also while im still at it sweeney todd (both the musical and character) live somewhat near the same space as jane doe in my head. in both epiphany and the ballad of jane doe, they have the same grotesque macabre and grotesqueness that you want to look away from but can’t because its so fascinating and captivating at the same time. sweeney and jane (in my head) as actors on stage have to move in such a stiff and doll-like in almost such a mechanical way but be able to also change that movement on a dime and move with such nightmarish almost uncanny fluidity because of how much of a contrast it is to how they moved earlier in the show. epiphany and the ballad of jane doe have vaguely similar fonts. that is all.
