Seblaine Week 2022 — Day 4: Free Day (@seblaineaffairs)

Happy Seblaine Week!

Been working on this for a while, and thought it would be nice for the free day.

Obviously this is one of Sebastian’s lowest moments, but I really love the humanity that Grant brought to it, and call me a shipper, but you can definitely see in his reaction that he cares a lot about Blaine. And yes, I do like seeing him spiraling lmao. Grant does such a good job!

Our boy really fucked up, but we love that he holds himself accountable and we love the work he puts into himself after (even if it took some time to get there).

Day 1: Reunion

Here's a breezy summer read for you, a WIP (I will convert this into something publishable as a YA book so I promise I will finish it!). It's set during a summer between Seblaine's college years. It follows merrily along with one of my favorite books, "Carney's House Party." This is my first full length fic I've started exclusively for Seblaine Week. As it's the end of an era, the effort felt merited!

For all of those who thought Blaine’s move back to Ohio to teach at Dalton felt like a contrivance…this fic assumes canon until that point. Right after the end of Blaine’s stormy first year at NYADA, Klaine break up.

But they don’t get back together because Blaine never goes to Dalton. He is braver, he goes west and crashes on Cooper’s couch. After year of recovery and development, he starts school at one of the best music programs in the country. The archenemy of my own alma mater: The University of Southern California (I actually worked there and it’s an impressive school, worthy of our dear Blaine).

Kurt and Blaine do talk again, but aren’t silly enough to try long distance. They keep in touch as friends. So after two years of being apart, Kurt is the biggest question mark in Blaine’s life. Fighting with Sebastian after the Season 5, episode 01 proposal maybe be his biggest regret.

Unlike my other stories, I decided to bring Hunter Clarington into the fray. Will Hunter help or hurt Seblaine’s chances of getting together?

a car playlist song in my books, currently. it’s upbeat and fun and it’s got corny lyrics. if i don’t get the ‘ i'm with YOU ’ part in the second verse right, i'll restart the song and go for it full send again and again until i do it in a way that satisfies the itch in my brain. there’s usually also a 50 / 50 chance i'll tear up at the softness of the breakdown right after the bridge.

Snowells Week 2021 Day 6: Bed Sharing AU

It happens like this. There’s a shift. Followed by a sigh. Accompanied with a stretch. A tangle of limbs will move, trying to pull away. Someone’s arms will wrap around a waist, pulling the one leaving back to the comfort of the bed.

“Don’t leave,” one of them will whisper.

“We have work,” the other will lazily argue.

“Just one more minute,” they’ll respond with a small kiss to the cheek. A welcome bribe.

Now one of two things will happen. Either they will stay snuggled for a minute more and then reluctantly get up to go about their day, or the kisses will continue, ending with both of them being late to work. The latter used to be a horrifying prospect before they had gotten together but now they don’t mind it as much. Years of work had led to fewer threats and a chance to relax. So when they take the opportunity to be late every once in a while, Harry makes sure to kiss her everywhere and anywhere he can and Caitlin makes sure to touch him and hold him as close as possible, enjoying the feel of him against her.

It’s a ritual. No matter who starts it, it almost always goes like this. To think this had started by mere happenstance, that a man getting struck by lightning would set up the perfect sequence of events that would lead them to meeting. To working together. To trusting one another. And eventually laying together, side by side, completely and utterly enamored with the other, dreaming sweet dreams that never end even in the daylight.

PARTsolutions TIP 86：生成されるCADデータの保存先をCADのバージョンごとに別々にしたい

同じCADでも移行期などの理由により、例えばSolidworks2021と2022などのように複数のバージョンを使い分けることもあるかと思います。

PARTsolutionsではあるパーツデータの初回利用時に初めてCADデータが生成され保存先フォルダに保存され2度目の利用移行はその生成済のCADデータをロードする、という挙動になります。

一方同一CADのバージョン違いの場合、下位バージョンで生成したCADデータを上位バージョンでロードすることは原則可能ですが、逆はできません。これはどのCADであってもおおよそ共通の挙動かと思います。

このため複数バージョン利用環境でCADデータの保存先を一つのフォルダにすると弊害が起ります。つまり、下位バージョンのCAD利用時に上位バージョンで一度以上利用済のパーツをCAD転送しようとすると、CADデータをロードすることができずエラーとなってしまいます。

そこで例えば、Solidworks2021利用時はあるフォルダに、 Solidworks2022利用時は別のあるフォルダに生成されるCADデータを保存、ということができます。

設定方法

まず生成されるCADデータの保存先の設定に関する基本的な情報は過去のTIP「PARTsolutions TIP 65：生成されるCADデータの保存先を変更したい」を参照してください。

これを理解した上で次のように設定します。今回の例はSolidworksです。

「ifsolidworks.cfg」の[CreationOptions(is3d):include(CreationOptions)]セクションに

[CreationOptions(is3d):include(CreationOptions)] poolpath(sw2021,isCreaOptNotSet)=?_FORMAT_0("C:/temp/solidworks2021").value() poolpath(sw2022,isCreaOptNotSet)=?_FORMAT_0("C:/temp/solidworks2022").value()

この設定を追加することで、Solidworks2021利用時は「 C:/temp/solidworks2021 」というフォルダに、Solidworks2022利用時は「 C:/temp/solidworks2022 」というフォルダにCADデータが保存されます。

その他のバージョンでも方法は同じ、上記設定の太字の箇所を以下のように各バージョンに対応した値に設定します。

Hello Seblainers. Hello… everyone else.

It has been the greatest honor to run the Department of Seblaine Affairs. What originally started as just a place to run Seblaine Week 2014, quickly became the host not only of our annual Seblaine Week but numerous fan events to bring our tiny community together to create, to love, and to enjoy content centered around Seblaine.

Alas, all good things must come to an end and it is (almost) time for us, the admins, to retire. But we couldn’t do that without hosting one last Seblaine Week. 

So come join us for our final event! Starting with voting for when Seblaine Week 2022 will be. 

Please bear in mind that voting is limited to one vote per person for the duration of the poll. The poll will be open for voting until midnight PST on May 7th, 2022. BUT you can vote for multiple dates, so just pick all the ones that works best for you.

Seblaine Week is almost here!  Here are our posting guidelines for all your incredible works. Posting will follow our normal protcols, so if you’ve participated in past years/events, things should be very familiar for you.

We're kicking things off with the Reunuion theme and end with Years and Years/Years Later. The full schedule can be found here.

Posting starts at midnight (your time) on August 15 and ends at 11:59 pm (your time) on August 21.

General Posting Instructions
