Hey so are Izzy’s admirer and beastclaw Jozef different characters or the same guy actually?

The complication seems to come from the fact that with some Tomb Prospector summons and enemy variants, their face data are identical! So, enemy variants of Executioner are sharing the sliders with Queen Killer, enemy variants of average Tomb Prospectors share the sliders with Gremia (technically, because they have generic placeholder face model instead of sliders used to create NPCs)... and Izzy's Admirer hostile NPCs are just enemy variants of Beastclaw Josef!

You can already tell they have identical faces! I would like to 1000% confirm this, if I get a decent free-camera tool for Bloodborne to do this, but so far it seems legit! Another interesting detail is that the summons (Gremia, Queen Killer and Josef) have absolutely identical weapons and clothes sets to their "enemy" counterparts! I take this information from a certain Bloodborne wiki all compiled by one guy (@Mephistophea on Xitter, absolute chad) where many datamines are included just to confirm lack of differences! Here ( x ) is the page for Izzy's Admirer, confirming that he has the same clothes and weapons (Charred Hunter set + Beast Claw) as Josef, and here ( x ) is the page for a nameless Tomb Prospector that has the same clothes and weapons (Tomb Prospector set + Rosmarinus and Ludwig's Holy Blade) as Gremia! Mind that there is a variant of hostile Tomb Prospector NPC that has different weapons (Kirkhammer and Repeating Pistol). And... well, with Queen Killer, you can say that hostile variant is the same - naked NPC except for Gold Ardeo and Logarius' Wheel :p

The thing is, two of these hostile NPC are found in preset (so, "canon" dungeons): a single preset Izzy's Admirer in Lower Loran and a single preset Tomb Prospector in Isz! Needless to mention that 'Izzy's Admirer' somehow earned a "profile picture"...?

So yeah, I personally think that this is valid to make an exception for these specific two hostile NPCs since they are found in preset dungeons and make them their own characters! But also, these hostile hunters are just variants of generic hostile NPCs found all over Root Dungeons, besides they respawn... And ALSO, 'death' is a very loud word for Bloodborne lore, so for all we know preset Izzy's Admirer and preset Tomb Prospector might be Josef and Gremia but more in "shadow of the past" form. Like, we kill Henryk and after that we can summon him for the hunt! ...but also, we never need to kill these preset hunters to summon Josef and Gremia...

My answer is, it is up to interpretation! Because Chalice Dungeon summons and enemies specifically went under the 'videogame mechanics' razor the most imo! The certain thing is though, that 'Izzy's Admirer/Successor' is a covenant, and they all use Beast Claw, roam Loran dungeons and wear Charred Hunter set! My headcanon is that they just try to find whatever 'epiphany' that Irreverent Izzy had (in Loran), and wearing Charret set might be either because of their fear before fire (as those seeking beasthood power), because they all were Powder Kegs that agreed with Djura but went above and beyond, or a mix of both ideas! I myself choose to personify Josef and Izzy's Admirer from preset dungeons, and see them as different characters!

Here you can see all hostile Chalice Dungeon hunters, SOME of which also made it into being summons! Gremia is Tomb Prospectof B, as you can see! But also, there was a plan for a Vileblood Drifter summon named Leo and Bone Ash Hunter summon named Carla! These names are cut content and I found here ( x ) (together with mysterious 'Defeated Hunter'). Fandom has an agreement that the face data for unused NPC that still exists in the game files is likely Leo:

So yeah, in the conclusion, I myself apply the known face data to Hunter summons (Queen Killer, Josef and Gremia), make unique one for hostile variants found in preset dunegons (single Izzy's Admirer and single Tomb Prospector B) and reuse the unused hunter face for Leo, which I count as Cainhurst character! (I combined the Cainhurst portrait of female Knight and cut NPC Carla, because Carla is a very Cainhurst name and I would not put it past a Vileblood to connect with their ancestors and join Bone Ash Hunters to defend her clan from their own curiosity, but that's another story lol. Though actually this is an idea of @val-of-the-north, I just stealeded it :> )

I am not sure whether Gratia finally transcended the status of unpopular character after over half a year or not, not from what I've seen? 🤔 But she is a GIANT WOMAN that uses a literal chunk of iron to fight, like, the hugest fucking dumbass woman but one that could punch a wall into a dust fdhdhfd She deserves her place amongst the 'fleshed out' Old Hunters with others! The second known female Old Hunter, too, and with enough references available for fanart at that!

