Jake was in love.

It wasn’t those typical teen romances where people dated just for the sake of experience, no, it was something more than that. A connection deep enough to etch into the skins of one another, pulling you to him and him to you, there was an undying spark that continuously lingered without extinguishing.

Jake was the embodiment of love. He was love itself.

It was one of those days where it was only you and him, alone in his car right after he had picked you up and drove you home. But instead of leaving right away, the car was parked a few blocks down from yours, Frank Ocean’s ‘Blonde’ playing on shuffle in the background. The sky was a hue of pink and orange, telling you that it was time to head home, yet you weren’t willing to.

“Thanks for driving me home … again,” you laughed, feeling slightly embarrassed for having inconvenienced Jake, but he was thinking the complete opposite of being inconvenienced.

“It’s no problem,” Jake smiled, and no matter how hard he tried, he was still nervous around you. Maybe because he was dying to profess his love for you, confess and get you to be his, but he was holding himself back. “It’s along the way back to my house anyway,” it wasn’t.

Jake could already imagine the missed calls from his mother, text messages asking about his whereabouts, making it a routine for him to be home a little later than usual.

“Still, I feel bad sometimes,” you shrugged out of earnest. “But I’m really grateful, though,”

“I want to do this, Y/N, don’t feel bad,” his hold on the steering wheel tightened, watching the sun hitting your skin, making it almost glitter-like. You were the most beautiful person he has ever seen.

You nodded, biting on your lips thoughtfully. “I don’t really want to leave,”

Jake swore he felt his heart stop and revive, then proceeding to beat at ten times speed. The effect of your words surely made him light headed. “Then don’t,” he joked lightly, highkey dying internally. “‘Blonde’s’ still playing! Plus, ivy is next, isn’t it your favourite song?”

“You remembered!”

Of course he did. He remembered everything about you like second nature.

“It's nothing,” he laughed, waving you off, but internally feeling giddy when he saw your beaming face. You were so, so pretty.

“It is something to me,” you said softly and truthfully, staring into those puppy eyes of his.

“I like you,” Jake blurted out, as if the words were poured out before it even went through his mind. He did not expect himself to do this at all. Fuck.

Your wide eyes and gaped mouth only made him anxious, short silence filling the space between you two. Say something! Say something!

“I like you too, Jake,”

There it was.

“W–what?”

“Hm?” you tilted your head, looking back at Jake’s shock expression. “Did you expect a rejection instead?”

“Well—kinda—no—uh—” he was stuttering. The famous charmer Jake Sim was actually stuttering and losing his composure.

“I like you, very very much,” you said it again, each time making Jake’s heart flutter insanely.

“God, Y/N, you’re—” he exhaled, in disbelief that he had bagged his crush, “—everything, absolutely everything to me,”

Jake reached over for you and pulled you into his arms, squeezing you tight. The moment he let go, his eyes wouldn’t leave your face. He was taking every part of you in, gaze wandering every inch of your features as if he was memorising them.

“I—uhm—should leave, shouldn’t I?” you broke the momentary silence, noticing the time gradually slipping by. “As much as I want to stay, I don’t think my mum would approve,”

“O–oh, yeah! Sorry, I forgot,” he scratched the back of his neck awkwardly, managing a lopsided smile for you.

“It’s okay. Text me when you reach home safely, will you?”

“I will,” he squeezed your hand in reassurance. “You should get going now,”

“I probably should,” you nodded, holding onto your things tightly. “Bye, Jakey,”

“Bye,” he breathed out, staring at you with so much love that no one else could amount to. But then, he remembered something.

“Hey—” he went to stop you before you could exit his car, “so, summer’s coming up and I was wondering if you’d like to go somewhere with me,”

“Something like a date?”

“Very much so,”

“I’d love to,”

“Cool,”

“Cool,” you repeated, snickering a little at Jake’s reddening ears. “Make sure to tell me about your plans. Bye!” you snuck a quick peck on his cheek before exiting the car and slamming the door shut, turning around to wave him goodbye before disappearing behind your front door, all while the only thing Jake could do was stay in shock.

His fingers lingered on the spot your lips had made contact with, giddiness welled up in Jake’s stomach, butterflies swarming and heart going crazy. You just had that effect on him, always, undoubtedly.

It was just two lovers, sitting in the car, listening to ‘Blonde’ and falling for each other. Tension finally broken and true feelings revealed, Jake could die a happy man right there and then. You were his golden hour, his radiant beam in the night, the love of his life, and he wouldn’t trade anything for it.

yes, i will!

sorry this took so long, i wanted to wait until after the emmy's and i'm glad i did. lol.

i don't know these people and you (probably) don't either this is all what the cosmos say + personal observation.

so i'm not an astrologer, by any stretch. but i've been studying it for a few years, have run several dozen personal natal charts and compatibility synastry natal charts simply out of my own curiosity during that time to learn more about the practice, pattern recognition, etc.

while time of birth helps with accuracy. you can learn alot just by birth dates and locations of birth.

just off running those things in synastry, they had 14 positive, compatible and "easy" or easeful placement markers. which is quite high.

the highest amount of those markers i've seen is 18. the average is typically 6-10.

neither of their times of birth are online but ayo recently revealed that her big 3 is libra (air), aquarius (air) and sagittarius (fire). while his is aquarius(air), aries(fire) and his third isn't publicly known (though some think it's gemini(air)).

having her sag rising tells me where jeremy's specific placements fall in her houses. houses are like personal themes: work, passions, travel, spouses, relationships, setbacks, etc. planets are like characteristics or life themes: communication, art, beauty, limitation, structure, intuition, etc.

