Baby Tanyuu wanted to be like normal girls. She doesn't wanna have to study how to read and write all the time and she wants to know why one of her legs is the color of charcoal and paralysed. So Tama told her her magical destiny. To be a Scribe and help seal away the Forbidden Mushi.

Apparently sealing the Forbidden Mushi onto paper causes an intense pain in the birthmark on her body.

Tanyuu listening to countless stories of mushi-shi destroying and eradicating mushi, referring to them as vermin, causes Tanyuu to develop some sympathy for mushi. She found these mushi-shi arrogant, uncaring, and fearful of the magical bugs that literally keep the world running.

Tanyuu starts asking for stories where mushi don't get murdered and gets her feelings brushed off for being childish and coming from someone with no experience with mushi.

Then comes Ginko! Ginko wins over Tanyuu by telling her happier stories about mushi. He's her favorite for a reason. She even led him into the hidden archives without her guardian's permission.

Tanyuu: I want a world where everyone can live in harmony with mushi. Ginko: I can help with that.

The blogs that were removed from the Isola Radiale masterlist are under the cut. Note that both blogs with broken links and deactivated accounts will be included both at the top of this list and in their proper categories.

If you were removed in error, please simply send a re-application message. Several different people work on the activity checks, so it’s possible there are mistakes! If this happens to you, you will be able to keep everything you previously had, you just may be placed in a different residence.

Our general activity rules regarding checks are as follows:

Make at least two in-character posts during a calendar month (for instance, if the activity check is for May, have two in-character posts between the 1st and 31st of May).

Only one meme response of 300+ words counts as activity.

Only one drabble of 500+ words counts as activity.

One-liners or minis not tagged #isola mini also do not count.

Please Note: If you are removed during two consecutive activity checks, you will not be allowed to re-apply as that character for one calendar month.

Additionally, anyone removed during the activity check will have a 12-hour window from the time of posting to re-claim their character. Any character not reclaimed during that period will be open to the community at large.

This card wins the prize for MOST Untranslatable Name.

Tadpole in Japanese is 御玉杓子 (otamajakushi), which doesn't resemble the cardname's kanji at all.

Instead, the following characters are used: 悪魂邪苦止, which is phonetically also pronounced otamajakushi; where 悪 / 魂 / 邪 / 苦 / 止 are pronounced o / tama / ja / ku / shi, respectively.

The important part is 悪 / 魂 / 邪 / 苦 / 止 means "evil / soul / vice / pain / stop," respectively, giving these larval anurans a bit of an occult/demonic vibe.

There was really no way to convey this in English; the translators really had to improvise and even then doesn't convey the pun.

Assuming character length wasn't an issue, my personal try at it would be:
