Is it the day??? Mona wrote smt again??? Yes and its a cute father daughter one shot for Sunniva and Gustav. Just because I can. It's was supposed to be funny af but after the clock passed midnight while i was writing this it turned sad. Have fun lmao
Perfect Little Peanut;
'Your daughter got into a fight.'
Repressing to ask, "did she win?", Gustav Larson let out a nervous laugh as he looked at Snotlout Jorgenson - his half brother, he might add - in slight disbelief. 'Well, uh, that's a first...?'
Snotlout groaned, shaking his head as he pinched the bridge of his nose. 'Gushat, she broke the other kid's arm. Get your head in the game.'
'But that's impossible!' Gustav argued, crossing his arms over his chest. 'Sunni wouldn't do that-'
'Well, I'm sorry to disappoint, but your "perfect little peanut" is not as "perfect" as you deem her to be,' Snotlout scoffed, before glancing behind him. And there the culprit was, little Sunniva Larson, sitting on one of the engraved benches the Great Hall sported, her feet not even reaching the ground. Four years old and already breaking arms - Gustav didn't really know if he should be proud, like a cool dad, or upset, like he probably was supposed to be.
'She's been asking for Siri.' Snotlout lowered his voice, nodding his head towards his young niece. 'I'm guessing she's still-'
'Bedridden? Oh, yeah, you guessed completely right.'
Snotlout's face pulled in disdain, before stepping aside. 'Go talk some sense into that kid, I'll go talk to Seer. Don't screw it up, brother.'
With that, the older man slapped his shoulder - in a friendly way, but by Odin did it hurt - and trotted out of the Great Hall. Taking a deep breath, clearing his head of all the thoughts circling in his head, Gustav made his way over to his young daughter.
He and his wife Siri, who currently held the cute nickname of "little miss Larson", which he kinda adored, only had one child in their home, which made him love Sunniva even more. Even now, with a bruise on her cheek and fiddling her tiny hands, Gustav adored the girl.
He sat down next to her, tapping his fingers on the wooden bench. The Gods knew Siri was a lot better at this, he was proud to admit it. She had a lot more tact and tenderness than him.
'So...' he breathed out, glancing down at little Sunniva. 'Heard ya got into a fight. Did you win?'
Sunniva shook her head. Her little lip started trembling. 'No.'
Gustav couldn't help but grit his teeth together - okay, now he needed to find out what happened. People would probably call him nosy for it, but he knew his kid. She wouldn't cry over a lost fight.
'M'kay, no problem, I lost a lot of fights too as a kid - still do. Have you ever seen me and uncle Snotty fight? It's a bloodbath, baby- wait, sorry. What happened?' Gustav backtracked, quickly realising his daughter was shrinking into herself at every word of his story.
Sunniva shrugged. 'M'nothing. This girl called Brenna just said somethin' mean.'
'Well, what did she say?'
'She...' Sunniva held still for a moment. She brought her little hand up to wipe her eyes dry, but before she could do so, she let out a little sob.
Oh shit. Oooh, shit. Gustav quickly pulled the girl into his arms, letting her hold onto him as tightly as she wanted. Sunniva immediately burried her face into his neck, letting out little hiccups of sadness as she cried her young heart out.
'Okay, okayyy, we got it, we got it!' the young father - young? He was like thirty-three - tried to calm his kid down, rocking her in his arms. 'Can we do anything? You know I can't beat them up, but-'
'She said you and momma don't love me!' Sunniva bursted out, her sobs worsening and worsening. 'Cuz momma never picks me up from school anymore! And because you're sad all the time! And because you want another baby!'
Oh.
Oooooh.
It suddenly became very clear in Gustav's head and honestly? Hearing that, a bit painful. He felt his heart crunch at the weight of his daughter's words.
'Hey, hey, peanut, that's not true,' he quickly said, gently cradling Sunniva's little cheeks so she was looking at him. 'That's certainly not true! We love you very much! More than anything!'
But that wasn't the only thing Sunniva had said, and with wide, tearful eyes, she was clearly awaiting her other answers. Gustav sucked in some air to give himself some courage.
Why was talking to his young child scaruer than facing off against a deranged maniac?
'And, um... There's a reason for those... Other things. Well, momma can't pick you up from school cuz... She's sick. Just a little!' he quickly said, already dreading the panic he could accidentally cause his little girl with those words. 'And she needs her rest!'
'Why... But why?' Sunniva asked, wiping a trail of snot from her little nose. Typical child style.
Gustav bit the inside of his cheek for a moment - that hurt - as he tried to think of something to say. 'Well... Remember when momma was having a baby and then suddenly not? That wasn't because we don't love you, we just love you so much, we thought you deserved a baby sibling! But... Things went kinda wrong, and that isn't happening now. And momma needs to rest from that, plus... We're kinda sad about it.'