to start... he's an aquarius sun and she's an aquarius moon. this automatically gives them compatibility because the sun represents your framework as a person, while your moon represents your emotions and how you feel about yourself, the world, etc.

he understands her emotional landscape, she understands his personal framework.

they're both air signs but she's more air than he is. he has more fire and water in his chart.

in an interview for the golden globes last year she talked about how jeremy taught her how to be still. which is interesting because air signs are very heady, intellectual, busy and sometimes flighty people.

their other positive synastry placements are trines (same elements) of her sun and his mars, her venus and his sun, her pluto and his venus, their mercuries, her mercury and his mars, her venus and his mercury, their jupiters, her saturn and his pluto, etc, as well as sextiles (aspected 60 degrees apart) of her sun and his jupiter, her uranus and his venus, her neptune and his venus, her mars and his neptune, her saturn and his neptune, and her pluto and his saturn.

those are just the placements of the elements/planets that are very cohesive, complimentary, magnetic or agreeable that it shows.

for a deeper explanation, that first placement means: her sun (self expression, assertion, will) aspects his mars (energy, impulse, aggression) in a way that is positive, soothing, affirming and motivating.

i won't do every single placement because then this would be a billion words but you get the idea.

what i find most fascinating is their most difficult or challenging placement being her saturn (containment, structure, and limitation) and his venus (harmony, love, beauty, and art). both in pisces (water).

that's challenging because saturn makes you work for everything and teaches you a bunch of lessons along the way. but in the end, if you master the limits and structure, you are rewarded. while venus is loving and giving and indulgent and gorgeous from beginning to end.

venus also rules partnerships. romantic and otherwise.

to add to that, ayo has a bunch of libra placements and libra is ruled by venus. this absolutely tracks because ayo is incredibly venuian which can be attributed to how glamorous and alluring and charming and charismatic she is.

i actually knew she was venuian before i even ran her chart because it just pours off of her.

anyways... that particular placement caught my eye because jeremy's falls in ayo's fourth house of home, family and unconscious past. while jeremy's aries moon (his emotions) fall in her fifth house of social life, creativity, pleasure and dating.

so them literally calling each other family and working on a creative project about such things that is highly emotional, while being tied to partnerships and art, is quite literally written in their chart synastry.

that's all i'm going to say about their natal charts for now...

the rest of what i'm going to comment on is just what i've seen over the past week in regards to their dynamic.

i really do think, it is mostly a tightknit, platonic, encouraging and loving, working friendship and closeness that they share.

and the only reason i say mostly is because outside of the general appreciation and glee and pride and happiness in their interactions amongst these celebrations...

there are these moments that lead to the renaissance painting picture at the golden globes and the giggling tactile shuffle at last night's emmys where i observe them sort of so easily trickling into and immediately out of their own little worlds and i'm like... hmm.

it really wouldn't surprise me if one or both of them has ever had a crush on the other. i'm not saying anything has ever happened or they have even acknowledged it. because who's to say?? and it's obviously nobodies business but just witnessing this past week on top of all i've already seen in their charts... idk.

i saw someone pondering on whether their legitimately very close friendship is the reason they were both so anti-sydcarmy becoming romantic in the past which hmm, again idk.

what i will say is that the way ayo responds to any suggestive context or implication regarding jeremy is VASTLY different than she is or has been with other costars and friends in the industry.

like i said this girl is heavily venuian so she's going to flirt and charm and compliment others in a loving, overt way all the time. look at any of her interactions with rachel sennott, havana rose liu, natasha leone, ramy youssef, just to name a few off the top of my head.

the constant calvin klein stuff was incredibly over referenced and obnoxious after awhile but to think that reporters aren't gonna bring it up at all, especially after it had just gone viral two days prior is a stretch.

maybe as a little mention at the end of the interview is understandable. but blowing up the photos poster board size was, i agree, pretty ridiculous.

i love how she protected him from the overly specific body issue questions during one interview but i feel like the way she physically recoiled during another interview's mention of it felt like an overcorrection or even a tiny, in real time self boundary setting.

not for the interviewer but for herself.

because if it was a sexy campaign with any of the other people i just mentioned, i feel like she woulda been the first person to say they looked so good or they worked so hard or to praise them or whatever.

so it is fascinating to me that it's so different with what she's willing to be on record saying about jeremy.

like girl, i saw rami fake kiss you, natasha actually kiss you and you and havana and rachel flirted intermittently during bottoms press (which was v cute!)

so again the obvious difference makes me tilt my head a little bit.

also i don't recall ebon or lionel or matty or anybody else we've seen her around this past week have their hands on her waist so relentlessly. and i don't recall a smidge of abby or liza's foundation on jeremy's white jacket!

but what do i know?!?!!?

Sorry this took so long to post, but I had writers block and it took me a while to write.

Raph

Overprotective and clingy

He just wants to keep Mc safe and protected, and the best way to do that is to always be around them

He loves hugging Mc because if they’re in his arms, nothing will hurt them, so he cuddles with Mc a lot

As the oldest, he feels responsible for his family's safety, and he includes you in that, so he absolutely loves when you depend on him for anything, it doesn’t matter what it is, it could be just getting something off a shelf, or helping you train

Is very careful around you, because of all his spikes and that he’s just so big and could hurt you so very easily, and he’ll always try to keep you away from his spikes, just in case

Raph wishes he didn’t have to deal with being a Hamato, and fighting villains, and almost dying a lot, because you spend less time together because of it, and you’re in danger cause you’re friends with him

He’ll try and find the courage to confess first, but if you do, he won’t have any issues with it

If Raph confesses first, then it’ll be on accident, he just blurted it out while you two were cuddling or something

Loves to just be with you, you two don’t maven have to do anything, he just likes being around you

