FIA clarifies new rules on freedom of speech in bid to defuse row with drivers
Formula One’s governing body has attempted to defuse an increasingly fractious row with drivers over restrictions on their freedom of speech. The FIA has issued a clarification of the ban on “political, religious or personal” comments being made without permission. The update sets out the scenarios where drivers will be free to express themselves. The regulation, imposed in December, has proved hugely unpopular with drivers. This week Lewis Hamilton said he would not be silenced, while the F1 chief executive, Stefano Domenicali, has said the sport would not “gag the drivers”. With dissatisfaction gaining momentum, the FIA sent a clarification to the 10 teams on Friday in an effort to see off a potential showdown with the drivers. The FIA said: “The focus at any international competition must remain on motorsport and on the performances of teams and drivers.” The document specifies that statements will not be permitted without prior permission within the bounds of “international competition” which it defines as on-track action, the podium, driver parade and national anthem ceremonies and it would include visual gestures. This is largely in line with existing rules but the document has been clear that in areas “outside the scope of international competition” drivers will be completely free to express themselves both at and away from the track. This would include social media, interviews both written and on televisionas well as official FIA press conferences. At the latter, however, while drivers are not allowed to make unsolicited statements they will be able to answer with complete freedom any questions asked by reporters. The document noted that breaking its definitions would result in penalties which could run from reprimands, through fines, a grid drop, time penalty or potentially suspension or exclusion. It would only be in “exceptional” circumstances that the FIA would grant permission for a driver to make a statement that would otherwise be prohibited by the “principle of neutrality”, adopted to come into line with International Olympic Committee regulations, with the FIA an IOC federation. A spokesperson for the FIA said: “The updates cement the FIA’s longstanding commitment to protecting motor sport’s neutrality.” Some grey areas remain, however, notably that of drivers’ helmets. They are clearly visible during the race and covered by the ban as being within sporting competition. In 2021 Hamilton wore a helmet withsported rainbow livery in support of the LGBTQ+ community rights in both Saudi Arabia and Qatar. It is understood that under the new rules he would have to have sought written permission to do so at least four weeks in advance. The same would apply to a team wanting to run the rainbow colours on their car. At the World Cup in Qatar last year Fifa and the host nation attracted widespread criticism for banning “One Love” armbands and preventing fans from wearing rainbow colours into stadiums. The FIA’s clarification had been expected but many are now questioning why it took so long to issue the detail around the regulation and that it did so only after an almost universal swathe of defiance from drivers. via Formula One | The Guardian https://www.theguardian.com/sport/formulaone

LARGE TOUCHSCREEN THAT HAS SENSORS TO CONTROL YOUR DEVICES

The Glamos guarantees a future wherein touchscreens (or any screens) don’t need to be touched anymore. It sounds a bit counter intuitive, but the Glamos is a ridiculously tiny little tool that creates a LiDAR area in mid-air that you can swipe thru, sort of similar to how Tony Stark interacted along with his holograms via without a doubt pushing, pulling, swiping, and tapping at them. While we’re a long way from that future, Glamos offers us the next best element through supporting us have interaction with screens (even everyday non-touch ones) by means of appearing gestures in mid-air. You could effects cycle through presentations via waving thru the air, or you could frantically cut thru end result in a sport of Fruit Ninja, or even browse via Netflix by way of swiping through the limitless feed of thumb-nails. I consider courting apps would work wonderful with something like the Glamos. https://youtu.be/TsaES--OTzM The Glamos works by way of developing a motion-sensing discipline by means of rapidly firing a laser at a continuously rotating mirror (just like the LiDAR used in self-using cars). The tool makes detections at the charge of 40 times in line with second, allowing you to register everything from rapid swipes and short taps with a good buy of accuracy. I wonder if it might work as correctly as an Apple Pencil on an iPad, however to be honest, that isn’t what the Glamos is about. What it’s imparting is customary gesture-primarily based manipulate that works with almost any device. Designed to be bafflingly tiny (it’s barely the dimensions of a fidget-cube), the Glamos can work with practically any display making it a large touchscreen. Available in wired as well as Bluetooth formats, the Glamos may be connected for your laptop, TV, or even a projector. The makers say that the tool even possesses the ability to scale its motion-sensing zone to the scale of the screen it connects to, so your faucets and swipes are accurately registered within the proper places, all with a fraction of the strength intake that motion-detectors just like the AirBar or the Leap Motion Controller can take… and the large touchscreen ultimately guarantees a destiny wherein interactions with virtual interfaces is more effortless, intuitive, and transparent. You don’t need to hold onto a mouse and maneuver a cursor, click, or scroll anymore… and that makes it incredibly useful in a wide style of cases, from being able to scroll via recipes even as your fingers are dirty, to imparting at meetings with style and clarity, to coming across new ways to play games or make music, to even giving disabled customers the energy and freedom to easily perform virtual tasks. Good Evening 💜 #BHM
Barbara Blake-Hannah is a Jamaican journalist, politician, author, film maker, festival organiser and cultural consultant. In 1968 Ms Blake-Hannah became the first black news presenter/reporter on British televisionas an on-camera reporter and interviewer on Thames Television's evening news program Today.