Oh, how he hoped he hadn't screwed this up. That would be very, very bad.
Sunniva sniffled. 'So you do love me?'
Gustav grinned slightly, booping her nose. 'Doubting your amazing dad?'
'No,' Sunniva giggled slightly - before her face fell. 'I'm sorry for breaking Brenna's arm, daddy.'
Gustav shrugged. 'It's okay, she deserved that. Don't tell your momma I said that.'
'I won't.' The little girl shook her head seriously.
'Good peanut. Now, um... No desert for you tonight? Cuz you broke a girl's arm.'
Sunniva gasped, her eyes widening in utter fear. 'You wouldn't dare.'
Gustav nodded, putting the girl back on the ground and getting up. 'Oh, yeah, I would! Cuz I'm not only a cool dad, I'm also a responsible dad. It took me over thirty years, but I've finally done it-'
'I wish I would've asked for momma more-'
'Sunniva!' Gustav gasped. 'I'm offended!'
However, as she giggled, he really couldn't be that offended. Maybe, despite looking exactly like his wife, Sunniva had some of his traits too - like being impulsive. He didn't really know if that was a good thing, but he loved her for it. He couldn't do anything else.
And for next time, he would try teach her how to win a fight.
@rosiethedragongeek for the tags! Did we miss Sunni? Oh yes we did.
Also i imagine Siri being very much panicked when hearing this news cuz "oh no that's my baby-". She's a very concerned mom and we love that for her

Do Randvi!
How I feel about this character
Tumblr media
I unabashedly and without shame adore Randvi. I will simp for Randvi until the end of time. Randvi could murder me and I’d go down singing her praises. I’m an absolute fucking sucker for stoic, honor driven characters to begin with. Wrap that up in a nice neat package of a sapphic woman pining for a forbidden lady love and I’m gonna buy all the merch (seriously, MAKE ME SOME FUCKING RANDVI MERCH).
Randvi is so quiet and careful in her desire, her pain, her suffering. She will sacrifice quietly and expect nothing in return, not even to be noticed. Staunch and stoic indeed.
Give me more of That Good Shit (TM).
All the people I ship romantically with this character
Eivor. That’s it. I never particularly shipped her with Sigurd because I got the impression right away that she wasn’t like... super thrilled with her husband. (I mean, look at the way her whole expression darkens when Eivor asks if Sigurd is back yet. That’s not happiness.)
Low-key I can see her in OT3s involving Eivor. Birna and Petra are my main targets for this.
I don’t ship her romantically with them, but I do think Randvi enjoys a little eye candy in the shape of Rollo and Vili.
My non-romantic OTP for this character
I don’t have any ONE person that I think is Randvi’s #1 Go To.
Okay that’s a lie, I do, but she’s like... 80% an OC at this point. And that is her sister Thora (mentioned in canon only in a letter you can find in the upstairs bedroom in the Fornburg Longhouse). So that crosses very heavily over into headcanon, but I think Randvi is extremely close to her sister and trusts her with things she would never trust anyone else with.
Within explicit canon, I think Randvi is close to Sunniva and Norvid, and not just in a professional sort of way. She trusts them.
I think she develops a very close relationship with Hytham, as he is one of the few who really understands and respects what she does for Ravensthorpe. (Eivor respects it, but I don’t think she really understands it.)
And she, obviously, becomes very attached to Coelbert. ;__;
My unpopular opinion about this character
Oooo, I don’t know if I have an unpopular one. Hold on, let me scrape the barrel here.
Well, I guess I can borrow from above for this, really.  No idea if this is actually unpopular, but it is something I have not seen anyone else discuss within the ship tag.
While I do think Eivor and Randvi are 100% Besties, I do not think Eivor is Randvi’s explicit #1 Bestie. I feel like Randvi is honestly one of the most emotionally healthy characters in the game, and she knows how to diversify her support system. Not to mention that Eivor is also gone a lot, so she cannot really just depend on Eivor. Plus, I think she is aware that leaning that hard on Eivor would not ultimately be very good for Eivor, as Eivor already tries to carry the whole ass world on her shoulders.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon
I wish she could have divorced Sigurd earlier (I fix this in my fic, The Saga of the Wolf-Kissed, btw). I understand that Hordafylke is where Sigurd finally gets his goddamn sanity back and thus has the sense to realize where things are at but... Randvi did not need that to get a divorce. Randvi has literally TONS of grounds to pursue a divorce with Sigurd - not least of which would be his continued spousal abandonment, even before they arrived in England. The Norse actually made divorce a pretty easy process, and couples were allowed to part for pretty much whatever reasons they wanted, really. Especially when there was no issue of children.
