i would like a rachel fawcett visits button house episode but in the final season because i feel like her visiting & the unhinged shenanigans that would take place will be the reason julian receives his blessed suckings off & i do not want to lose the awful bastard with no pants until the last season.

". . .ow. . ."
Hand arises to tug at the torn material of mask, swift to remove it off her features where she can just feel the chill in the air hit some of the still dampened crimson. Her steps nearly stumble as she moves forward, dark brows furrowing at the unfamiliar sights around her. One moment, she was following some strange version of Vulture that didn't quite seem to be from her own world, and the next. . .wherever this was.
"esto es genial. . ."

⤷ 『 ❛ we won’t forget each other, right? ❜ 』
Aether smiled softly at the other's gentle and heartfelt question. Thoma had been a very kind and welcoming person right from the very first time Aether had set foot in Inazuma and met him. They had ended up going through quite a bit together, and Aether had even ended up staging a bit of a revolution against the Shogun on his path to an audience with her.
Answers had not been forthcoming in the end, but he'd made great friends along the way that he knew he could rely on if he truly needed them. He generally endeavoured not to require said help, but he knew he could ask for it without consequence and that was what mattered in the end.
Once he was finally ready to depart for his next destination, the rainforest of Sumeru, he found himself eager to leave the cluster of islands behind, but still a little reluctant to part with the friends he'd made. It was always like this, but nevertheless the experience was a struggle. In some places more than other, even.
Mondstadt felt like the home he could return to when he grew weary of the journey and where close-knit friends were eagerly awaiting his return.
Liyue was more calm in that regard, a place he truly enjoyed visiting for its soothing atmosphere and solid environment. It was the place to go when everything got just a little too much, to get lost up high in the mountains with the fresh air and scent of xinqing to meet him, and the whispers of old friends on the wind. Should he feel more social, he could descend into the streets and be met with a flurry of activity that proposed a thorough but enjoyable contrast.
Inazuma in turn was a place that had not brought him much joy. His initial prohibition of moving on to the mainland, the thunderous climate both literal and political, the way the environment itself had seemed pitted against him and the majority of the people not being very welcoming…
That had changed over time after he had successfully changed the Shogun's mind together with Yae Miko and everyone's hopes and dreams for a brighter tomorrow. Nevertheless, there was a much smaller group of people there that he felt comfortable with. It was more intimate in a way, and also precious in a different sense as well, as though the few friendships he had amassed here shone that much brighter in the face of the overall lack of engagement from the populace as a whole.
Who knew what kind of encounters Sumeru would have in store for him, and whether or not he would finally gain at least some hint that could carry his journey onwards for once. With rejection after rejection from the Archons who could or would not provide him with the information he so desperately needed, he was beginning to almost feel aimless. It wasn't that his goals were any less tangible, but that the lack of progress was making it so much harder to believe that the answers truly would come eventually…
Still, there was no use in worrying over it all so soon before his departure, and certainly not when his friends had decided to throw him something of a farewell celebration. To brood when they had all put in such efforts for him wouldn't be very grateful of him.
So finally he set his darker thoughts aside to offer Thoma a smile over his glass, touched by the other's words and attachment to him when they'd truly not spent all that much time together in the end. Nevertheless, Thoma truly was extremely likeable and Aether was pleased to have met him. Indeed, the other truly does have quite a Mondstadter's personality when you think about it.
"Of course not. No matter where I go or how long I'll be gone, I won't forget you." If anything, Thoma made it sound like he'd be going away for good, the thought eliciting a small chuckle. "I promise I'll come visit when I get the chance, okay?"

Everytime i see a new chapter of TIP being posted I can FEEL the end coming and I panic a little because I don't think I'm ready--... But I'm aware that change is necessary. All books have a last page, no matter how sad it makes us feel, it doesn't mean that we cannot read all your Fae Tales Works again and again and feel exactly like the first time... Or maybe we feel different than the first time and we take in the entity of our own growth through your marvelous works. I'm not ready, yet I am.
This is such a generous and lovely ask, thank you so much anon!
What I'm really hoping is that I can bring the similar kinds of feelings in new stories, and new characters, though it's terrifying because it takes time to build up characters and our attachment to them for sure.
I am kind of scared of ending the Fae Tales canon honestly, for like, some insecurity reasons (what if everything I write after is terrible, lmao), but also because those guys have been my companions for nearly a decade. There's always been a little Augus and a little Gwyn in my head, and I've always been thinking about what they've been doing, whether it's on the 1.5 hour drive to one of my therapists, or in the MRI machine while they're checking out my tumours, or while I've been walking in general. And then later they were joined with a little Mosk and a little Eran.
And I know they'll still be around, and they'll be joined by other characters (there's already a little Mallory, a little Lewis, lol, and a little Efnisien, and a little Dr Gary), but still, there's no characters I've spent nearly 10 years with yet like I have with Gwyn and Augus, and so...it just makes it different.
Really humbled by the folks coming through with me to the end though, and I really hope I can do justice to the world/universe/characters with the end of the story. <3333

“I’m worried that the closer we get, the easier it will be for us to destroy each other,” Seb frowns, absentmindedly tapping his fingers on the metal railing. “And frankly, I’m not quite sure he deserves that to happen.”
“You’re thinking too hard,” Kimi tells him. “Anybody could see that you’re overthinking this.”
Seb bitterly laughs as Kimi observes him with a measured expression — a slight hint of concern hidden away in those gray eyes of his.
Maybe Kimi’s right, maybe he is overthinking things — but it still doesn’t change the fact that he and Charles are meant to eventually clash and shatter, the very nature of their existences confining them to that fate. They’re playing a dangerous game right now, drawing each other in — willingly or unwillingly, careening towards an unavoidable collision course.

