Does Squidward help SpongeBob with coping with his past?

Oh, yeah he does. Squidward stays and listens to Spongebob's rants/vents about his past. Squidward sometimes is left speechless in the end because he never thought spongebob could also get included as the suspect of a brutal abuse and such traumatizing stuff in his past area.

Squidward is disciplined. He knows whats either right or wrong. He's just having a difficult time to make a decisions. Dont get him wrong that he doesnt care about Spongebob's feelings. Spongebob IS his soft spot.

What squidward does to make Spongebob feel better when he's sad is hug him.

When spongebob straightly opens up to him by surprise which spongebob just carelessly talks about his other trauma stuff he experienced in his past and makes jokes out of it and calling it a not-of-a-big-deal. Squidward just joins Spongebob with a nervous chuckle. And after that he would sometimes ask if he's alright or he's okay. Spongebob is sometimes never bothered when squid ask if he's okay just making sure.

And sometimes Spongebob gets really angry when Squidward is starting to be a

Just simple things they make sure they're doing alright or they're okay.

That kind of thing.

Still. Spongebob does get sometimes annoyed by Squidward being worried about him and stuff.

It sometimes shifts their moods around

Spongebob as the sun and squidward as the moon. But sometimes Spongebob as the annoyed and squidward as the concerned one.

Squidward when he hears from spongebob's rants about 'i found someone i love' then to 'after those happy memories i realized i've been blinded by it now we're over' so squidward not knowing spongebob had an ex was also pretty new to him to know about and also tells him about his ex too. (Squilliam that sick b-) and mocks how terrible squilliam is and kinda makes spongebob brighten a little.

Kind of that too hahaha. Forgot to say thanks for asking away i really appreciate from other anonymous anons asking me stuff about my headcanoned spongebob (also an au) about it.