As much as he loves affection is private, he gets so embarrassed with PDA, and doesn’t like it that much

Manipulative, self-indulgent

Leo wants to be needed by Mc

He’s highly insecure about himself, and he wants to feel helpful to them because he associates his worth with what he can do for others

If Mc comes to Leo with their problems, Leo will feel so proud of himself, and he will do anything to help

Will try to isolate Mc from people, so he can be the only one they depend on

Very manipulative, he makes it seem like isolating you from everyone is a good thing because they “Never really cared about you” or “Are just using you” and other various excuses that he has come up with to keep you with him

The only people you’re allowed to communicate with other than him, are his brothers, Splinter, April, and Casey (he does not trust anyone else with you)

He gets jealous very easily and always wants attention and affirmation that he’s worth it, and that you love him

He seems very cocky and jokes around a lot, but he’s actually insecure and uses jokes to hide it

He’s very affectionate, and caring, but he can be overbearing a lot

Donnie

Impulsive, dependant

Donnie has definitely hacked into the street cameras near your house, and the school cameras, so he can always watch you

Most likely has at least two trackers on you, and checks them every few hours

He craves your affirmation, and does so many things to impress you, like inventing things that would interest you, or being reckless to protect you

If Mc compliments him, he’ll be so very happy, because like Leo, he’s very insecure

Will try and get you to spend as much time with him as possible, but he's not that jealous, cause he knows you can never replace him

He does worry about it, but he's convinced himself you love him back, because why else would you give him, and only him, compliments

Donnie will only make a move, and ask you out if his brothers or April pressure him enough, or if you give him hints that you like him, however, hes extremely dense and doesn’t get social cues, so even if you flirted with him everyday, he’d never notice it

If you confess first, then he’ll automatically accept, but he’ll definitely try to hide his obsession with you, even more than before

All he wants is a cute domestic relationship with you, but he’d never admit it

Mikey

Worshiping, obsessive

Sees Mc as some sort of god, that must be worshiped and praised, and will do absolutely anything for them

Is either very shy around you, or ecstatic to see you, but either way he loves being around you, and he sees it as a gift from you, that he gets to spend the most time with you

Has a closet in his room that’s just filled with stuff you gave him, stuff he stole from you, photos of you, or just stuff that reminds him of you

He does somewhat try to hide his obsession, but he wouldn’t really care that much if you found out, unless you left him for it

Mikey is extremely energetic with his fighting style as is, but if / when he fight people for you (They’re either trying to hurt you or they already have) he’s even more energetic, and much more violent

If it means protecting you, he’ll do anything, even if it's morally wrong or illegal

If you find out he’s obsessed and you do try and leave him he’ll be devastated, he sees you as a god like being, so clearly the only reason you left is because he’s not good enough for you, or he did something to offend you

He’ll try and get you back by any means necessary, even if you try and cut contact with him

But if you don’t then Mikey will be the happiest person ever, and will probably ask to marry you

;R1999 FORGET ME NOT - Yandere Headcanons

Compilation of headcanons about Forget Me Not as a Yandere.

I am doing well, ty for asking! and ty for the yandere request, I love writing this type of stuff <3

warning for yandere content and everything it entails. as well as self-harm and suicide themes

Forget Me Not as a Yandere would be pretty standard, I think─at least from the beginning.

I want to say that his lack of experience and proper, healthy examples when it comes to relationships and interpersonal skills is the basis of his Yandere profile: he's hindered by even more twisted impulses and intrusive thoughts, and thus would cling even HARDER to his self-imposed restraints because the stakes are higher now. The consequences would be even more severe should he lose control.

From an outsider's point of view, perhaps he appears to be meaner than usual, there's more bite behind his words as opposed to his elegant way of serving backhanded compliments. While those who spend more time with him would notice that he's unbelievably tense and high-strung. Essentially, it's the same fight between indulgence and restraint that I've been portraying in previous FMN posts, only ramped up to 200%.

The thing about Forget Me Not as a Yandere is that he would be extremely malleable and reactive to his darling. He's so very easy to influence, for better and for worse─the attention he pays to every single detail about you, your habits, your gestures and every little "tell", borders on predatory. It's very ironic, the way he can't understand his own feelings nor thoughts but he actually can read you crystal clear, that he may know you better than you know yourself. The dynamic of your relationship would be determined in your first interactions with him, and it AAAAAALL depends on you. But it's not as binary as who gets to be the "dominant" party and who gets to be the "submissive" party!

When I say Forget Me Not is malleable, I mean it.

In the context of entering a relationship with him, yes, there is the chance that, if you show any signs of "submission" (a more timid and meek personality) Forget Me Not will take advantage of it to the fullest─either through force, coercion or manipulation. We all know he's not below playing dirty and acting to get what he wants, after all. And there is also the chance that, if you show the opposite (a more stubborn and combative personality, to go against him whenever possible) that he will meet you with as much vitriol as you show him, or that he will become even more obsessed with making you submit to him, to blur both love and hatred together as mentioned before. You know, all these classics traits in Yandere content!

But the secret third option is that, if you play your cards right, he will be at your absolute mercy as well.

You can play the exact same mind games he plays and have him eating out of the palm of your hand. After all, he's just looking for ANY excuse and justification to unravel and let loose─you taking the reigns is just as good as him taking the lead. At the end of the day, as long as he gets your undivided attention, the dynamic doesn't matter. We're talking about a guy who pretends to be a poised gentleman and a functional member of society. A cowardly snake who doesn't want to face the consequences of his actions and would absolutely prefer to double down on his awful behaviour and then die at the end than think of apologizing to a single person.