She is also found in the prison for people who learned too much about the Healing Church's secrets, or at least were a threat for it, and the fact that Simon has her fist equipped ( x ) is so cool?? She possibly was one of the people that were able to see through the charade and intended to make it fall apart, and considering Gehrman and Maria knew about everything, it creates even more interesting potential for the story and link with other characters!

For bonus points, in the game, bright red hair is linked to Cainhurst! Sure, could be just a design decision, but with writing the stories everything can go! (Gratia for queen lol)

Correct me if this is not as frequient as I've gotten the impression of, but I think making Edgar THE grumpy nerd actually was beneficial for the fandom dhfhsdf It is mostly the impression that can be gotten from how his face looks, but the shitposts potential is infinite! Like, yeah, I kinda detalise his character, but the fact that on simpler level he is one of the core driving comedy tropes appeals to me- because of course it does XD

🤔 I think it would be really good to see more of Cainhurst aesthetic art (primarily clothes-related one) than only Knight sets! They look fantastic, but Cainhurst offers an even bigger variety of sets, like Cainhurst Guardian, both variants of the noble dress (burgundy like Arianna's and grey like Forsaken Castle Ghosts), the armours of the guys in the throne room (also frequently found all over Chalice Dungeons), and also every other gremlin from the portraits that never appeared IN game! King of Cainhurst especially has two whole unused models to work with.

Like, all Bloodborne aesthetics are pretty great, but these gothic vampire noble aesthetic ass people are under-explored! I don't believe Bloodborne attracted people with just werewolves/hunters aesthetic dsfhfdh

First impression: I think when I just started ESO and met him on Khenarthi's Roost it was something along the lines of "oh well, this guy is intense about his opinions"

Impression now: I want to play whack a mole with him as a mole, squish him like stress ball, shake him in a cocktail mixer. He is so ridiculous and so punchable

Favorite moment: if I had to pick I think it would be either his wolf quote or how the Shade upon "ressurection" spits in his face and apparently chews the guy out

Idea for a story: oh, probably interactions between him and Deer during the Auridon Arc or the entire Lich Cosplay Arc, both from the Crys Cinematic Universe

Unpopular opinion: I don't quite know what popular ones even are, to be honest

Favorite relationship: I find his unhinged fanboying over Naemon a pretty fascinating thing. Definitely not healthy

Have been doing this since high school. It was my drama teacher who asked me to please stop scaring the actors. The other half of the edict was that I had to say it in a polite tone, and end it with either please or thank you.

hbomberguy’s latest video on plagiarism has made me completely rethink literature and writing. I have never once so much as considered intentionally plagiarizing anyone or anything, but I think there’s something more that has come out of this: the names of the people who created the works Somerton (and others) ripped off.

Plagiarism isn’t only bad because it is lazy and disrespectful, it’s bad because it buries the truth. If you can’t find a source, the conversation is over. Somerton’s sources are fairly easy to find by simply searching his plagiarized lines, but that isn’t true in most cases. Most of the time, the line from statement to source is a lot less clear.

Today, I was writing a report on English Ivy, which is an invasive species here in the US. I wanted to know when it was introduced and I at last found a source claiming it was introduced to the Americas “as early as 1727” on a .net website that seems quite reputable (it has multiple major universities credited in its home page), but there is no citation for where this date came from. I dug deeper and found a pamphlet created by a city government in Virginia that made the same claim, only to discover the first source linked in their bibliography. Another website (a botanical garden’s page) gave the same date with the same source hyperlinked. Of course, I have classes to attend and things to do and probably not enough time to follow the lines back to where this 1727 date came from, but if I had not just watched this video, I wouldn’t have given that date a second thought.

Of course, it doesn’t matter in the long run exactly what year hedera helix was introduced to the Americas, but it makes you wonder how many facts have been so vaguely attributed that it becomes completely impossible to figure out where they originated (and further, whether or not they’re true at all).