I do not see why she could not have divorced him earlier in the game, other than the fact that Video Games seem extremely opposed to writing *actual* romantic relationships. (Think about it, they almost all do their romance sub-plots like a Disney film. It it 100% about getting the girl, and almost never at all about keeping the girl. I want to go on dates AFTER I’ve got the relationship, god damnit!)
Also I wish she would let us get it on in private just like... idk, 1 time. Seriously, Randvi.

What They Would Be Famous For: Considering that he’s already a fairly famous Pro Hero in the BNHA Universe that he was created it, I’d say thatWhat They Would Get Arrested For: Sneaking into ramen shops at 3 amOC You Ship Them With: @ziedrak‘s oc Zamire. But also Azalea (Who I don’t really have a solid background on as much yet.OC Most Likely To Murder Them: I don’t think I’ve got one that would murder him??Favorite Movie/Book Genre: Comics primarily as far as books are concerned. Talents and/or Powers: His quirk is Drawing, he’s able to bring anything drawn to lifeWhy Someone Might Love Them: He’s an absolute sweetheart that really helps students cultivate their own quirks more creatively. He’s also relatable in loving Ramen. He also has a bit of a tragic backstory involving parents that just didnt care and having to make a name for himself and rising above things. Why Someone Might Hate Them: He second guesses himself a lot which can lead to frustration when it comes to interpersonal relationships and even within himselfHow They Change: Believe it or not, but he was a very quiet teenager and until he met Kanae, his mom at this point, he really didn’t know how to express himself and allowed people to take advantage of him because he would try to get people to like him. Once he got into UA and by the time he graduated, he was more assured in himself. Why You Love Them: I love him because he does try his absolute best to be a good role model, but he’s also relatable in the way that he’d rather not show his face out in public unless he absolutely has to LMAO

Can I please please please see the Snotlout/Siri interaction from the Sunni fic you posted I really really wanna see it omg
Omg yeah ofc!! Sorry this took so long, i haven't really been able to get into the writing mindset until this evening, which is probably why this isn't as perfect as i wanted it to be lmao
Anyways i love Snotlout and Siri as a siblings in law duo. They're surprisingly soft and Snotlout would vibe pretty well with her once they're both grown ups. And also with Sunni cuz Sunni is just attached to her half uncle lmao
'Hey, Siri. Siri. Seer. Siri-'
Siri Larson let out a protesting noise, swatting away the hand shaking her shoulder. Barely even awake, she cracked open an eye to see her brother-in-law, Snotlout Jorgenson, standing right at the side of her bed.
'Sorry to wake you,' the dark-haired man grinned sheepishly as Siri pushed herself up. A yawn left her when she shook her head, trying to rub sleep out of her eyes.
'I-it's okay,' the woman muttered, placing a hand onto her lower abdomen and adding some pressure to lower a throbbing pain inside there. 'I-I've been sleeping long enough anyways...'
A sudden blast of reality hit her when she glanced at Snotlout - confusion washed over her. 'W-why are you in my house, Snotlout? Did something happen? O-oh, no, did Gustav do something stupid again?'
'Nope, but ya daughter did,' Snotlout quickly followed up, sending some nervous fingerguns her way. Siri's eyes widened. 'What?'
'Let's just say, for quite some time I thought Sunni would take after you, but clearly she's been around our dearest Gushat for far too long and has become feral,' Snotlout explained, trying to find the right words. However, as he looked into his sister-in-law's concerned eyes, he slipped closed. 'Um... So what happened was... Sunni broke another girl's arm?'
Siri's face drained white. Her heart skipped a beat. 'She- s-she did what?! S-Snotlout, s-she is four years old, h-how did she- did you leave her alone?!'
'Relax, sister, your hubby is with her,' Snotlout quickly assured her, a nervous feeling bubbling in his stomach. It took a lot to get Siri this worried, he had been aware of that for quite some time. 'He was gonna-'
'H-help me out of bed. Now.' The demanding tone in Siri's voice made Snotlout halt his words. He stared at her in disbelief for a moment. 'Siri, aren't you supposed to stay-'
Siri send him an annoyed glare. 'Help me up, Snotlout. O-or I'll do it myself.'
'Yes ma'am!' Snotlout gulped, quickly helping Siri slide herself off the bed, letting her lean against his shoulder as much as she needed too. She winced a bit in the pain just a simple walk was causing her, but Snotlout saw her bite her lip and pull through.
Well, he thought as he carried her towards the Great Hall, good to know she could be scary like the rest of the Hoffersons. He was glad he wasn't related to the girl whose arm Sunniva broke; once Siri would find out what had pushed her daughter to do what she had done, oh...
He would have a lot of explaining to Hiccup and Astrid to do later.
Siri being angry is a very vibe!! She's a concerned momma and we love that for her. Also i should really make like
A post about my personal take on the next gen cuz that would be really cool. Im just still not certain on what ships or if i wanna make Snotlout a single dad cuz i feel like that would be really cute <3
