the issue with ttpd personally is that I love some of the songs but sadly I've been force-fed her personal life so much, these details keep coming and leaves a bad taste in my mouth

"So high school" is a cute love song, but it's about our xenophobic racist king tk

"I can fix him" have some elements I like but it's about mh and her getting offended she's being held responsible for her problematic actions

"guilty as sin?" is one of my favs, but it reads very different when you know (unfortunately) the context

"so long, london" is amazing, but just like "renegade" she blames joe alwyn for having mental health issues, but also out them to the world which is the worst part of it all

wishing I didn't know the context, but it is practically impossible to engage in any taylor swift space without knowing

I cannnottt stop thinking about how like. this isn’t really what taylor signed up for. sure, she signed up to be an entertainer and a performer but like. she didn’t sign up for the rest of it. and sure one could say it comes with the territory but also, she started out around the same time portable internet and social media was being developed and taking off. being an entertainer and performer has drastically changed in the last 20 or some odd years due to social media. and it reminds me of the willow mv where she walks onto the stage with her ukulele and once the song is over, turns to walk off stage but finds it’s become essentially a glass cage. many thoughts many thoughts.

tbh the worst part of the ttpd deluxe editions, to me, is not just that she's doing the "multiple deluxe versions with a different bonus track on each one" thing. its the staggered release, on top of the fact that they're limited time. if they all dropped at once ( and i say "all" because i do fear she'll drop more than the current two ) people could pick the ones they like. but instead you get the One and you buy it now or you buy it from a scalper scum. and yeah, i would like to have the patches and the feelies but i'm not paying shipping every time. that's just. not feasible. and if i change my mind or maybe get a surprise bonus or smth, i can't just buy them from her website because they're fucking LIMITED TIME. hate this hell world
