Matching Jewelry

so I recently found my two matching necklaces and because one is a yin-yang necklace I remembered this silly conversation I had with a friend about BNHA boys and matching jewelry so I'm gonna list my head cannons for Genshin Anemo boys!

Barbatos (Venti)

Obviously we gotta start with the god of an(emo) himself Barsibatos (if you know, you know)

- Venti definitely would give you a matching necklace, it'd probably be some cliche mood pendant with 'friend' on it that fits like a puzzle piece to his that says 'best'. Then he'd constantly pay attention to see how often you wear it and if you're going to events you have to wear yours or else he'll (jokingly) say you're not friends anymore.

- Very dramatic like 'oh! You have broken up with me?? We aren't friends anymore??" *Faints dramatically*

Aether

The only one with a decent braincell

- Aether probably got the idea from someone else first but after some thought he got you a necklace too, however it's 1/4 of the full pendant because he also bought one for his sister and Paimon.

- Very wholesome about it and wouldn't be too upset if you didn't wear it, he'd keep his in his pocket/bag so he doesn't lose it or so it doesn't get broken in battle.

Heizou

Mr. Detective that I don't actually know much about??

- I feel Heizou is the type to get matching mood rings. Something about you not being very expressive though he's actually just wanting to sorta claim you as his.

- He'd definitely buy the rings and then put yours in a fancy box and make a big scene about putting on your ring finger like he was proposing (maybe he is?)

- He's not gonna say anything if you don't wear it, but when he sees you are, he makes it a point to announce that and pull you super close. Very much "that's my girl/boy/person" energy I guess?

Kazuha

Soft boy samurai that probably makes the jewelry tbh

- Kazuha is initially a bit uncomfortable with the idea of matching jewelry weather platonically or not.

- You find out really quickly he hides a bracelet that Tomo had made for him under his sleeve, he's not quite sure if he's ready to add another bracelet yet.

- When he decides he wouldn't mind showing off your friendship, he will make you a bracelet using different crystals/shells/etc. That he thinks fit your personality or background and will write down the meanings and significance of each material and how they relate to you.

- Kazuha is a quite guy when it comes to these things but they are in a way very sacred to him. If you don't wear your bracelet, he'll try not to voice his disappointment, but you'll be able to feel it anyways. He put his heart into that, the least you could do was show your appreciation.

Scaramouche

I would do him in both his Fatui and Wanderer arcs, but I feel he'd be less happy to make friends in his Fatui arc.

- Like Kazuha, Scara is a bit hesitant about the idea, after all he's lost everyone that's been close to him, you won't be any different surely. It takes a lot of reassurance and action to show you're planning on sticking with him before he could ever entertain the thought.

- Scara isn't really sure what the 'proper' way of going about this is, he'd probably ask Nahida or Aether for advice first and then would decide if he's doing this he's going all out and would try to find a pair of earrings he thinks fits the two of you. Depending on you two walk together, he'd give you the earring that wouldn't get tangled in his.

- This becomes a yearly thing, a way he feels most comfortable expressing his gratitude and fondness of you, so each year he'd go out and buy a new set. If you two go to events together, he'd tell you which earring he's wearing so you can match.

- however if you don't wear at least one of the earrings he gives you, consider yourself his fourth betrayal

Xiao

The king of an(emo) himself

(Sorry about the obvious favoritism, I just had Xiao in mind when making this in the first place)

- the one I feel would probably do this romantically for real and not as a joke like Heizou

- Xiao doesn't understand human relationships all that well, he's watched Liyue from a distance and has had many losses in his life so he doesn't even want to be friends let alone anything else. But of course you came along and taught him there's more to life and now he's conflicted.

- He probably asked Cloud Retainer or another adeptus about his emotions and they sighed and sent him to Madame Ping. She was overjoyed at this revelation and this was how Xiao spent a week in Liyue Harbor with Ping, Ganyu and Yanfei to observe and understand. In the end, Madame Ping gave him two necklaces representing Yin and Yang and thus he presented one to you.

- Whenever you wear it however, you feel connected to Xiao on a more deeper level and can at times channel his speed when you need it. (Adepti powers am I right?)

- Xiao never takes off his necklace, it's a reminder of the lessons he's learned, and a symbol of his feelings for you, little did either of you know, all the other adepti were making bets on when you two would properly get together.

- Zhongli comments on the necklace whenever he sees you and gives you a pair of rather special chopsticks, telling you to give them to Xiao next time you see him. You can't help but notice he has an unusually sly smile...
