just watched nct dream the movie: in a dream yesterday and it made me feel all different kinds of emotion throughout the movie like I'll be screaming because of their performance and then the next second I'd be crying when it comes to the interview part. Nonetheless, i really reallly loved the movie and I even made new friends even though I went alone to watch the movie. I also brought home a lot of freebies from the after party and even won an beatbox unsealed album, universe poster and unsealed album doyoung version.

#not even 10 minutes in the movie my throat already hurts from screaming #they showed the stronger performance and oh my I'm not the strong one for sure cus that shit really did a damage to my heart #i did scream while watching snd thankfully my seatmates are also loud af #the interview part where the transition to another member really made me lose my mind #especially renjun to mark's part and mark's to haechan #like the all of us inside the cinema lose our mind when that MarkHyuck part showed #also cried a lot #like not even at the sad part first cus even at their performance I teared up cus I'm just so proud of them #they also showed Jisung crying so of course I cried again #me and my seatmates were crying and i even gave them tissues hsuwhdushs

Note: I still can't believe Markhyuck couldn't say goodbye to Taeyong face to face I hate SM...

"Yah, how could you still be handsome? That's not fair."

"We can shave your head too Haechan."

"Stop fighting guys. Hyung, we will miss you so much. Take care, okay?"

"I know Markie. Now I gotta go. Don't worry I'm gonna be back without you noticing anything."

"I love you oppa. Please be careful."

"Aww, are you going to cry."

Taeyong couldn't hold his laugh at Yena's flicking the boy's head.

"Lee Donghyuck , don't tease her too much. I love you guys. Take care of each other."

"Ah! By the way check your bags. I left something for you."

They ended the facetime and looked at each other.

"If one of you cries I kill you."

"As if you won't."

Yena left the room without saying anything. She was curious about Taeyong's surprise. She seeked through her bag and found a paper that had her name on it.

"How didn't I see it before?"

She opened the letter and took a deep breath before starting to read it.

"Dear Yena,

I know this is a bit old fashioned but I figured writing a letter would fit the situation more. If you miss me just read these words over again. First of all I want to say that I'm so proud of us. Even if I'm the one going to military because I grew up, that also makes me realise that you grew up a lot too. I still remember when I first met you , or when we practiced as traniees , dreaming about the same things on our minds , when you came to me crying about debuting with us because you were too worried... But now look at you. A beautiful , succesful and confident woman doing great things. I'm so happy to be a viewer by your side through all the struggles and accomplishments. And I will be by your side no matter what and no matter where I am. When I'm back I want to see you stronger and as a person who did whatever they want. Don't hold anything back. Release your solo songs , meet lovers , travel many places , make different hobbies , but don't forget to listen yourself while doing all these too. Take your time and don't forget to rest. Yena folded the paper carefully and put it back inside the bag. She knew that this wouldn't be the first time of her reading it. And she was already glad for it. She wiped the tears under her eyes and messaged her leader on her phone.

"Wow you are really old now. A letter huh? Grandpa"

Actually i wanna make a comparison with markhuck nd markwoo.... In one of your post abt taedo u said it like taedo have really strong bond than markyuck... I was thinking from that moment.... Like I knw what markhyuck has is inevitable.... They are each other's pillars ... I mean they had to work with each other despite the dislikes they had from the beginning.... Not saying they hate each other.... Marhuck has really such a strong bond.... They have spent alot more time together than others.... U knw when u spent lot of time tgthr, u get to knw them , nd also u came to like them.... U develop a strong bond.... Haechan is clingy with almost everyone... Nd we knw he is such an attention seeker.... But this mark frnd is really a wiered guy for me... I think pre-teens can have a million of reasons to argue, so I won't touch on young MarkHyuk. Plus I haven't watched much content with them as kids and teens. I will compare MarkHyuk and MarkWoo now.

First of all, Koreans are community oriented, the group matters more than an individual. I think it helps unitication in situations where in other countries neither of the sides would agree to yield and compromise. And Mark is a pastor's child, a devoted Christian.

MarkHyuk grew up together, they are childhood friends, in 127 they are maknaes (which mattered in the beginning, Korean fads and slang move quickly, it's harder to find common language with hyungs, want to watch same movies and listen to the same artists, etc), and they share similar circumstances (2 teams). They have to rely on each other. MarkHyuk are also kind of rivals. At least Haechan feels motivated by Mark, he doesn't feel like he can do less or be left behind (he talked about how Mark became such a good rapper because he practiced writing daily with dedication, while Hyuk was slacking off as he couldn't bother as much, nowadays he says the double shift is almost impossible for him, but Mark does it, so he needs as well).