This guy? As a Yandere? Yeah, he will adapt to you, but he will also allow you to manipulate him if you have the courage to reach out and tug at his leash, to take advantage of his obsession. I would even go as far to say that THIS outcome would be the best one for him, as it means that he doesn't have to take responsibility for his own life: that burden is now on you, you own him now. Good luck!

For this post, I'll talk about this secret third option since it's the most interesting in my opinion!

I'm not sure how to format my headcanons and thoughts properly, so I'll do something new and rate the general Yandere traits I think are relevant for him! Obsessiveness is one I specifically left out because it's the most basic requirement for Yandere characters, it feels unnecessary to discuss it. That shit must be cranked up to the highest setting or else there's no Yandere in the first place!

Possessive: ✦✦✦✧✧✧

In this context, he perceives his life to belong to you and only you─the nuance of the situation and whether it gets worse or a better for him are up to you, there's literally endless possibilities─and so it makes sense for him to be possessive, but not in the traditional sense that we're used to, so to say?

Because one of the important aspects of Forget Me Not as a character is the self-loathing. To me, this is one of the few core aspects that must remain in every AU or iteration for him to feel in-character. He's defined by revenge, self-loathing and a delusional mind. And it's this self-loathing that leads Forget Me Not into a very, very insecure mindset─because he's fully aware that YOU could aim for a better lifestyle, a better partner, someone who wants what's best for you instead of wanting to drag you down, deeper and deeper into the mess that is his life. Of course, this is something he won't allow now that you've so gracefully let him latch onto your side like a parasite, but it's a possibility that will continue to haunt him forever.

And so, he's possessive of your ownership and control over him, what he perceives to be the bond that ties you to him or viceversa. It's not quite "You're mine, and no one else's", it's more of a "I'm yours, and no one else's".

No matter what you do to him, he will remain by your side. The idea of you favouring someone else, or choosing to be with someone else and keep him by the sidelines, well, it will ruin him, of course! But Forget Me Not has been waiting for the other shoe to drop his whole life, and so NOTHING you can do can convince him to leave or do anything to "get back at you" in a direct way─aside from manipulating the world to leave you behind instead, perhaps. I like to think he'd still be a pretty pathetic, soggy and miserable guy. Desperate to prove to you that he's going to stay no MATTER what you do or say to him.

It's fine if you hate him, it's fine if you love him. But at the end of the day, you should at appreciate his loyalty and treasure him. Forget Me Not wants YOU to be the possessive one, to want him despite how awful he is, all while accepting the fact that you will never truly be his, because he doesn't deserve you.

Not to say that you keep the guy on a literal leash 24/7, of course! But to if you were to flirt with someone else in front of him, chances are Forget Me Not won't move a single finger. He would stay there, glaring daggers at the perpetrator, and then whine and guilt trip you into paying attention to him. But if someone were to flirt with him instead, he would be pretty ruthless in his rejection, proud and loudly declaring who he belongs to.

Perhaps it would be better to describe him as clingy instead? I think as indulgent as Forget Me Not can be when it comes to his vices, being by your side would be his utmost priority in this context. He won't follow you around like a lost puppy like other characters might do, but he would instead pull a few strings here and there behind the scenes to ensure you always happen to be within his line of sight.

Actually, now that I'm thinking, Forget Me Not as a Yandere would have EXTREME separation issues. This guy would ABSOLUTELY be the type to watch you sleep, because he just can't fathom the idea of being, what, 8 hours away from you? All of this being tied to his anxieties and codependency. I don't see him being very vocal about his love for you, or if he is then the sort of shit he spouts could easily be misinterpreted as thinly veiled threats, or just self-affirmations for himself.

Delusional: ✦✦✦✦✦✦

I'm giving him full points in this section because aside from the aforementioned anxieties, paranoia and self-loathing that gets him to be so, so very miserable, Forget Me Not is pretty much Delusional with a capital D.

Regardless of the path that led you to him and this situation, Forget Me Not would cling onto the fact that you currently own his heart, his mind and his entire life─this OBVIOUSLY means, in his book at least, that you care or love him just enough to take on such a burden. It's pretty much everything I discussed up until now mixed into one big cocktail of delusion and desperation. There's no takebacksies now!

Regardless of your treatment of him, Forget Me Not wholeheartedly believes that you love him to some degree, and that is more than enough for him to fuel his delusions, to overthink every action and every gesture as an act of love. He can still read you like an open book, he knows whenever you're nervous, whenever you're scared, whenever you get angry at him─how else can one explain such reactions, if love isn't at the center of it all? If you didn't love him, you would treat him with indifference, you would discard him like a broken toy!

Of course, if you WERE to treat him with indifference or attempt to discard him and get him out of your life, he would just find more and more ways to come back, to twist your words and their meaning to something that fits his narrative, to worm his way into your life the same way you've done, worming into his own heart. There's no point in trying to make sense of his logic, there is none, it's just the nonsensical, lovestruck fantasy he's built for himself.

Whether you kick him in the mouth or hold him close to you, the only truth Forget Me Not will stand for is your love for him.

But I think it would be fun if this is something he only made known to you? To the outside world, he makes them believe what they want to believe, make whatever assumption about your relationship with him─the muddier the truth becomes for the rest, the easier it is for him to trap and isolate you. Forget Me Not has a talent for acting, to play every unassuming role required for whatever schemes he's got under his sleeve, he might be a pathetic, desperate excuse of a man, kneeling and clinging onto you, but he still retains his cunning mind when it matters. And when you're not around to cloud his vision, he's dangerous.

No matter what others might think, Forget Me Not would find a way to profit─it doesn't matter if your best friend has an inkling about the true nature of your relationship, he will capitalize on it to ensure they remain far, far away from helping you escape. If your coworkers or classmates or what have you believe you two are an odd couple? Then that's what you two are! It's not like they know any better!

