It all started with the class failing to well, fail, despite their best attempts, at a competition. And it all ended with them mayhaps accidentally-on-purpose kidnapping some local cryptids. And a crocodile man. And a polite zombie dude. And- okay so maybe they smuggled a bunch of people out of the city they were staying at for the whole tour thing they didn’t particularly care for. 

But come on, what were they supposed to do? Not take the yellow-eyed liminal bird-people who felt all confused and sick and hurt? Not on their watch! Liminals stick together, and GIW can’t get into Amity anyway, so it’s safest there! And they understand the crocodile dude- Waylon? Lovely name Waylon- not wanting to let random people, teens or not, kidnap his friend Grundy. 

Don’t worry, they’re just gonna get him medical care ‘cause memory stuff isn’t good. Just shh, no one tell any government people, vigilantes or no. They’ve had enough of that with the GIW honestly.

i just finished ‘the lost heir’ and i keep thinking about Tsunami in the nursery with the Orca statue … i keep thinking about the head of the stone puppet turning and finding Tsunami in the dark …. and Tsunami fighting so hard for Auklet’s egg only for her to hatch right in her claws oh my god idk it was just such a good scene like i’m still thinking ab it. i hope they adapt it well in the show bc there are so many cool things you could do animation/art wise.

it’s also very interesting to me that Orca enchanted her statue feeling so sure she’d win against Coral. As she was dying she was filled with regret saying that her mother would be queen forever. but i’d say she got her revenge on the queen by leaving the cursed statue behind. i wonder if Orca was the type of dragon to be happy that her physical legacy ended up hurting Queen Coral so much after her death. i think probably?? though i’m not entirely sure. i would love a novella about Orca tbh, it would be so interesting to learn about her past and how she viewed the world.

Fun, potentially devastating idea for a ratld fic.

What if when they were turned to stone and brought back, it caused them to lose their memories?!

Imagine not everyone in the RATLD crew was turned to stone. What if only Raya and Namaari had escaped being turned to stone? How would they handle the world that returns? How would Raya handle the pain of looking into her Father’s eyes and realizing he doesn’t even know who she is or who he is.

OR- what if it was only Namaari who hadn’t been turned to stone out of most of the land, then was dealt with the choice of being honest with Raya about EVERYTHING or taking the opportunity to flip the script and keep her innocence in all of this?

Bonus- yet terrifying idea- Namaari keeps the truth from her about how Sisu’s gem broke, wanting peace for her sins. She skips the details about Fang’s part in it- weaving a tale about how it was everyone’s collective fault- and how they had become friends despite the hostility between the various lands. Basically the betrayal and the last six years erased the more people she’s told- until it’s just a bad thought in the back of her head.

Still- It’s her biggest lie and she feels guilt by it. only in time does she accept that she’s made her choice and it was too late to turn back.

Raya and her are married, the nations all aligned and good- Kumandra is formed and better than ever. Everyone is happy

Then, just like that, everyone remembers the real story- everyone’s memories returning all at once.

The biggest tragedy of oot is that link needs fucking parents and there is literally no one who is capable of filling that role in his life. Maybe Impa, but by the time the game ends the only other competent adults in the game, Darunia and Nabooru, have no idea who Link is, and every other adult is either unfit to raise a child (Ganondorf, Ingo, due to being evil), incapable of raising a child (the Deku Tree, due to being dead) or it'd be weird like if Talon adopted him (due to it being implied Link later marries Malon). It's debatable at best whether or not Navi is an adult in the first place, she reads like an older child to me, but it doesn't matter cause she either abandoned Link at the end of the game making her an unfit parent due to her abandoning him or she was actually mortally wounded and left Link to go die somewhere else like a goddamn cat or something making her incapable of raising him due to being dead.

I could parent him.

Let me tell you, when meeting Talon Ákos would not have the same problem as his sister!

Because here's the thing.

Ákos' way of thinking is very much tied to the stories he reads. You know when someone spends way too much time online? Ákos is that, but with books. He sees the world through that lense.

So when he first sees Talon, this tall, serious man in armor, he thinks that a knight walked out from one of his books. And I know that Hela and Maya are also guards, but Talon has the most classic guard look that a child would notice, I feel. He takes one look at Talon, and he's all over him, asking him questions (because he's Ákos). Among these questions:

" Do you have a magic sword?"

"Have you ever slain a dragon? I hope it was an evil dragon, because otherwise I like dragons"

"Have you ever rescued a princess?"

At the last one Talon glances at Aiden and says:

"Something like that"

And then Ákos learns that he and Aiden like each other, and he gets even more excited:

"Did you rescue him from a tower? Did you use true loves kiss?"

"Boy, do I have some stories for you!"

"Yeey, stories!"

Aiden's just standings there, trying to decide whether to be flattered or offended by being deemed Talon's demsel.

That’s literally so adorable! Talon would be flattered to be seen as a story book knight. Aiden would warn Ákos not to boost Talon’s ego too much since it’s already big enough

I think Aiden being referred to as a damsel in distress would be so funny (I think he’d blush first but still be a bit offended because “do I have to remind you I saved all of you?”).

So is the fact the kid immediately catches on to Talon liking Aiden sure must be embarrassing to be so obvious
