ok sorry i have to ask what’s with everyone saying gabriel the villain from malignant 2021 is trans. is he just that based

its hard to explain what exactly gabriel is but hes like. a conjoined twin brother / evil growth? on the female protagonist's brain and he only exists by possessing her body so since he's a male character in a female body hes kind of sort of (but also kind of not) canon trans

#he never had his own male body he was just an evil face and arms on her body until they took his arms away and hid him in her skull. #so now they both just share her regular body #so since hes a man but only ever has had a female body hes kind of. trans. but its not addressed by the movie #like they dont acknowledge the gender difference at all hes just her evil brother. so its not 100% canon but also #theres no non-trans way to read what IS canon so it kind of is true. at the same time #asks #im sorry if this sounds like nonsense i tried to explain it but the movie is not interested it making sense of itself #basically there is no way for gabriel to be cis he never has existed in a cis man body #he wasnt assigned male theres no way to do that hes just seen as a man bc he self-identifies that way #and i feel like the way im describing it sounds transphobic but its not there is 0 drama about him being a man #its just like. incidental. like when people make identical twins that are different genders bc they didnt think abt it #hes like. that type of trans subtext except WAY MORE TRANS because he explicitly has the same body as a cis woman.

help it’s happening again (becoming obsessed w side characters for my story and therefore going off on a tangent about them that has no relevance to the plot)

anyway my chosen-one magic-girl corruption arc villain (protagonist?) now has 12 year old twin siblings who she hasn’t seen in years bc she was taken away from her family for training

and i have a lot of emotions about vex and vax rn so yeah

there’s a girl twin and a boy twin and i could just say they’re fraternal twins HOWEVER it would be so much fun for them to be identical. my other main character is nonbinary. let’s add some more transness here

#anyway they are relevant to the story bc the non-evil main character (nonbinary one) has a little sister #and their families are friends and have a mutual childcare arangement #so kit’s gonna be going to the twin’s house after work to pick up their sister #the girl twin is v intense and scares the sister a bit #the boy twin is a nerd #they are best friends and fight constantly and defend each other fiercely #my ocs #the fallen angel