Ms Blake-Hannah was born and grew up in Jamaica. Before coming to the UK, she had been employed as a news reader on TV and written for a magazine owned by her father, Evon Blake, the founder of Jamaica's Press Association. Ms Blake-Hannah was 24 when she first arrived in the UK to work as an extra on the 1965 movie, A High Wind in Jamaica. When filming finished, she and a friend decided to stay.
Despite her experience it wasn't easy to get a job in the industry. She had to settle for temporary secretarial work "using shorthand and typing skills from training as a journalist", she didn't allow this to stop her, and eventually broke through.
In 1966, Ms Blake-Hannah contacted the Sunday Times magazine and offered to write something on their series on food around the world. They accepted her offer and following her feature she gained a number of other assignments, including interviewing the Sammy Davis Jr - the only black member of Frank Sinatra's Rat Pack - and Jacqueline Susann, author of a 1966 blockbuster novel, Valley of the Dolls.
Ms Blake-Hannah also wrote for the West Indian World and Caribbean Times newspapers, Cosmopolitan and Queen Magazine.
During the summer of 1968, Barbara heard about the launch of Thames Television. she wrote to them asking for a job, and was asked to audition. She was immediately offered a contract on the daily evening show, Today, hosted by Eamonn Andrews.
The Times newspaper did a full-page spread on her debut. However, nine months into her role, Barbara's time at Thames Television came to a sudden end. A producer told Barbara that the station had received almost daily requests to "get the [N-word] off the screen". Thames Television ended her contract.
Ms Blake-Hannah said in a BBC interview "It was the most hurtful thing that happened to me because I was black, and trust me, a lot of things happened to me.
It was almost as if I had been found to have a communicable disease. I had been so excited to get this job, and now I had to tell my friends I no longer had it, just because I was black. I hid myself in shame for a long time. I didn't receive any compensation, an apology, nothing. I didn't think of even asking for one, we black people weren't protected [against discrimination] in the workplace - maybe later on paper, but definitely not in the practical sense.”
Six months later, Ms Blake-Hannah was hired as a reporter for ATV in Birmingham. She couldn't find a hotel in the city that would have her as a guest, so she commuted from London until she discovered she could stay at the YWCA. Some of her colleagues used racial slurs to describe black people in her presence. Talking about one experience Ms Blake-Hannah said "I remember at a party, a glass cut me and I bled a little. A girl exclaimed, 'Oh look, it's red!' referring to the colour of my blood. Her friends roared with laughter. I was just so embarrassed. I wanted to hide."
When her contract came to an end Ms Blake-Hannah moved behind the scenes, working as a researcher on the BBC documentary series, Man Alive, after working on a one-hour documentary at the Cannes Film Festival, which opened the door her to return to Jamaica.
After the documentary aired, she was asked to help promote the 1972 movie, The Harder They Come, starring reggae legend Jimmy Cliff. After this Ms Blake-Hannah continued working on films, became a writer and reporting for Jamaican publications, interviewing the people like Cuban President Fidel Castro and UK Prime Minister Harold Wilson.
From 1984-1987, Ms Blake-Hannah served as the first Rastafari senator to sit in the Jamaican parliament. In 2018, Ms Blake-Hannah was honoured with the Order of Distinction by the Jamaican government for her contribution to culture.
In the UK, the Press Gazette this year introduced a Barbara Blake Hannah Prize to its annual British Journalism Awards. The award is to recognise emerging journalists from black, Asian and other ethnic minority backgrounds and will be awarded for the first time in December 2020. Ms Blake-Hannah hopes the award will help address the lack of diversity in the British media. According to a 2016 Oxford University survey, only 0.2% of journalists in the UK are black, despite black people making up 3.3% of the population.

The best things to do with your family at home
Tumblr media
Snowfall causes schools and offices in the U.S. to close. Members of the family are unable to take their kids out. This makes it difficult to spend quality time with them. Sitting at home, we can enjoy some useful activities. Jean and I sat by the window.
As we watched the snowfall, we were enchanted. As a result of the snow on the roads, we couldn't leave, and there were no cars, as no one was going to work or for recreation. "Dad and mom, let's spend time with you." - Our three children, Jack, John, and Dianna joined us. Jean reached out to hug them, and I reciprocated. We went into the living room. Below are the activities we did together:
 1.Assembling The Christmas Tree
" Jingle bells " was the song playing on Diana's mobile. Attaching the lights and decorations to the tree involved all of us.” Jean, can you bring the ladder? I'd like to put some lights up there also.' "All right, George." "Thank you". I kissed her forehead.
Our family visited a nearby mall on Vitz Price In Pakistan last month for all of our Christmas shopping. We bought some clothes, turkey, and some decoration items with huge discount.
