11: Which Hetalia-related merchandise (official and unofficial) do you own?
12: Do you read any fanfics and if so, what’s your favourite one?
28: If you could ask Himaruya one question only, what would it be?
11. OH BOY IM GLAD YOU ASKED!! I have all the mangas that have been published in German so far, the DVDs for season 1-6, an England nendoroid, a Canada keychain (the one with the flowers), a t-shirt with the main eight on it and a sweater with Sweden and Finland, the collezione, an art book, a little box with those lullaby CD’s, and the Japanese collectors edition of the first season (I think it’s the first season?). 👀 Oh and I got a package of 60 doujinshis from a local second hand website that I’m still trying to sort and look through and marvel at. I love collecting merch stuff 😇

Reviewing my Dazai collection!
Tumblr media
Hello all!!! Today I will be sharing photos of my beloved Dazais (and some other general BSD merch) and leaving my thoughts on them. They deserved a properly documented position on my blog!
Starting from the top-left and going in clockwise order: first up is my beloved Tinyzai!! He is the only one in this set to not be an authentic, licensed product. Instead he is a cute bootleg (”cuteleg”) of the first run Dazai Nendoroid. Now that I have an actual Dazai Nendoroid, I can pretty much confirm there is virtually no difference, and that what’s happening is that the same factory that is producing Nendoroids for Good Smile is also making their own batch to sell on the side — you didn’t hear it from me, but Port Mafia rumor has it that Good Smile puts them out on purpose to gain slightly more revenue!
Next up is the even tinier Minizai! This was a gift to me from my dear friend @gosteon in Germany. He was originally purchased from a con to cheer me up when I was depressed, then mailed to me in the middle of a post office strike! He’s also partially responsible for Tinyzai losing his arm. He was manufactured by Takara Tomy, and is one of the first pieces of BSD merchandise! He’s from a series that also contains Atsushi, Ranpo, Akutagawa, and Chuuya.
After him is my Cookie Run-faced Plushzai! He was manufactured by Taito, and has a label on his tag reading PRIZE ONLY. I guess that means he was only meant to be sold in Japanese claw games or something! He cost me a lot of trouble with customs. Even now I’m still frightened that FedEx will come to retrieve him and have him sent back to Japan!
Now we come to my beloved Dollzai:
Tumblr media
He’s got magnets in his feets and the CUTEST tiny socks underneath! He came nakey (except his bandages ofc) so he had to be dressy-spaghettied. Everything about him is perfect and adorable. Unlike the other figures released by Good Smile, the box does not have a display window, meaning that I was able to happily unbox him without worrying about the consequences. How could I resist!
Tumblr media
On the subject of Nendos, here is my legitimate Japanese Nendoroid Dazai. He’s third run, and he’s labeled as made at their Lucky Factory in Japan instead of in China, where they normally outsource their production to. According to the anime store I bought him in, Japan is trying to shift their manufacturing to be in-house, which is good for their economy, but leads to us having to pay more for anime boys!
Tumblr media
Here he is in comparison to my cuteleg Tinyzai. Except for the fact that Tinyzai is very worn out from world-traveling with me all these years, they’re virtually identical twins! “Hey brother, how you doing?”
Tumblr media
Yet another Nendoroid, this is the Airport ver. of Dazai released in collaboration with the Narita International Airport! I’m still shocked they chose to do this series, as I was expecting a mafia!Dazai Nendoroid to be released much sooner. But I can’t complain, he has TWO hats and a tiny suitcase! My mans is ready to travel in style. He too, was manufactured in Japan at the Lucky Factory! In addition, he, Nendoroid doll Dazai, and third run Nendoroid Dazai were all released with Orange Rouge fifth anniversary labels. Orange Rouge is their label for merchandise of exclusively male characters. But Airport Dazai is special: he was also released coinciding with the fifteenth anniversary of Nendoroid!

Another product by Good Smile, here’s Dazai again from their new Pop Up Parade series! I’m so glad they decided to release proper scale character figures that I can actually afford and not have to drop 200 dollars for. His details are exquisite, and his sculpt is so charming! I do love the display case design of the box, though the packing art is extremely lacking.
Tumblr media
As you can see, his design is a perfect match for Dazai on the season one BSD poster! I do so love this pose... His hair blowing in the wind... So cool and confident. Ah~
Speaking of posters:
Tumblr media
This is my poster! I purchased it from FanEXPO Canada. This is North American merchandise instead of Japanese, so as you can see it carries the Crunchyroll logo instead of the Kadokawa seal (which every one of my Dazais, even prize plush Dazai, has). It’s a fabric wall scroll, and it’s MASSIVE. It hangs in a place of honor in my room, above the heater next to the window, where no furniture can be placed!
Tumblr media
Winding down with the last (but not least!) of my assets, my three copies of volumes 1, 2, and 10. Sent to me by @nerdiests, @db-kt, and @kvnikiida respectively! Love you guys, mwah!!!
Thank you to all of you who read this far :D hope I could provide some fun images and occasionally some interesting information about my various Dazais! As a parting gift, here are some of the seals and symbols I spoke about:
