love that we’re getting fu yao and nan feng described as “two little pretty boys” amazing and completely as expected also everything theyve done is 10000% funnier now

the visual of this fight with the villagers inside the ruoye loop and all the brides is pretty sick. also xi lian on the spirit phone to ling wen while the villagers cheer is very funny

As for the matter between General Pei and Xuan Ji, unless one was directly involved, it was better not to comment on who was right or wrong. i read the second half of chapter 12 on my phone so i didnt get any quotes but hua cheng rise to infamy funny. xie lian listening to it all and just going “hehe silver butterflies pretty” is also funny

bmc broadway album

more than survive

this song doesn’t have a lot of major changes to it, but i still love hearing the differences from the original! the biggest change is the inclusion of more dialogue (and some of the dialogue changes), as well as some of the tune to jeremy’s “christiiiiine”. also, will roland s h i n e s in this. i’ve seen him live a lot, but this song is already allowing me to appreciate his vocal so much more

i love play rehearsal

stephanie sounds so cute!! it sounds even better than the original recording. not only is the album just clearer in general, but she sounds so beautiful and passionate. i love the dialogue and how she pulls the little voices like she does during the show. the only real change is the line cut of “i thought i was very vulnerable” and the inclusion of her “a part of me also wants to do this” *makes weird noises*

i lOVE CHRISTINE OKAY

do you know how happy i am that this made it onto the album??? i’m sobbing rn. will’s voice is so beautiful and it was a crime that this wasn’t on the original album. also, including the music to the bathroom scene??? Lovely

the squip song

gerard is so amazing! i love how much emotional inflection he puts into this song and i love the music, which sounds different to me. the line cut throws me off a bit and i kind of wish they hadn’t cut the little wrap from off-broadway, but still!! this is wonderful.

two-player game

george doing his lil weird “the cafetorium”!! my heart!!! ughh will and george’s voices sound so nice together! and the little video game music added is so good and atmospheric. surprised they didn’t add more dialogue, considering how much was added for other songs.

the squip enters

this is somehow even funnier than the original khgfhhkjghf also fiNALLY GIVING ME MY JASON TAM!SQUIP. also the fact that they included the ending dialogue!!!!! nice!!! “yoU LOOK LIKE KEANU REEVES” (tho tbh half the song is now dialogue lmao)

be more chill part one

the new intro!!! god I LOVE IT “come on, boo, you know that you make everyone around you nauseated” again with a lot of newly included dialogue!! i think it will help newcomers understand the story better, but it’s just strange at first.

honestly probably one of the only parts that hasn’t changed except for lauren’s riff on pinkberry at the end, but i’m so gay for brooke that i’m loving it. ALSO HER LITTLE GIGGLE AND AU REVOIR AT THE END??/ JUST KILL ME

jason tam’s voice is beautiful and i’m so blessed to be able to listen to it whenever i want now! also the theremin mimicking the “popular... incredible” is iNCREDIBLE and will’s little giggle just killed me

this isn’t really different from the off-broadway version very much, but i love it a lot. will puts so much emotion into his singing and the song is such a win. BUT THANK YOUR FOR FINALLY INCLUDING THE OPTIC NERVE-BLOCKING PART

like, everyone’s voices sound so nice??? i’m dead??? this feels much more like a party song than it did in the original album and i love it!! wow they cut all that dialogue, huh??? that transition to “crank the bass” was a lil weird tbh. the instrumental parts are so good tho!!

the intro dialogue!!! i think it’s interesting that they included a lot more of the dialogue but cut out the line that actually makes chloe want to kiss jeremy??? the singing was really good, but the song was half dialogue and i don’t really think that was necessary

george’s voice is beautiful, as always!! there really isn’t any changes, but i love being able to listen to slightly different versions of this song lol

TIFFANY MANN CAN SLAUGHTER ME I LOVE HER!!! her riffs are killer! and katlyn’s voice on “rich set a fire and burned down jake’s house” kills meeee. brooke’s scream!!! my fave part of the song and i’m so glad it’s prominent now!

this is still such a fun song!! it’s never been my fave to listen to, but it’s fun! new dialogue replaces the old, but i like the new dialogue better honestly

YAAAAASSSSSS pitiful children has always been so good but this new intro!! and jason tam!!! also yes to the part with jenna’s dialogue lmaooo and her high note!!!! it literally gets applause every night and it’s so deserved

the play

hmm idk i can’t tell if i just never listen to the play anyway, but this feels weird. kinda incoherent??? i think they tried to make it make sense out of context but i don’t think it worked

voices in my head

i love this song!!! the inclusion of rich’s lisp!!! yes!!! this is just as good as the original :’) also i sob every fucking time i hear them say “we got your back because we are your squad”