Forget Me Not knows more than anyone that there is no fighting the perception of others. There is a group of humans who simply decided he was the Devil himself, based entirely on his heritage rather than his actions. So he plays his part and lets their own biases do their thing, easy.

In that same vein, if you've indulged or pampered him a lot, then he would be more ready to believe anything you say. Sure, Forget Me Not knows that you may lie to him, you might've done that already many times before, but how can he say no when you've been so sweet to him lately?

Manipulative: ✦✦✦✦✦✦

You know what. Self-explanatory, I don't even have to ramble about this because I've talked about how manipulative Forget Me Not is in pretty much all of his posts. He rarely chooses direct confrontations,

I'm inclined to believe that he would only do so in extreme situations, and even so, he would only dirty his hands and confront whatever obstacles in his path─but confronting you? He's too much of a coward, he would never dream of confronting you without ensuring that you will deliver the answer and reaction he seeks, out of fear of hearing the truth from your own lips. I insist, he's not afraid of digging himself into his own grave with his schemes and manipulations if it means maintaining this whole status quo.

So, instead let me talk about how you can manipulate him instead, to level the field a little!

Physical touch in any way is the easiest way to force Forget Me Not to listen. From pulling on his hair to caressing his cheek─I don't think he will ever get used to having you touch him. Again, he thrives with whatever you throw at him, so it's up to you to choose.

I think lying to him and getting away with it is very difficult. In fact, if you think you've successfully lied to him, it's probably because he decided to let you believe he's none the wiser. so instead you would have to appeal to his emotional side. It's as easy as bringing up the whole ownership/possessive aspect, any reminder that he's all yours is enough to get Forget Me Not to comply after some minimum reluctance and pushback from him. It doesn't matter if you're guilt tripping him or threatening him, he thinks it's so romantic that you would go out of your way to reassure him of his position.

Sadism ✦✦✧✧✧✧ / Masochism ✦✦✦✦✧✧

Lately, I've been seeing Yandere content being slowly portrayed as a watered down version of what it used to be, like, to call a character who is just possessive a Yandere and that's it.

But I'm a fan of dark content, and to theorize about everything that comes with these themes─this includes physical harm, something that people are more sensitive towards, which is fair and I understand if this isn't everyone's cup of tea!

So far, most of the violence towards the reader has been emotional and psychological, with physical violence being directed instead to third parties. Here, there will be discussions of potential physical violence towards the reader and Forget Me Not.

That's why this section is at the bottom, so that you can opt out of it!

Something I forgot to bring up directly is the themes of idealization and religious parallels when it comes to the way Forget Me Not interprets his relationship with you.

Despite all these things, he still considers you way above him, a holy figure deserving of everything he can offer─so I don't think he would be physically abusive nor be threatening in this way either. He finds zero pleasure in the idea of physically harming you, and would very much prefer to chip away at your mental stability and vulnerability by hurting himself. Hell, he would prefer to have YOU hurt him instead, to have physical proof of your influence on his body. It aligns perfectly with his self-loathing. If you could scrape off all of his scales with your nails and replace when with the scars you leave him, he would be so, so very grateful.

Or to have you pluck his scales off one by one as punishment, he would absolutely love that. I think that, in those days in which he cannot tolerate nor deal with himself, when he cannot drown his sorrows in alcohol, he would become an active nuisance for the very small and off chance that you lash out at him. It's very cathartic to him.

This post focuses on a very specific outcome of the whole Yandere situation with Forget Me Not, but even so, I believe that every other version in every other situation would still have Forget Me Not being more of a masochist than a sadist. At least when talking about his darling. Given the type of person that he is and all, he would still prefer more mental games.

Chevaletta is peak nitpicky coworkers-to-lovers yuri- again, Crabaletta likes to tease and taunt Chevalmarin whom she considers to be an absolute stick in the mud. They often butt heads with regards to how to handle their respective jobs, as Chevalmarin bemoans Crabaletta's impulsive and occasionally chaotic behaviour. Despite this, Chevalmarin is very, very much attracted to Crabaletta but once again struggles to express her feelings about it- compared to Crabaletta who comes to very openly admit to at least her physical attraction to her.

Yashiro’s Cruel God part two

Intermission: romanticizing trauma or Lasciate ogne speranza, voi ch'intrate.

Most people looking at someone like Yashiro would feel deeply sorry and they would make a wish for him to find something or someone good in life. But when we start talking about healing we forget or we don’t know what trauma is. Manga can actually help us understand much better in what terms trauma really works: the word we use in several european languages comes from the Greek word for wound τραῦμα. I don’t have the same linguistics insights for the Japanese words - it would be great to have that insight if someone can provide it - but I have access to visual representations, because a number of mangaka associated traumatic events/memories with physical injuries, and the very severe ones with a lost limb, a lost eye. I have talked about this briefly here. The earliest in life or the most severe or prolonged or repeated traumatic events or experiences - the deeper the injury is registered, written in the brain. In the case of a lost limb, there isn’t much healing to do, that part of the body is forever changed, but there are other things to do: relearning how to do things in different ways according to the changes and forgetting about what you could do before or what other people can do with their limbs intact and fully functioning. Of course you can get a prosthetic, an aid, you work around the injured parts. But they ache, they give you phantom pain, they don’t grow back, and the healing is only possible in the parts that are left. Thinking about trauma like this is how we don’t romanticize it. I really think that Yoneda-san is intentionally making a point to show how difficult this process of adaptation is and also how common is for the people around Yashiro to not fully understand or care or know what can be done and what can’t be done. Only Yashiro knows himself that well, can properly determine his boundaries. First he went through a long phase of trial and error and he progressively learned to regulate his impulses quite successfully I must say, because we see that he was alone, lacking guidance, and he did end up naked in an alley, but at least he was sober and drug free. That is when Misumi came in and, although he had also his selfish motives and interests, he cared enough and offered Yashiro some guidance and most importantly conditions so that Yashiro needed to learn how to restrain himself and only indulge his sex drive more safely and more intentionally, setting new rules and adapting to a life full of other responsibilities and commitments. Remember that the premise here isn’t to assign blame or make moral judgments or excuses, but to understand how these characters grew, matured or changed or how they developed their expectations and interpretations of the world around them.

