During the Herald Supreme arc, where Doctor Strange served as Galactus’ herald, the doctor thought the only way he could end the tyrant’s madness from destroying the universe- was to end the universe itself. In the process, he had to sacrifice his friends, his family, all the people he loved.
In the aftermath, with his regret, he reunites with his family and only asks for forgiveness.
Imagine if Dormammu didn’t actually care about Doyle as well as we think he does. In the series, we don’t see Doyle talk about his past at all. But his classmates tend to refer to him as ‘prince’ from time to time which can suggest that Dormammu does recognize Doyle as his lineage. But at the same time we know Dormammu is a power hungry bastard that fought for the right to rule against his own kind, his sister and even Galactus. We don’t actually know what Doyle and Dormmammu’s relationship is like. For all we know he could of been as abusive to his own son as he was to his niece Clea. Maybe Doyle came to Strange Academy to learn under the Sorcerer Supreme and gain enough power to overthrow his father. We really just have to speculate
Yeah but imagine if Dormammu found out what the academy did to his son. Posts this to his Facebook:
After the Champions had their run in Mephisto, Dr. Strange starting holding monthly demon psa meetings with all the young superhero teams so no future ‘mistakes’ could be made again. Bonus panel where Kurt chews Stephen out on his past ‘mistakes’ xD
[Note: Please don’t add any spoilers past Champions (2019) #5, I stopped reading the series so I could get this done but procrastination snatched me several months later so I still need to catch up]
A month after the Galactus incident, Wong, the Scarlet Witch, and Dr. Voodoo gathered to discuss what was their next step was in helping Dr. Strange recover from his loss of Clea. While Wong and Wanda stressed over the fact that they would need to give Stephen extra attention to ward off his depression, Jericho was more concerned with giving Stephen his own space to recover. Dr. Strange was their Sorcerer Supreme, and he was no stranger to difficult situations, so Jericho wished they would respect that Stephen was stronger than they put out. But Wong had worked with Dr. Strange for the longest, and he’s seen Stephen at every stage, so he’s only preparing for the worst. While they all have faith that Stephen can get through this, Wong has faith that he can keep the Sorcerer Supreme from becoming his own undoing.
