So stoked to be back in Peru for a quick Xmas family vacation! Four years ago, my dad took me to the rooftop of his Toy Car Gallery (on our lil “Muyawasi” orchard in The village of Quilmana, Peru) and told me he was going to build me an apartment. At the time I thought it was unnecessary, cause I was barely even visiting them much, too busy with my art tours. But I made it a point to at least come over for a couple of weeks each Xmas time, after my jungle Retreats. As things started shaping up nicely on their land, I decided to spend the first quarter of each year here, avoiding my cold/dark Canadian winter and having a second summer here. Anyways, after years of hard construction (you can see in the final pics), preparations and decorations, I finally moved into my new apartment studio this week!! So stoked and massively Grateful to have this place for me to do my work, art and be comfortable during my months here. I can’t thank my dad @teddydyer enough for this awesome gift and I will make sure to continue spending months with him and my lovely mamita @dyerjosie every Peruvian summer! Well, I left Peru last night, such a potent few weeks with so many inner challenges and lessons. Feeling good about it all though n ready for the next chapter in this new year full of blessings! This is a pic of me showing my dad @teddydyer one of the custom #galakticdude mirrors I got made in Vienna. It will be part of our country project. My parents are such big mirrors to me too, of my goods and bads, so I am grateful to have spent this time with them, but also happy to be moving along on my own path. Next year’s trip to Peru will be full-on though, not only because of my 3rd Art/Aya retreat in the jungle, but also cause I just got offered (by local street art legend @entes93 ) to do a Solo Exhibition at the @mtnshop_peru gallery! Also a wachuma workshop in The sacred valley of Urubamba, Cuzco with @thecityoflightperu . Well, it’s been almost 7 months that I ended up stayed in Peru, 3 of them under martial law Quarantine. It’s been great and frustrating at the same time, but I’m nothing but grateful for the experiences! Super Big thanks to my parents @teddydyer and @dyerjosie for taking such good care of me! I’ve never spent so much quality time with them in my whole life!! In the first pic you can see us enjoying the new fire pit we built by one of my murals. Big thanks to my family @teddydyer @dyerjosie n @themetanoist for these fun Birthday presents! Perfect to start decorating my new apartment here in Quilmana, Peru! I was actually going to fly back to North America tonight, but @spiritairlines only allows 1 piece of luggage (?!) so I was forced to buy a new flight and extended the trip a couple of weeks. Deja Vu! It was only half a year ago that Arianne @themetanoist and me painted the walls of our new apartment in Montreal, and we are already at it again, in our new apartment in Quilmana, Peru!! So blessed to have had my dad @teddydyer build us this studio apartment on my parent’s land, I am so grateful! So we have to make sure the walls get some fun colours, starting with our blue bedroom! It is so hot these days (its middle of summer), we never stop sweating, but the view of the Andes mountains and the mural of my brother @peru143 is amazing! We leave Peru in a week, so I don’t think we will get a chance to enjoy it on this visit, but at least it will be ready to rock when we return in December. I feel like these last couple of years have been about working hard to set myself up to the next level and chapter of my life. Not sure what exactly what it will be about, but the sky is the limit! Super stoked on the last details getting completed on my new studio/apartment here in Peru! When my dad @teddydyer told me he was building this for me on the floor above his “Toy Car Gallery” (as to make it easier for me to visit them longer while staying productive n comfortable), I was nothing but grateful! The only request I had though, was for him to make me a pyramid right above where my bed would be, as to channel some epic vibes into my dreamworld! My dad had challenges finding a carpenter, in our little village of Quilmana, who could build such a structure, so he figured it out himself. In these pics I’m helping him place the nice “huairuro” wood that will be seen in the inside of it, before he adds other layers on top of it. So stoked he is such a great artist in this way, creating dreams together, to be enjoyed for many years to come! So happy to be spending these holy-days in the embrace of my dear parents @teddydyer and @dyerjosie , who I included in this, my first large canvas painting. I painted “The God of Healing” ten years ago, at a time that I was massively insecure, which was crippling my personal power and growth, keeping me down in fear, streaming from emotional traumas of my past. Art has always been my biggest medicine, so I worked hard for 6 months on this ambitious piece to create an image/artifact/portal that would create the healing I needed to live a full life of happiness and service. It’s beautiful to look back on it now cause I’ve come such a long way! The painting itself didn’t heal me, but it set the tone for my path of doing that work myself. I am never alone in that though, I had big support from my family, my romantic partners, my friends, travel, experiences, synchronicities, nature, medicines, the universe, etc, etc. I am so grateful for you all and the help you’ve given me to build myself back up into completeness! The work never ends though, and the diamond always needs more polishing, but it all feels like it’s cherries on top these days, cause life has been so blessed to me, even with its hardships.