There were areas where Yashiro, as a full formed adult, still refused to be challenged, mostly because he had adapted and learned how to be self reliant, but unfortunately also because he interiorized an image of himself as someone unlovable, as a consequence of his parents’ behavior and later his unrequited feelings for Kageyama. Yashiro can absolutely find love. He fell in love twice, other people have fallen in love with him before, he doesn’t want to hurt others, he generally cares, he has gained much better social skills than those he had as a teenager, he is still an eccentric but not unreasonable or crazy. The problem is that he doesn’t know how to accept romantic love because he doesn’t recognize the feelings of being loved. The new experience is confusing, disorienting and scary, nauseating, because he lacks points of reference. He can’t go back to a foundation in love, an original self that is pure and secure and healthy, because his parents didn’t help him build it or deliberately destroyed and reshaped it with fear. Romanticism poses love as a good, natural, inevitable human thing, implies an ideal world where everyone has that pure healthy self and if pain and hardship are inevitable in life and each person is wounded, they must get to heal normally or simply by reaching back and restoring that pure and secure and healthy self as much as possible. If it was parental love/care and responsibility to offer the best condition for the self to be that way, then it will be the love/passion and commitment of a romantic partner to help healing the inevitability wounded self later in life.

I don’t think it was pure coincidence that in the same chapter you have these two different scenes not far from each other. Doumeki has been left behind and he is reminiscing about the events that brought him to this point. I am still focusing on Yashiro now, so that I haven’t properly talked about Doumeki, who has his own wounds within him, but as I mentioned last time, Doumeki experienced betrayal, especially regarding his father, after he already had a foundation in a family with a sufficient amount of care. Even if his parents weren’t especially doting or his experience was so much at odds with his sister’s experience inside the same family, he still developed normally, if not very reserved or able to express himself only through controlled physical aggression at kendo practice. We see in this memory another element, Doumeki playing normally with other boys and having fun. When the chapter goes on showing Yashiro in a flashback, we see him spying on Kurobane’s nephew on Misumi’s order. But we also see him as this uncomfortable nineteen years old who is an outsider and feels like one when confronted with normal children playing normal games.

I’d really like to write a proper analysis of the confrontation between Yashiro and Doumeki in the car in chapter 32, because I think that conversation is a very good example of two people coming from completely different places and confronting each other without reaching a solution that would work for both of them, because of lack of understanding and the extreme difficulty to communicate. We see very well here how the dynamics older/younger and realist/romantic play out. Scenes like these, where they talk, get to know each other, they are there and they were frequent even.

For now, I just want to underline another example of Yashiro looking at children with a foundation in love/safety from the outside and having to wrangle with that feeling of alienation. How can he take part in that same world as these people, how can he be part of the same world Doumeki lives in? Since he is going to meet Hirata and he doesn’t know what might happen there, his only choice is to leave Doumeki behind, but since he doesn’t obey anymore, Yashiro has to push him away and, if necessary, intentionally hurt him. Doumeki tries different strategies to stay, and Yashiro seems to relent on occasions, but when the time comes, he takes the gun and shoots.

Again a long post, and I don’t know how much I have accomplished with this. Between phone calls and my cat giving me the stinky eye because I am two minutes late to feed her, although I had mentally prepared to tackle the part about Doumeki, I recon I am going to leave this part as it is and continue the analysis later. Hope you don’t mind, I am not great at planning things out. So this is again to be continued…

When Granta wakes up, it’s to a splitting headache, a ring on his finger, and a frankly obscene amount of sunlight streaming in through the entirely uncovered windows.

“Ugh,” he says with deep disgust, rolling over and burying his face in Jaster's blanket-covered hip.

“Not the most resounding affirmation of our marriage,” Jaster says dryly. He’s sitting up, leaning back against the headboard with a pad up, and Granta opens one eye to squint up at him.

“I don’t think you should be taking that tone with me after I dug you out of a Sith temple,” he informs his new husband, but tips his head to look at what Jaster is doing. “Looking up solicitors to get us divorced?”

“Looking up planets without extradition treaties to the wider galaxy,” Jaster says without hesitation. “The moment Myles hears I married a crime lord, he’s going to mobilize all of Mandalorian space to hunt me down and then mount my head in his parlor.”

“I'm a businessman, officially,” Granta says lazily, though the part of their meeting where he killed a Sith ghost and rescued Jaster from an eternity of torment as a Sith soldier—not for altruistic reasons, of course, but because he’s been meaning to add the book Jaster had latched onto to his collection, and Jaster had tried to take his head off when he attempted to retrieve it—probably undercuts the assertion slightly.

Jaster hums, unimpressed but indulgent. “You're also officially my lord and master,” he says, apparently unbothered by this as he scans the pad. “So, husband? What dastardly commands do you have for your enthralled servant who exists at your pleasure?”

With a snort, Granta rolls over onto his back, raising a brow at Jaster. “You might be a thrall to my will,” he says dryly, “but if last night proves much, it’s that I have to beg you to do anything.”

“Mm, you do beg very well.” Jaster lowers the pad, sweeps a glance over him. He pauses, clearly debating something, and then says, “If we were to tell Myles that you have absolute control over my will—”

“I'm very fond of you,” Granta informs him. “Specifically of your cock. But even for you, dear husband, I'm not going to piss off the kriffing Mand'alor.”

“Coward,” Jaster tells him, but it’s amused more than aggrieved, and he leans down to kiss Granta lightly.

Granta smirks lazily, sliding a hand into Jaster's short hair. “Oh, absolutely. That’s the best part of being a criminal overlord. I don’t have to worry about moral uprightness or any principles beyond self-preservation. You should try it.”

“So you saving that Twi'lek girl who verbally abuses you and calls herself your bodyguard—”

“We’re not bringing Eldra into this.”

“Or your angry pet murderer—”

“Or Maul. Close your mouth.”

Jaster laughs at him instead of listening. But then, last night’s mad bit of impulse while thoroughly sloshed was largely focused on the hope that being married would make him listen slightly better than the dastardly Sith magic, so that’s not exactly a surprise.

• Will say something is “stupid” out of impulse… but then ask you to tell him more.

• He is very blunt with you, and honest about his feelings. Sometimes he words it wrong, but at least he will never lie.

• Big spoon, little spoon when ill or down.

• Will boop your nose unironically. He used to call it stupid, but started doing it to you, loving your reaction every time.

• Very understanding, just hard shelled unless he’s sure the two of you are alone.

• Likes to have his hair played with, it’s rather comforting for him.

• Has definitely flicked your forehead because you said something negative about yourself…

Dating Rafael is certainly an experience to say the least, if you meet him from all the way back in sinaloa then you have officially won this man's heart, because you have stuck with him through rough and thick, and you sure as hell have seen the easy and the ugly

I can absolutely imagine that after yall started dating you could completely stop calling him Rafael unless you were mad or being very serious

Because the only things you call him are "Rafa" or "Amor" and if for whatever reason you do call his full name this man will turn around so fast that it'll leave him with whiplash

You tend to follow him around and make sure he doesn't do anything too stupid so, you know those times during the series that he got himself in trouble because of impulsive and stupid decisions? yeah you would be there to not let it get too far

Another thing is after you start the business and yall are able to get that big ass house, do not be surprised if this man is spoiling you rotten

He knows how much both of yall struggled before and he appreciates how much your willing to put up with his antics since he knows he can be a handful even if he doesn't like to admit it

Now that he has the money and resources he wants you to live as comfortably as possible, because you have sacrificed a lot to be with him and not only with him but as his equal

I'm a full believer that this man is so soft around you, like I can fully imagine him coming home from working or dealing with some issues and coming home wanting to see you and just melt into your arms

But the thing is he can't find you..."Amor ya llege donde estas?" He walks around for a while checking where you could possibly be "Amorrr" he still can't find you

I can sort of see how he would think of the worse case scenario and just...panic

He could get scared, this is more self indulged than anything but in the middle of panicking I can see how he could feel how the house is too big and everything is echoing and he gets scared. Doesn't know how to react

Eventually with all the commotion you wake up and rush downstairs "Rafa?? Que te pasa amor estas bien? Ey mi amor que tienes?" You reach him and crouch down to his level just looking at him with the softes smile and the most gentle of looks, and when he sees you all that panic just washes away as he wraps his arms around you

His breathing is heavy and his hands are shaking he was scared to lose you, he knows his line of business is not safe and the last thing he wants is to see you hurt

Because trust me, if the day comes that someone chooses to try to hurt you...oh, ohh you better run b*tch

Because he is coming after then with everything he's got and when he finds them, he's gonna put a bullet through their skull "Hijo de tu pinché madre como chingados se te ocurrió poner tus sucias manos en mi novia eh? RESPONDEME HIJO DE LA CHINGADA" yeah it's not gonna be pretty because for you this man could bring hell upon anyone.

Roles Reversed

A HC I was discussing about the twins that I wanted to share here because it’s a very fun scenario I think about a lot.

“Do you think Siel would be similarly remorseless if the roles had been reversed (bc let's be real they were equally violent with each other) or?”

I do have a whole thought process on that actually.

Because I am of the opinion that portraying the twins as being exactly the same in every way is boring. I try to find an angle to go with to decide how they would behave in the same scenarios. One of the main themes I go with for them is that Bel is all about fun. He is impulsive, he likes his freedom, he kills for joy and pleasure and his own benefit. Rasiel on the other hand I see as more conforming, controlled, more familiar with imposed discipline. his violent behavior stems from his self importance and his vindictive nature. When he lashes out it's with a purpose.

So, I like to circle back to their demon and angel theme: Indulgence and retribution. Demons are about temptation and corruption, they are chaotic by nature and do what they do for the sake of self-gratification more than anything. Angels are idol like authority figures, they dole out punishment for those perceived as wicked and enforce the values they protect. And while I know all that is kind of convoluted for sake of a small headcanon, it helps me put the twins into an easier perspective to work with.

If you flip the roles and put Bel in the place of the one who was killed that day, Rasiel would not have the same reasons or the same reaction. Rasiel was not jealous of Bel, he looked down on him. Part of the joy Bel got out of killing Rasiel was the satisfaction of taking that power away away from him. He finally got to feel superior and now that feeling was absolute. But Bel ran because being a king was not the future he wanted, he was not satisfied with the strict life he lived and would have likely faced some heavy consequences for killing his brother if he stayed.