Hmmm...

Past some point in my life, a geometrical symbol of a star (yes, like, the five-pointed mfer) became a good omen for me. It was triggered by a severe crisis in my previous fandom, where my identity gave a true crack. I still refuse to properly manage or organize my alters and exist as being of pure chaos in fear that they'll exhaust the "original template", but the 'he'/'the beast'/'the monster'/whatever I choose to call it initially took a form of a Kin with a character that was just:

It took a form of purple stars specifically being a very good omen. Since then, I've been mediating on that mental image, and I remember how elevated I felt when I've psychologically helped my (then) irl friend a lot, and found a large lavender colored star-shaped object on the walk. Basically? It was a sign of being on the right way and doing "a good deed" for me. Purple star = being "cleansed".

Yeahhhhhh, I've endured some large arc of developing nearly-religious paranoia from my guilt and cognitive dissonaunse, and although that subdued a lot, the habit of picking ANY star-shaped object I encounter remained. It can be anything - star-shaped sticker, a thrownaway star decoration for a Christmas tree, a shape for playing in sand, a bead... anything. It is very hard to elaborate on how coincidental finding those objects is to where I go and how I act and what I think about, but to this day, picking them up and hoarding them until I can (mom tends to get rid of the 'trash') means for me accepting the "fate" that guides me and whatever it planned for me.

Funny enough, I've came full circle where I am having similar things in Fromsverse fdhfdhs But now the BEST omen is a blue star rather than purple one x) You know why :p Star symbolism still applies even after 'he' is no longer associated with literally star-shaped character. And how I am feeling lowkey feels like Tarnished travelling from one Cite of Grace to another! It might be weird, really... But I've always appreciated my ability to find the "magic" in my life, and how weirdly coincidental events and prophetic dreams are in my life. Without it, I think, I would not be able to endure everything that happened to me in my life 🤔

Does Elanor have a mount? How does she like to travel?

Now, I must say I don't usually imagine Elanor using mounts, but thinking more about it, she most definitely would not be solely walking around, like some dirty peasant.

Going from there, I believe that while there might have been plenty of more conventional steeds she has been using over years, from the Thalmor issued ones to the "I just grabbed first horse I saw at the stables and threw some cash to the stablehands". And don't get me wrong, she loves her 15 stolen horses, but...

This is not quite it, you know? Where is pizzazz, where is swag, drama, panache? Stored in the Conjuration/Necromancy, of course, and so eventually Elanor comes to just summon her atronach mounts or raise something vaguely ride-able from the ground, when and where she needs a boost.

I would imagine the wilder side of ESO mounts or Arvak from Skyrim can give a pretty good idea of what kind of aesthetic she usually aims for!

And of course, eventually, after mastering and perfecting the Dragon Aspect Elanor's favorite way to travel is to just fly everywhere.

This also slowly grew into her preferring to retain her dragon "Thurrahdaal" form over the mer one, in the end, shortly before she finally embraces it and "eats the world" she only returned back to her old, mer shape to spend time with a few close people, mainly the few priests of the reinstated Dragon Cult.

god I'm so fucking furious at the removal of Te Reo Māori names from organisations around Aotearoa. it's a complete non-issue, every organisation has the English name directly underneath the Māori name. I have never once as an English speaker been unable to understand what an organisation is for. Winston Peters, the Deputy Prime Minister, who is literally Māori himself, said “Te Papa is a historic name but tell me this waka kotahi, how many boats have you seen going down the road?”. Waka does not just mean canoe. it means vessel, and waka kotahi (the transport agency of Aotearoa) explains this VERY SIMPLY on their official website. waka kotahi means to travel together as one. Can you see how fucking upsetting this is. A Māori person in power who is in agreement about banning his own language, being so cocky about something that he does not even understand due to the suppression of the language of his people. It makes me sick. I've seen reports from Māori people all over Aotearoa speaking out about how upset and furious they are, how decades of progress have been undone in the fight to restore the rights of their people who have for so long been oppressed and have suffered the effects of colonisation. Please share this if you can, I hate knowing how few people will hear about this, I know there is so much injustice in the world right now and it is so exhausting, I know. I love you all, keep it up.
