"Can I ask you something?" Buffy says and winces at Faith's immediate nod of affirmation — right, the spell — and amends her question, "Would it bother you if I asked a question?"

Faith shakes her head no and Buffy takes a deep breath, lets the words pour out of her in a vaguely guilty rush, "Do you still like me?"

"Yes," Faith says immediately and then recoils, as if struck, face screwed up in rage and hurt. "Why the fuck would you ask me that?"

The truth is compelled, instantly, tactlessly from Buffy, "Because I wanted to know if you'd let me kiss you."

Uhhh… 1 and 4 for the video game asks!

Last game you finished.

So I think the last game I actually finished was Pokemon Unbound which is a Pokemon rom hack or fan game! It was really really fun, it reminded me of how fun Pokemon can be something I hadn't really felt since I played Pokemon Sun whenever that came out. It's prob the best fan game I've played, the story is really fun, the character customization is great (yes I played as Riku) and all the gym challenges are really creative! And it has hands down the best starter Pokemon in Larvitar, Gible and Beldum like what a combo (I picked Gible ofc Garchomp my BOY). I would recommend it to anyone who likes Pokemon I've been tipping away at the post game stuff too and it's just a really fun experience.

4. Do you like to get 100% achievements/trophies?

To be honest I've never been bothered by them. I think before I got Steam the only time I cared about achievements was like the Lego games? They were pretty fun to 100%. Now I rarely bother with it unless I love the game. The only one I've tried to 100% recently is Elden Ring but I love that game so much I'm doing it twice lol (Steam and Playstation).

Hmmmm good question, I don't think about stuff that I don't wanna write all that often. I guess specifically I'm not interested in writing the cassmako dynamic where they annoy the hell out of each other before they get together. I've seen it done well, but I personally think it's more fun if they yes and each other into increasingly bizarre shenanigans. I DO think Mako is Cass' little maitnance drone who keeps their life from falling apart. And I DO think Cass is is happy to swoop in and rescue Mako from whatever batshit situation he's gotten himself in to. What's that line from Good Omens? "Crowley loves saving me." It's the prince compulsion.

Hehe I'm working on a Cass character study rn surrounding the events of the Apokine's funeral. It opens with Cass receiving Arete from Sokrates, which is such a cool fucking robot and it's a shame it was only deployed during one mission. There's a lot of thought about how to mourn a parent you never really knew, or a parent that you only saw the worst sides of. Hating them for the way they ruined your family for the sake of an empire that can only survive on the blood of forever wars, while also understanding that they were just as trapped in their position as you are in yours. Wishing you had some fond memory of them to hold on to. Flying their personal mech just to be held in their body the way you never were while they were alive, hoping to learn something, anything about this stranger who shared your blood. And also seeing your siblings again for the first time in 10 years at their funeral, one of whom overthrew the empire and has welded a god into their spine.

the thing that gets to me about buddie posts on here is that people will be like "look at them! friends don't do that! there is no platonic explanation for that" and well. friends do do that. their relationship is deep and beautiful and intense but their actions alone aren't exclusive to romantic partners. what — to me — makes buddie romantic over platonic boils down to their intentions. someone making their best friend their child's legal guardian isn't unheard of. but eddie did it and kept it a secret. eddie thought "this is the only man i trust with my son. this is the only person in this world that will hold my heart gently." and then eddie didn't tell him. that makes me crazier than the actual legal document. a normal friendship would discuss this. it'd be an open conversation. the fact that eddie can't bring himself to say it because he knows that what it means to him is too much to look in the eye? because he knows that telling buck about his decision would be the equivalent of bleeding all over the both of them again? that's what makes it romantic. eddie frantically chasing after buck's limp body after the lightning strike isn't necessarily because he's in love with him. plenty of really close friends would do that for each other. it's when eddie desperately tries to pull buck up to him instead of lowering him that makes it more. because eddie didn't climb the ladder to get buck down to safety, eddie climbed up the ladder to get buck to him. the desperation, the intent behind their actions, the way they can't look at each other when they're hurt because it's impossible to deal with even the idea of living in a world without each other says so much more than any of buck's acts of service alone. a best friend would help you take care of yourself and your kid after you have a mental breakdown, if you're physically injured, if you need help. it's the fact that nobody asked buck, it's the fact that he's the first person chris called, it's the fact that bobby didn't bat an eye, because of course buck's there to help eddie. it's a given. who else in the whole world would it be? because they're everything to each other. in a way that's just a little too much, a little too codependent, toes the line of friendship and lovelovelove a little too carelessly. they're not buck and eddie, best friends, they're buckandeddie, one word. and not because of any of action. because they're in massive stupid head over heels gay love with each other.

Once again on my Ras & Danny being training rivals thanks to time travel bullshit. 

Look, Danny knows about the league of Assassins, but he almost dies of laughter when he realizes it’s the modern name of the league of Shadows. He’s an adult now, has been for a while, he’s allowed to find the situation he’s found himself in amusing. Hell, his sparring buddy who is somehow still alive is laughing too. 

And no one else knows what’s going on, okay? This random man walked into their secret base, completely ignored the many assassins trying to stop him, and called their illustrious leader a “Little Bitch Man” and they are now fighting?

The fighting is familiar, but why the fuck is Ras cackling and saying things like “Ayreh Feek” back. Practically saying “Fuck you,” while laughing and oh Pit, they’re Bantering this is terrifying, why has Ras not won yet, why has this man not died yet and- bodies aren’t supposed to bend like that what the fuck- 

Ras on the other hand, has One friend, who is immortal like him, actually remembers the shit he complains about, is also down for saving endangered animals, and actually knows how to spar! It’s not a proper spar unless someone loses at least a hand that has to be reattached! And honestly, people nowadays should know that the proper greeting to an old friend is to instantly try to kill the other.