Rasiel would not have lashed out at Bel because of jealousy, he already knows he’s better. He lashes out because he hates that Bel is a nuisance, he’s in the way, and he’s a perceived hindrance to Siel’s succession. While I think Bel was more likely to make a fight physical, Siel was more likely to provoke one. Had Rasiel been the one to kill Bel you would get a completely different response. One I think would mostly be indifference. Bel fucked around and found out. The outcome was inevitable and deserved. However, Rasiel wants to be king more than anything. He doesn’t run away. He places all his worth and energy into the aspect of being royalty. It's the only thing he was born to be, and he wasn’t going to abandon that.

Unless his family was corrupt and resourceful enough to completely cover a scandal like that, Rasiel killing his brother would have made him a huge liability to his family, a dark stain on their reputation. While I don’t think he would have been outright jailed or killed with him being so young, he would definitely have faced some form of long-term consequence. Alongside being villified by his own family and the people of his country, all the responsibility and trust that had been put on him as their prince was broken. Nuisance or not, Bel had still been a prince, and killing anyone within the ruling monarchy was a gravely serious crime, even when it’s committed by one of their own, even if he’s a child. I think back to Fran’s comment about Bel being chased out of his country, and for Rasiel’s scenario I think that’s the more likely case.

So what does he feel when he thinks of Bel after the fact? He isn’t satisfied or proud, he’s angry. He lost everything he ever wanted because his stupid useless brother couldn’t just stay in line. Belphegor ruined everything. When he thinks back to their fight, all he feels is rage. Which falls into line with how I portray his “prince the ripper” state to be more bestial and vicious than Bels. He is not having fun.

But he NEEDS to be royalty. He doesn’t have any ambition or dreams beyond that because his future was set in stone neatly at his feet from the moment he was born. All he was ever raised to be was a prince. He doesn’t know how to be anything else.

I like the idea of him joining the Varia in place of Bel. Biding his time, dwelling on his grudges, and becoming stronger by directing all that building hatred onto his targets. Someday he will go back home and take his rightful place on the throne. He will be the king he deserves to be and no one is going to stand in his way ever again. The Varia are merely a necessary stepping stone to reach that goal. A mutually beneficial safe haven for him to exist in safety and secrecy. Providing him a conveniently cathartic outlet for his rage that allows him to hold onto some bit of sanity while in his exile.

Alternatively; his outcasted status suddenly makes him a far more appealing candidate to be a real funeral wreath instead of just a fake. Because now Byakuran has more leverage to keep him in line. He no longer has to just bank on Rasiel’s gratitude alone for helping him. The prince is no longer a wildcard with an abundance of resources and a monarchy at his back. Siel had everything. Now he has nothing. And Byakuran can get all of that back for him and more as long as he plays nice.

-Marcus is practically charismatic for a living, so he’s unsurprisingly very smooth and successful when it comes to flirting

-But he doesn’t actually do it all that much, he may toss the occasional wink to a group of fans, but he’s not a player, he’s too focused on the academy for that kind of self-indulgence and he finds it a bit distasteful too

-So when he starts showing you personal attention, you may be weary, but it is because he genuinely really likes and could see a future with you

-His methods are fairly traditional in a way that feels sweet and safe, it’s all modest romantic gestures and that easy charm of his, all the while he manages to remain confident without coming on too strong

Ben Hargreeves

-Ben’s done a fair bit of flirting (usually after a few drinks) but less out of actual interest, and more to project a certain kind of image, and for the ego-stroke of being wanted like that

-With you it comes out of genuine interest, but he’s confident after having had so many people throw themselves at him, so he will be quite stumped if you’re unimpressed

-If you were to flat-out reject him he’d move on, but if not than he’s up for the challenge, trying to adapt to you, it’s very hard for him to express his feelings, but if that’s what will win you over he will try a more sincere approach

-Once you do seem interested he is an absolute tease, he loves to fluster you, but he doesn’t leave you in suspense for long before making his move

Alphonso Hargreeves

-Because of the low self-esteem any kid of Reginald’s inevitably ends up with, any flirting Alphonso does is somewhat half-hearted, he always makes sure he has plausible deniability in case he gets cruelly rejected

-He also just doesn’t do a lot of flirting because he’s not really looking for a relationship, but when he develops a crush on you, he definitely wishes he had more experience wooing people

-He’s actually at his most charming when he’s not trying, when the two of you are just joking around, and he lets the quips get a bit teasing or suggestive he can fluster you, and he doesn’t even realise it

-In a few rare impulsive moments he gets pretty on the nose about how he feels, almost daring you to call him on it, to put him out of his misery one way or the other

Sloane Hargreeves

-Sloane’s crush on you is so obvious, that there’s really no point trying to be subtle when courting you, however she isn’t one to make an unwanted advance on someone so she remains very mindful of how you react to her

-She has some serious eye-flirting game, and she’s so vivacious and talkative around you, she treats you like the most interesting person she’s ever met, eager to pry out as many facts about you as she can

-She rarely makes any suggestive remarks at first, preferring to speak from the heart, talking about her most intimate beliefs and dreams and encouraging you to share yours as well

-But as the two of you become more official (which will probably be very quickly) she becomes very comfortable making shockingly brazen, racy comments towards you

Jayme Hargreeves

-More often than not Jayme prefers to get right to the point, boldly shooting her shot and not caring much if she gets turned down, but you’re the exception in that she really doesn’t want you to reject her, so she takes things a bit slower

-Jayme is so snarky that her efforts lead to a lot of unintentional negging, really a lot of her flirting comes out as her making fun of you, but there’s glimpses of affection throughout that she never shows others

-Some times her teasing is smoother than others, she can be so effortlessly alluring when she just acts on instinct

-She’s only so patient and once she’s tested the waters for like a week or two, she goes back to her blunt approach, flippantly asking you out all of a sudden