dialogue: kissing || accepting
@yetfierce said: “then shut up and kiss me already.” | Stephen Strange
“You can’t do that! You can’t just rush into battle without a plan! What if I hadn’t shown up? You could have gotten seriously hurt or worse killed!” Stephen yelled at Val unable to hold back the fear he had felt, was still feeling, at the thought of losing her. It was pure luck he had shown up and stopped the pile of rubble from landing on her. He couldn’t count on that again. “You can’t act like you’re indestructible. You have to think! I can’t lose-”
“then shut up and kiss me already.”
Her words cut him off. He was too stunned by them to even remember his train of thought. He wasn’t used to being cut off. The nurses and most of the doctors went along with whatever he said including when he lectured someone about their mistakes, always their mistakes never his. The exception had been Christine, she had never been afraid to speak her mind. Tell him exactly how she felt. It seemed like he had found someone else willing to do that. He ignored the voice in his head telling him this was a bad idea. He placed his hands on her cheeks before pulling her in for a kiss, consequences be damned.

Note: If aren't going to participate in Pro-Palestine action, do not mention it!
For accountability:
This is how Magz plans support Palestine during Global Strike January 21 to 28.
Am going to put more Palestine posts in queue, with more focus.
Am going to not spend on anything during week, nor go out (rare anyway).
Am going to not publicly post our arts and promos (of art freelance work).
Am going to read and learn more on Palestine - as there still more can learn.
Am going to be even more visibly pro-Palestinian.
Am going to continue keeping up with what's happening in Gaza.
Am going to continue boycotting products and services on BDS' Boycott List, including not giving free social media promo and good impressions.
Am going to try learn Palestinian Arabic.
Am going to describe, transcribe, and alt text posts on Palestine when possible - to make it more accessible (Am Multiply Disabled).
Am going to share ways to help.
One of shorter checklist options:
Longer checklists:
But really just do *anything* that support and raise awareness *more*, learn, or contribute. Whatever can manage do n able sustain.
If wasn't able to prepare in time, can still participate for rest of week. Is not "all or nothing", don't have to give up. Keep Palestine in your thoughts and actions !

tone indicators
I reblogged this post without adding any commentary bc queue and not a lot of computer time lately but like okay here's the thing about tone indicators:
they're yet another in-group set of coded speech. like an inside joke, or a meme, or a conlang. if you are in a group that uses them, they're great and perfectly comprehensible.
but if you don't happen to have come from inside a group that uses them, they are exactly as exclusionary as any other heavy jargon or inside joke or acronym. I mean have you ever listened to soldiers talk? The US Army communicates in heavily jargon-ified speech, liberally laden with acronyms, so much so that it's a self-referential joke to make up obscene or deliberately-obfuscated ones to slip into official reports since the sorts of people who'd kick up a fuss about obscene language won't understand them.
It is exactly the same thing. Except that's exclusionary on purpose, and tone indicators are exclusionary in effect but tout themselves as inclusionary.
So if I, an outsider to this, am reading along, and after a sentence, there's a / and then between one and three letters, that is not enough information for me to use to look it up.
This is absolutely inaccessible if you are not alreadhy in the group that uses it.
I wouldn't mind if the people who used them were just like 'oh ha sorry jargon, i'll try to explain if it's not clear, sorry i forget you guys don't know them' just like any other inside joke or meme or whatever.
But I was in a discussion with someone on a Discord and when I was puzzled about them including these weird slash-acronyms after their statements they were like oh how nice for you that you're not neurodivergent and don't need to use these.
Uh no. The opposite actually. I'm the kind of neurodivergent that needs context. I handle being excluded from conversations very poorly. And that's where I get pissed off, that people seem to be holding these up as the new be-all end-all of Finally Solving The Problem Of Ambiguous Tones In Social Interaction. The hell you are, kids. They're just another layer, and I'd say the worst one yet, out of many many many attempts to solve this exact problem. They are fundamentally inaccessible. Don't mistake the fact that you learned them (somewhere, in some context inaccessible to me) for them actually being universal.
Considered against the many different solutions that have been offered since text-only speech was invented, tone indicators stack up as among the very least-accessible of the lot, since they contain so little context in and of themselves-- if a key is not provided then they're totally inaccessible, and are exceptionally difficult for non-native English speakers, and in general require so much memorization or cross-referencing as to be prohibitively hostile to outsiders.
And that's fine, if what your'e doing is just meant for talking to your friends. But don't come into my conversations and berate me for not having memorized whatever incomprehensible set of acronyms you've newly-decided are the new universal truth. And what drives me the most insane is how many of these acronyms someone has now decided to assign a whole new meaning to are acronyms that are well-known and already existed and are in heavy use. So if you try to look them up guess what you get! is it gonna be the newly-created version or the one that's been in use for fifty to seventy-five years??
For one, P.O.S. has had a specific meaning in written and spoken English for a really damn long time and if you call me a piece of shit in the actual language I speak I am absolutely not going to interpret your conlang as having intended something nice. (YES REALLY THEY'RE USING THAT ONE TRY TO GUESS WHAT IT MEANS. NO. NO! I know. Fuck! That's wild. Absolutely the fuck not.)
