i wish the go fandom (or ...even the show) would just abandon whole 'aziraphale hates bepop' thing, it just .. its not that funny + it smells tastes and quacks like racism .. i know hes supposed to be old fashioned and behind the times but i wish like .. specifically Black american art forms werent always the butts of those particular jokes :-) i know its just straight up textual that he doesnt like it, but everytime im reading a fic where 'eugh bepop' is mentioned or one of those clips is included in a compilation of his 'cute' moments i just ..

Given what we’ve seen of Frontiers, maybe the relationship between Sonic and Amy is going to be challenged?
I'm... unsure about what they'll do with their relationship in the game.
Realistically speaking, I'm expecting more teasing than in previous mainline games (current expectations: Unleashed-levels of teasing), but there's also something awfully angsty about recent stuff they've shown. That CGI trailer scene, I'm Here's video highlighting "In my hands I hold the ones I love" and "new horizons" with blue and pink specifically. I have absolutely ZERO arguments for Vandalize being a "SonAmy song" (though I love the fact the fandom accepted it as such and created legendary pieces of art like this one), but I can't stop thinking about how it would fit after a dramatic ending. It'd be highly unusual for a modern mainline game to end on a note different from "well, we beat the baddies and everything's back to normal, onward to the next adventure!", but I swear I have no idea what to expect out of this game, and I have this lingering feeling it might not be your usual happy ending. The reason? They chose to use Vandalize as the ENDING THEME. Something's up here, Vandalize ain't a happy song, and it wasn't picked just to fit a collab slot, it has the Starfall Islands' motif, for fuck's sake. That fucking song is important, and it's making me LOSE MY HEAD OVER IT.
Anyway, yes, SonAmy Frontiers. I have no idea how much of this is going to be SonAmy-exclusive, since at the very least there's still Tails and Knuckles (and probably Eggy too?) to rescue and they'll be just as relevant to the story, but there's something rotten in here, and I'm starting to question if it's gonna be all sunshine and rainbows for them.
So, maybe Sonic and Amy's relationship will be challenged, because maybe things won't end in a very triumphant way this time. So far Sonic doesn't seem to be very bothered by anything, maybe he'll fuck up big time, maybe that'll cost him his friends. Maybe that'll set up a sequel or a series that already mentioned a "journey of self-discovery and redemption".

if there's one thing about me it's that i'll read an actor's letterboxd blurb while watching a movie and if it says they were in a band im sitting my ass down and listening to the music to see if it's bad

augh, I'm going to have to listen to it again, but ... at least on first listen-through, I wasn't a fan of Hozier's new album, at least compared to his other works to date. My reflexive, initial take: The overall sound is just several degrees more generic than is typical for him. There were fewer memorable melodies, less folk and blues influence and more muzzy synths. Several times a track would start with an interesting or at least distinctive idea and then it'd slide into sounding like every other track on the album after the intro was over.
Frankly, it reminded of the album every stomp-clap/folk/bluegrass revival band of the late aughts made after they got tired of the genre they got famous on (though Unreal Unearth is definitely still higher-quality than those tended to be).
I hope I come around on it on the second listen-through, because I've been really excited for new Hozier music! :(

At this point I think I have to accept we’re not getting anything until Indigo actually comes out or very close to, sometime after the 21st. One part of me has reached the whatever stage while the other part of me is still like, what the fuck?!
Do I get it? Not really. But I haven’t been able to make sense of a lot of shit that’s been happening since the summer. I don’t think they do either given how last minute everything has been.
I hope someone makes a documentary years after BTS disband that does an insane deep dive into them that includes this era because I would be fascinated to know what the game plan was. Since we’ll never know from the company and I don’t see any of the members doing a tell-all. Even though I would live for that, a book or otherwise. Specifically from Namjoon’s perspective ‘cause I think if anyone would write a good book it’d be him.

hybe spends no money on vocal training… because like why is minhyuk, btob’s rapper, a better vocalist than their treasured group’s main vocalist… i know someone mentioned the shinee-txt connection but it’s just… not… comparable at all. their replay cover was so weak. if they had at least one strong vocal it could maybe save their songs.
to be fair i'm pretty sure minhyuk had some talent from the get go and also he's actively interested and pursuing making music that's not just rap or disney pop on his own time. he was the one that rearranged and rescored blue moon like a jazz standard, after all. also i suspect that eunkwang probably kicks his ass about going to vocal lessons.
and it's not really that txt's cover was weak necessarily, it's just that literally no one can measure up to jonghyun and jinki. especially not on a song like that at that young an age. txt have very different vocal tones from shinee and in order for them to do a successful cover they would have to rearrange the song, because an rnb track doesn't suit their voices.
