Also on the subject of Yoko- the woman is 90, she lived through the bombings in WWII, she had two abusive husbands before she even got to John 'I don't know why I hit women' Lennon (so John was probably abusive to her as well). For most of the 70s Yoko had no idea where her daughter was because her psycho ex kidnapped her and then had the love of her life gunned down in front of her and had to raise their son in the public eye.

All while maintaining an almost aggressively optimistic outlook safe guarding what she can of her dead husband's legacy. She has never once spoken poorly of John and has always tried to emphasize his positive characteristics. She was and is one of the most influential performance artists who's work has reflected her desire for joy and her sense of humor. While their relationship has been rocky (to put it mildly) she has managed to get on good terms with her stepson, John's bandmates all speak highly of her, as does her son Sean.

All this while being publicly mocked over her looks, her ethnicity, her marriage, her art, her voice. Her traumas used as the basis for countless lurid exposes and memoirs trying to blame her for the flaws of her dead husband. Yoko Ono is made of fucking steel.

“Floyd, could you sing to me?”

The big brother looked up from where he was tucking the blanket under Branch’s feet. “Sure thing,” he said with a light smile.  “What would you like to hear? A lullaby?”

“I don’t know,” Branch mumbled as he nestled his head into the pillow. “You choose.”

Floyd could still see a crease of worry between his baby brother’s brows. He softly brushed a thumb over it in a silent reassurance that everything was going to be okay before he turned around to reach for their dad’s old guitar.

I think Floyd would often sing to Branch to get him to fall asleep, usually the songs and lullabies their parents sang when the older four were still little.

I know in the movie it seemed like they all left right after their fight, but I like to imagine that they just stormed off to cool off and that they actually left in the following days. And that this was the last song Floyd sang for Branch that night. :')

The Beatles fandom on tumblr is so fucking insane to me. Like there's this weird, weird attitude of people claiming they're on Julian/Cynthia's side by bringing up some of the messy shit that happened with John/Yoko (it's always Yoko getting shafted especially). But the thing is Julian has made it clear he made a point to clear things up and get on better terms with Yoko especially because he felt he was hurting his brother Sean by their not getting along. (The brothers are super close and Sean is very close to his mother, Yoko . . . for obvious reasons).

Cynthia/Yoko/Sean have also really banded together in the last ten years ago to show support for Julian's photography. So like are you REALLY the John Lennon fan or Julian/Cynthia defense squad member you think you are if you keep bringing up not only their very real past traumas but also refuse to support the hard work they've put into healing????????

I came up with Floyd's (other) ex band mates and then I went a little insane about them. . . Anyway they're all alternative trolls who adopted him into their group. They play nu metal at underground gigs but mostly they just go to raves and get stoned out of their gourds.
