more toned down, i think! less "i literally cannot imagine a life without you" and more "two stray cats that bonded and are not inseparable". i imagine that Frank & Julie were planning on living in the same town, but they wanted their own living spaces to do with as they please without having to compromise. i like to think that they got neighboring properties - or do they live in the same apartment / condo building? still thinking about everyone's living spaces...

and Yes! i like to adhere to canon as much as possible with my aus. i imagine that when they met in school Julie may have developed a crush on Frank, but has long since grown out of it. and she learned pretty quick that uh... hon... Frank's a lover of men <3

i had a lot of free time today so i spent like three hours documenting as many plants as i could identify in the 300-foot long parking strip i use as a garden. the amount of biodiversity in such a small place is WILD

#i had trouble identifying any of the grasses but there's at least 3 different species #there's two or three different species of dandelion type flowers #a teeny tiny white flower that's just about to bloom #a whole bunch of red deadnettles #some plants which i'm pretty sure are chickweed and nipplewort (heh) #and a single yellowrocket #the embankment across the sidewalk has english ivy himalayan blackberries and another flowering ground cover fighting for dominance #plus a few grape hyacinths being choked by grass #i saw so many finches and wrens and crows and jays and flickers #and so many insects! #aaaaa i love my garden

a couple (3, to be precise) of my rosemary and lavender seeds have germinated and they are. SO TINY. I'm in love.

#I did find out after sowing them that rosemary tends to not grow true to type so uhhhh we'll see how that goes lmao #I might just buy a rosemary plant or two anyway #I need to stop by the garden store for some more sticks for my sweet pea's so I might just get some rosemary while I'm at it #also we're having the first real summery day of the year (24 degrees!! sunight and blue-ish skies!!!!!) #and I'm having crackers with cream cheese and strawberry plus a cupe of chamomile tea with honey for breakfast #and I'm watching all my seedlings and the trees outside #and my neighbours are quiet rigt now and just. aaaahhhh this is the kind of life I really love

#my ramblings #anyway I’m helping her fold dumplings for sister and dad to eat while she’s in cn to take care of grandpa #she has to. wrestle a lot with healthcare. not really looking good. #sister’s gonna order groceries so I don’t have to spread myself too thin but I’m still gonna help out of course #but anyway I think gift giving is a skill that can be trained #but part of gift giving as a skill is knowing how to give gifts to folks when you don’t necessarily know what they want #for a high school pal I don’t know the specifics of fandom or what she already has #so I gave her socks and was like: now that you are an adult you get adult gifts. #and she seemed to get a kick out of that #but in general it’s helpful to 1) keep in mind if someone wants something specific #2) keep in mind if there’s a type of theme they enjoy (e.g. space or fish or cats) #3) keep in mind if there’s a type of object they collect (like mugs or magnets or merch) #3.1) find a way to keep track of their collection and check on it (ask them if they’ve gotten anything new/are planning to) #4) gifts can still be food or experiences it doesn’t have to be limited to An Object They Keep #(one of the ‘gifts’ I was planning for mom was ‘let’s go to this scenic garden for an hour or two and I’ll take pics of you however long yo #want and I won’t complain at all) #(mom loves getting her photo taken and posting her outfits to wechat)

Not a full/official list but yes, Bloodborne character flowers. I was going to go into specific colours and a description of why I chose them but I’m tired right now (wanted to answer this as fast as possible though). I’ll probably update this with a proper explanation (and more characters) tomorrow :)
