a whole melting pot of European cultures from the adults of Haly’s Circus. Maybe he was the first born in America, and as a result, the adults intentionally chose to have him integrated into US culture.

(You probably can’t tell, but I’m projecting hard onto Dick Grayson. I grew up with my parents’ culture and it was my second language for so much of my childhood, but I’m in my mid-20s and so distant from it all that I can barely even remember basic mannerisms and vocabulary. When people ask me what I identify as, I say American because that’s about all it means to me now. I like Filipino food and music and stories, but it’s only about as much as I like the food and music and stories of say Japan or Italy. I love food history and anthropology and the like, so it’s just a thing I’m interested in rather than something I feel connected to. It’s incredibly hard to keep your cultural identity alive when there’s no one to share it with, especially if you’re detached from it at a young age (lots of family either passed away or married into white families and adapted). But there’s something oddly comforting about hearing Tagalog or even just the accent from a stranger.)

Now the four of em have different ideas in mind for him and it is A Mess and they don't Get Along and Nestle's like, "this is fine :)" and moves on with his life and continues to commit crimes and generally being an Overall Nuisance to people around him Oh also did I mention that these 4 angels are supposed to make sure he doesn't get into any more trouble. they don't do that. they're too busy arguing abt what path they should put Nestle on.

So while they're arguing Nestle's out doing Whatever the fuck. Probably not murder. Probably. Most likely vandalism and theft and also physical assault but not MURDER, no, that was a one time thing it's fine he's fine! Meanwhile In Heaven everything's going to shit because the four fuckos cannot come 2 an agreement thus meaning they can't make sure Nestle acts nice and not violent thus meaning he is still Out Here.
