the specials were amazing, but at this point there are really only two things that they should consider bringing david tennant back for:
merging with ncuti gatwa at the end of the season or during a special, symbolizing the acceptance of self after a lengthy character arc as well as resynching their timelines to become a whole person who has lived a lengthy life with many friends that must come to an end, or
a ten second cameo during the Invasion of the Daleks’ SuperCyberMasterRani Genesis Evangelion Plan where he completely misses out on everything happening because he’s putting on an impromptu recorder performance after rose said she didn’t like it.

I'm almost certain that the Doctor excitedly running around his new TARDIS was just David Tennant. They put that fanboy in the new set, pointed a camera at him and just let it roll.
Edit: I knew it, I was right!! Just watched the podcast and they said the running was David's idea.

Absolutely adore how the doctor acts in the bbc children in need short because its so obvious that was just 13! Like yeah they look like 10 again but you can really tell they were that brilliant woman 60 minutes ago!

I saw people complaining about the trans representation in The Star Beast saying it wasn't great but I really enjoyed it? Like yeah it falls a little bit into " nonbinary character isn't human" but that's not strictly bad representation and is something that was always going to happen in a show like doctor who. Also I don't mind there being a scene where Rose gets dead named? Like it is a bad thing but the show frames it as such and it's a very real experience for out trans teens. Yeah the bit with Donna and Rose thinking of a solution the doctor didn't think of because he's a man or something is a bit goofy but all of Doctor who is a bit goofy.
All in all, while it is very obvious it was written by a cis man, there's nothing horribly wrong with the way being trans and nonbinary is presented in the special. It's obviously done with good intentions and RTD has made it clear that he won't "SAVE the show from the WOKE LGBT AGENDA" like some people have been saying.

Anyone else noticing just how much like Donna the Fourteenth Doctor is?? It wasn't as noticable in the Star Beast, but really jumps out in Wild Blue Yonder.

Evening Standard - April 17, 2005
At 33 - he celebrates his 34th birthday on Monday - Tennant is one of the youngest actors to tackle the part, giving the time traveler a youthful image.
[ Back in 2005, only Peter Davison had been younger than David when he took on the role of The Doctor ]
Doctor Who Magazine - Issue 584 (Nov 2022) - Benjamin Cook
Now 51, David is the third oldest actor to inherit Doctor Who's lead role. He's four years younger than William Hartnell and Peter Capaldi when they debuted, one year older than Jon Pertwee, and 16 years older than Tenth Doctor actor David Tennant, to whom the Fourteenth Doctor actor David Tennant may be distantly related. (They look almost identical.)
Whew, who are we kidding? It's him! The one and only. David Tennant is back - 12 years, nine months and 22 days after he hung up his Converse and regenerated into Matt Smith. The world has changed a lot since New Year's Day 2010, but David looks the same. Maybe he's an actual time traveler.
David Tennant - one of the youngest AND oldest Doctors!
...for Tennant Tuesday (or whatever day this post finds you)

This post is being kept vague to avoid spoiling things for people who have not seen The Star Beast episode of Doctor Who yet.
This is a poll.
Question: Did you enjoy the "male-presenting" line in the Doctor Who episode "The Star Beast"?
Option 1: Yes, I enjoyed it.
Option 2: No, I did not enjoy it.
There is no third option. If you have no idea what this is about, simply do not vote.