Haechan is mentally older than Mark, more jaded, pessimistic, he likes to annoy and to guide, correct (watch him during dance practices), things to be done (he helps TY and DY), he is a smartass ("oh, Canada"). While Mark has a problem with being treated as a child, as younger, less capable. He wants to lead, he wants his way, he is pretty dominant. He is not a born leader, though. Haechan tried to get rid of "hyung" honorific, but Mark didn't agree as it would mean even less subordination (by rules Hyuk have to listen to him as an appointed leader of Dream, and as an older person).

Jungwoo is also dominant. However, his dominance is of different kind. He wants things his way, doesn't like to be said no, it's hard to stop him, but his goal is attention, not "the alpha" spot or responsibility for himself. He is happy to get his way through means of pretending to be submissive, lets decide for him as he is not opionated about many things (like food).

Mark likes attention, so Woo's clinginess doesn't bother him. Woo listens, agrees, he is funny with his jokes and is not loud bts. He is much more comfortable to be around for Mark, than Hyuk. Jungwoo doesn't get offended easily, he doesn't fight to death for his opinions. doesn't argue much. Mark said about Yuta that he likes the Japanese, because it is comfortable around him.

Truth be told, Mark didn't experience Jungwoo full force, I think. Woo's negative sides. Doyoung is the one who took care of Jungwoo in the beginning. He is still the one Woo works the most with in 127. It is easier to stay on good terms, to like each other, when there are no circumstances that put your friendship to the test.

and more if I get the motivation! right now I find I have a lot of ideas, but no time or energy. on that note, I’m taking a break from tumblr starting today until may 24th! one of the reasons is that my best friend is coming to visit me from tomorrow until the 18th, and I want to be able to give her my full attention. social media in general is really distracting for me so I won’t really be checking my tumblr or responding to any messages 🫶🏻

in relation to that, our other best friend is in the process of packing and planning to move in with the friend that’s visiting; and she will be leaving my province shortly after bestie’s visit. I’m absolutely overjoyed for them, because we are the platonic love of each other’s lives, and they’re going to have so much fun together! on the other hand I’m very emotional, and I feel a lot of dread knowing once this visit is up both of my best friends are going to be far away from me. I’m def going to be making plans to see them once they’re settled, but I’m feeling very lonely. I’m trying to enjoy all the time we can spend together in person while it lasts. my birthday is also on the 17th, so I will be celebrating that with them and my other friends!

and finally, without giving too many details, I have a very close family member that has been battling an illness since last Christmas. I won’t go into it, but there are a lot of ups and downs and tbh mostly downs. watching them struggle has taken a huge toll on my mental health and as much as I try to pretend it’s not impacting me, I feel very hopeless. I’m really miserable actually lol at least a few times a week I cry in my boss’s office or while I’m on my breaks, and I often cry when I get home from work too. it has made me very sensitive to the topic of death, because there is a very low chance of recovery for this family member. my anxiety has worsened significantly since they got their diagnosis, and I’ve started to have serious mood swings. I think I just need a break from the internet and want to enjoy the bit of happiness I have right now.

so yeah, sorry to leave it on such a depressing note. sending everyone lots of love 💕

“What happened to you?” Renjun looks at Donghyuck’s weary expression. “Chenle kept beating me last night.” He replies while chuckling, he can’t let Renjun know the real reason. “Slept at two again. At this point, these eye bags are a part of me.”

The two see Jaemin approaching them. “Have you guys heard?”

“Heard what?” Renjun asks. “Mark’s older brother is throwing a party tonight.”

“Who?” Donghyuck tilts his head, he can’t tell if he’s never heard that name before or he’s just sleep deprived. “There’s someone named Mark in this class?” “Yes, Mark Lee. As in the one in the dean’s list. His older brother is a senior and he’s throwing a party at their house, are you guys going?”

Donghyuck is hesitant. Although he’s incredibly loud and sociable, big parties aren’t really his thing. Too many people to socialise with, it’ll just drain him. But gaming might not make him feel better considering he was doing it last night when his mom yelled at him. Perhaps he’ll need something stronger, something that will make him feel alive and forget all his problems.

“...Will there be alcohol?” “Of course there’s alcohol, Haechan.” “Then I’m in.”

The three of them get into Jaemin’s car and drive to the venue. They arrived and walked to the front door, which the host’s little brother answered. Mark was dressed in a light blue denim jacket with a striped shirt and black jeans, and politely welcomed them to the party. “It’s kinda loud here so if it gets too overwhelming, you guys can go outside.” Mark tells them while covering his ears. Donghyuck giggled at him. “Out of all of us, I think it’s you who needs to go outside the most.” After greeting each other, Mark goes to their front yard while Jaemin and Donghyuck search for the alcohol, Renjun trailing behind them.