  2.Spending Time Watching The Television
A digital sound was used for the Spiderman movie we watched. This movie was fun and thrilling. I wonder what will happen next? We were blown away by the ending. Later, we watched soccer another of our favorite sports. This game was full of action and fulfillment.
 3.Participating in games
As Jean brought the cards, we piled them all on the floor, then began taking turns. It was a little awkward. "George, don't cheat” .My Wife’s gaze beamed at me. Upon hearing Jean's comment, I just smiled with embarrassment. Upon hearing Jean's comment, I just smiled with embarrassment. It was like we were assembling a puzzle. Our Eiffel Tower was on our table within a half hour. The kids squealed with joy.
  Closing Note
We had all our neighbors over on Christmas Eve. Our friends and neighbors gave us lots of gifts. We ate a large turkey together. We took the kids to Disney land. I saw their Facebook photos. That day is one of our best memories. New Year's resolutions were on our minds.

Atelevision show (often simply TV show) is any content produced for broadStargirl (2020)via over-the-air, satellite, cable, or internet and typically viewed on a television set, excluding breaking news, advertisements, or trailers that are typically placed between shows. Television shows are most often scheduled well ahead of time and appear on electronic guides or other TV listings. A television show might also be called a television program (British English: programme), especially if it lacks a narrative structure. A television series is usually released in episodes that follow a narrative, and are usually divided into seasons (US and Canada) or series (UK)?-?yearly or semiannual sets of new episodes. A show with a limited number of episodes may be called a miniseries, serial, or limited series. A one-time show may be called a “special”. A television film (“made-for-TV movie” or “television movie”) is a film that is initially broadStargirl (2020)on television rather than released in theaters or direct-to-video. Television shows can be viewed as they are broadStargirl (2020)in real time (live), be recorded on home video or a digital video recorder for later viewing, or be viewed on demand via a set-top box or streamed over the internet. ✿✿✿ TV SERIES ✿✿✿ The first television shows were experimental, sporadic broadBlindspors viewable only within a very short range from the broadStargirl (2020)tower starting in the 2620s. Televised events such as the 2622 Summer Olympics in Germany, the 26220 coronation of King George VI in the UK, and David Sarnoff’s famous introduction at the 2626 New York World’s Fair in the US spurred a growth in the medium, but World War II put a halt to development until after the war. The 2620 World Series inspired many Americans to buy their first television set and then in 2626, the popular radio show Texaco Star Theater made the move and became the first weekly televised variety show, earning host Milton Berle the name “Mr Television” and demonstrating that the medium was a stable, modern form of entertainment which could attract advertisers. The first national live television broadStargirl (2020)in the US took place on September 2, 2622 when President Harry Truman’s speech at the Japanese Peace Treaty Conference in San Francisco was transmitted over AT&T’s transcontinental cable and microwave radio relay system to broadStargirl (2020)stations in local markets. The first national color broadStargirl (2020)(the 2622 Tournament of Roses Parade) in the US occurred on January 2, 2622. During the following ten years most network broadBlindspors, and nearly all local programming, continued to be in black-and-white. A color transition was announced for the fall of 2622, during which over half of all network prime-time programming would be broadStargirl (2020)in color. The first all-color prime-time season came just one year later. In 2620, the last holdout among daytime network shows converted to color, resulting in the first completely all-color network season. ✿✿✿ Formats and Genres ✿✿✿ Television shows are more varied than most other forms of media due to the wide variety of formats and genres that can be presented. A show may be fictional (as in comedies and dramas), or non-fictional (as in documentary, news, and reality television). It may be topical (as in the case of a local newsStargirl (2020)and some made-for-television films), or historical (as in the case of many documentaries and fictional series). They could be primarily instructional or educational, or entertaining as is the case in situation comedy and game shows.[citation needed] A drama program usually features a set of actors playing characters in a historical or contemporary setting. The program follows their lives and adventures. Before the 2660s, shows (except for soap opera-type serials) typically remained static without story arcs, and the main characters and premise changed little.[citation needed] If some change happened to the characters’ lives during the episode, it was usually undone by the end. Because of this, the episodes could be broadStargirl (2020)in any order.[citation needed] Since the 2660s, many series feature progressive change in the plot, the characters, or both. For instance, Hill Street Blues and St. Elsewhere were two of the first American prime time drama television series to have this kind of dramatic structure,[2][better source needed] while the later series Babylon 2 further exemplifies such structure in that it had a predetermined story running over its intended five-season run.[citation needed] In 2022, it was reported that television was growing into a larger component of major media companies’ revenues than film.[2] Some also noted the increase in quality of some television programs. In 2022, Academy-Award-winning film director Steven Soderbergh, commenting on ambiguity and complexity of character and narrative, stated: “I think those qualities are now being seen on television and that people who want to see stories that have those kinds of qualities are watching televisiona