More and more people arrive at the party, and the house becomes incredibly packed. Donghyuck stands by the fridge pouring soju into his cup when Renjun sits on the counter next to him. “See anyone you like?” Renjun gets the soju from him and pours some into his own cup. Donghyuck downs his drink. “Why? What would I do if I did?” “This house has a lot of spare rooms, I bet people are already in them.” Donghyuck punches Renjun’s shoulder while making a disgusted expression. “In someone else’s house?! Isn’t that kinda weird?” “People do it regardless.”

Donghyuck shudders at that thought. “I already told you, I’m not into that kind of stuff.” He takes the soju bottle back. “I’m here for this, and this alone.”

“What about Mark?” “...What do you mean?” “Were you flirting with him earlier?” “Flirting? I just said one thing and he laughed. You see, I’m just a naturally funny person. It’s not because I’m interested in him or in anybody.” He opens the fridge again to grab another bottle. “Who’s got time for that anyway?”

“A lot of people do, Haechan. But I understand that it's not your thing.” Renjun downs his drink and gets down from the counter. “I’ll go and make sure Jaemin isn’t making a fool of himself.”

Donghyuck always knew that he was like this since high school, he never understood the appeal of one night stands, hookups, or sex in general. Not that he’s shaming others for doing so, but it’s not something that appeals to him. He’s accepted that part of himself, but there’s still this feeling that he’s missing out somehow. Most, if not all, of his friends have had their first kisses and partners throughout college. He thinks about it often, but alas, no one has piqued his interest yet.

Once he loses sight of Renjun, a feeling of emptiness starts to settle in. The house may be full of people, but to Donghyuck, they were all faceless figures. Even if he has his friends, the feeling is still there. He could laugh so hard that day, and come back home with that same emptiness. He doesn’t understand it either. Is there something wrong with him? Is that why he’s not growing up like the rest of his friends? Is that why his mom berated him last night? Maybe there is something wrong with him, but what is it? How can he fix that? Or is it too late to do that?

“No. I shouldn’t be like this. Not here. Not when there’s so many people.” He thought to himself. The alcohol isn’t hitting him yet. He grabs another soju from the fridge, opens it, and drinks it straight from the bottle. I’m sure the host won’t mind if he takes it home. If alcohol can numb the emptiness in his heart just for tonight, then it’s better than feeling anything else. After a few minutes, it started to settle in. Donghyuck could barely hear the blasting music or even stand straight. He takes one last bottle from the fridge and clumsily moves past everyone. He goes out past the front yard and starts walking with no destination in mind. He keeps going, occasionally having to hold onto the street lamps to regain his balance. He just giggles to himself, he’s so drunk out of his senses that he doesn’t realise someone has been following him this whole time.

He turns back to see someone in a striped shirt frantically pacing after him. He seems to be yelling something, but Donghyuck couldn’t read his lips. “Oh Mark!” He recognises him in his drunken state. “What are you doing here? Actually I wanna ask you something! Who the hell is dean and why are you trying so hard to be on their list?!” While Donghyuck laughs at his lame joke, Mark keeps calling out to him, but he doesn’t hear. “I can’t hear you! It’s pointless Mark, just go back to the party! I’ll be okay!” It doesn’t take long for his vision to suddenly black out, and he feels his body hit the cold pavement.

Hi, i just wanted to say u made me upset this past 2 weeks.

For context, i am a literature major studying in Korea, so when I say i've been invested and reading 2-3 books/week. I MEAN IT. I only started reading fics 2015? When sm^t was still labeled lemon so point is, yes I read a lot a lot (books? about 400, fics? uncountable).

I used to read amazing fics (yoonmin) that has similar writing style as you! (Slow burn, the best kind of tropes)

I highly recommend you checking out:

The Songbird and the Sea by Misstermaia

Nyctophile by yururin

Both are yoonmin (BTS) but i highly suggest at least checking it out as your writing style suits fantasy the best like said authors. Anyways, I eventually dropped the kpop world (due to uni) around 2019-2020? then started stanning NCT, which made me know markhyuck and your fics.

I have to say, You have an amazing writing style and talent. I love the way you write! So refreshing and detailed, things you wont expect. Beautiful is truly an understatement. But due to one and other things (my life falling off, my independence, which took a toll on me and I started to not enjoy my hobbies and instead focused on putting food on the table).

This year as I was doing my internship out of Korea, in 2023, out of the blue I jumped and had the sudden urge to read honeymouthed and wildflowers. All because there was a cafe which had "Honey" & "Elderflowers" written in the number #6 of their menu. I dug up my old google drive and there it was. The book (ur fic) I devastated-ly dropped as I've had to do life— as everyone does. I read it from the beginning. Even if I used to read it 10-20? times from the start as I wait for the updates haha. When I reached the final page I saved it (it was page 339) I went to ur AO3 to find any updates, but it was gone. I searched on twt u posted it but it wasn't there on AO3. It broke my heart for a few weeks (quite frankly). It was like dejavu. the As my favorite author (The yoonmin one) quite literally stopped posting on ao3 which, I was broken as well (update; she still opened a patreon/kofi account in the end! hehe).

When I found out in ko-fi it was still there but it is inaccessible for un-logged in users. I immediately made one and is now pending for the invitation for the ao3 (i lost my old account :'()

aah the doyoung fic, I don't want to spoil too much but it's a reunited lovers au and enemies/exes to lovers (?). the backstory is that doyoung betrayed yn and her life was ruined bc of him, but she returns five years later for her best friends wedding and well... he still loves her but she doesn't know if she should forgive and forget, or expose him and ruin his life. and did I mention the best friend is his sister?? so yeah, lots of drama!!! I really need to get to writing so I can finish it!!!!

tbh all of nct dream is stealing my heart rn.. for a minute its jaemin, then jeno, THEN JISUNG, THEN CHENLE.. YOU GET IT. also, i read a werewolf!jisung oneshot by @loudstan and it was AMAZING i just keep going back to it.. AND YOUR 00LINE FIC TOO 😭 im afraid ill never be able to get out of this nct rabbit hole. idk how you always think of these amazing plots paired w the amazing smut 🤚🏻im so bad at writing 3somes tho.. hopefully it turns out as filthy as i want it to be. and omg the doyoung fic.. day 25/365 of haechan (if you can't tell i now have a record in my phone to track it now and the only thing i need to do is update after each day!)

my favourite moments of our fullsun and the dreamies <3 i lied, the dreamies are his karma. there may also be a stray 'renmin' because my notes on my laptop hasn't picked up on the fact that i am not saying 'renmin' or 'rennin'.

(No Mark for this since I’ve already done him <3 but I think I’ve established they’re one of my favourite pairs and I can’t imagine one without the other OHH but the video that’s titled ‘top 21 markhyuck moments of 2021’ has some of my favourite moments as a little extra.)

renjun - like I know haechan is in love with renjun and I really don’t blame him. But renjun lights up around haechan and is always interested in what he has to say. And haechan is the first to tease him and he’s always a slither away from death by renjun. I also like how renjun turns to red hot fury and tries to beat haechan up - I find it hilarious. Also the ‘he’s the cutest when he’s angry’ comment about renjun and the way haechan rarks renjun up reminds me of me and my mum. when we hug we put everything into it to make it so uncomfortable for the other person it’s funny. That ridin’ clip for sure. Changed my life. Makes me laugh no matter how many times I watch it.

jeno - I’m getting a lot fonder of this pair lately. A relationship that lies on jokes but you can tell the other really cares for them but it’s covered by a lot of humour and roasting the shit out of each other at any given point. But my favourite clip - it’s very recent is when mark accidentally hits him with a ball and haechan, chenle and mark all flock to him to hug him. Honestly surprised jeno hasn’t turned to violence like renjun has. I feel it’s a very tsundere type of love on both sides and I love that for them. the whole ‘who is the hung between u two?’ And both of them having different answers. god. And the whole ‘supposed to call me after his schedule and HE STILL HASN’T CALLED ME’

jaemin - look, haechan the absolute cHEEK he has to call someone else weird but jaemin is very weird and they’re both very weird. But oddly together they’re quite normal? And idk why it’s only a reflection I’ve made just now. I love the two together. When they teamed up in Weekly Idol and whenever they laugh at each other’s jokes I feel very warm. Like I know this isn’t like a ‘jaemin hyuck exclusive moment’ but when renjun and haechan are mucking around and jaemin can’t focus because of it and he just…rolls his eyes and pauses and that gets me. It gets me good. AHH how could I forget the little smooch hahaha <3 bless.

chenle - okay out of chenji, it’s obvious at first glance that chenle is the enabler and when haechan and chenle team up? Ooooh class. I love when Chenle and Haechan are near crying when they laugh - especially together and they set each other off often. But Chenle laughs the loudest during haechan’s jokes and you know how there’s the whole nct dream are split between team chenle and jisung? haechan is on chenle’s for sure. I think they just naturally gravitate towards each other and the whole 7illin trip <3 aww. But my favourite is when they played table tennis together on Weekly Idol.

jisung - and out of chenji and nct dream as a whole we have our nagger <3 You can tell that Jisung believes that Haechan needs some tough love, it’s making me giggle just thinking about it. Haechan teasing Jisung isn’t anything new - especially when it comes to Jisung crying <3 and I really like it when jisung enjoys haechan’s antics. His whole ‘rooftop fight’ and the ‘inauguration ceremony’ are masterpieces. Moments I like as well is when Jisung cannot not be bothered with the live in Tokyo and Haechan passive aggressively hugs him with a ‘hyung loves you’ AND the whole ‘you showed off well’ moment in Boom and hugs him excessively and jisung just takes it.

aw but i saw a clip of all the fansigns and it just made me tear up a little.
