All right, so I think about… three days ago, Beyburst officially ended. And I’mma be a bit nitpicky, so if you’re not feeling it, don’t read this! I’m also mostly going to be talking about the Turbo characters. xD

So, first of all, I’m happy that we actually got to see some of the gangs from the first three seasons! :Dc It’s a lot better than not getting to see them, after all, and it’s nice to know that at least for a few frames, they were let out of the beysment. (Pun’s a courtesy of one of my best friends, Dani-Phantom. She’s got amazing stories on Wattpad if anyone wants to read, by the way!)

But now I’m gonna get into what I don’t really like. XD

Okay, so it definitely makes sense that the past characters weren’t given redesigns or more screentime—this is the ending episode, so why would they be? The importance wasn’t on them anymore. But from a story perspective, I just… really don’t like how it looks like time stood still for them even though YEARS have passed. And also, it makes me sad that it seems like Hyde hasn’t gotten Hades back seeing as he’s still lost his throne to Phi and just has a stepstool. ):

Overall, it just didn’t feel satisfactory for me. I’m most interested in Turbo, which as we all know, was a majorly flawed season with good characters, so what bothers me the most is that most characters’ arcs weren’t exactly resolved, or we weren’t given enough screentime to SEE that they were, and then we never got another season to see them again.

Fubuki, for example, just up and left for nine episodes, and when we saw him again, we just got a flashback telling us that he realized he stopped having fun blading and that was what was dragging him down. We didn’t get to see exactly how he felt about his friend/co-captain betraying him, we just got little snippets that implied how he felt.

Suoh’s arc was also left unfinished, because after the cruise, he didn’t get enough screentime for us to see how he’d improved upon himself. He just stayed the same… and yet he and Fubuki somehow became friends again. Things happening off-screen don’t count. Dx

(I’m also frustrated that we didn’t get to see Toko have an arc, either, when he could have had a great one. Toko’s thing is that he tries being like other people he perceives as strong to BE strong, but he doesn’t realize that he just needs to be himself. That realization is supposedly what gets Treptune to resonate with him, and for Fubuki to pass on the title of Beigoma Academy Bey Club Captain to him, but do we see how he came to that realization? Nope!)

The ending of Beyburst didn’t feel satisfactory for me because not everyone got their stuff resolved, but it feels like the show is trying to act like they did. And also, I feel like the past/not focused-on characters have been done dirty by them only getting what are basically screenshots.

Since I have an oc tag, I figured I should at least try to start posting them here. I’m more active on insta so I’m always forgetting! Anyway, here’s some info on the characters here. This comic is during high school for the two of them, but their main story (titled Fatal Attraction for now) takes place in their early 20s.

Sumiye Honda

A prodigal detective who solved the murder of her parents when young, leading to her being taken under and used by the police. Currently attends school, but is often absent thanks to her cases. Due to her notoriety and general untouchable air, she’s gathered a lot of rumors about her.

Dresses somewhat sloppily, never seen without her jacket worn improperly. Despite being one of the best students, she tends to look more like a delinquent.

The smartest person in the room and makes you know it. This attitude garners a lot of annoyance, and even more so when she’s completely right. Also charming enough to make you forget she’s kinda an asshole.

Doesn’t actually interact with anyone outside of Kaori, considering it a waste of time.

Took an interest in Kaori after noticing how talented she really was. Fell hard for Kaori after getting to know how sweet she is , but doesn’t understand why she doesn’t take advantage of any of her skills.

While Sumiye is actually involved with a rich girl overseas, they’re not dating at all. She just happens to be a high profile informant.

Kaori Minami

A regular high school student. Secretly something of a prodigy herself—having a gift for coding and technology—but keeps to herself. She’s tried to keep eyes off of her as much as possible, but now that Sumiye’s taken an interest in her, it’s been nearly impossible.

Emphasizes with Sumiye being talented and not really having a life outside of that, but doesn’t really understand why she’s the way she is towards others or why she’s okay with everything people say.

Also doesn’t understand why Sumiye’s so adamant about spending time with her, considering she failed to get Kaori to be her academic rival the first time they formally met

Demisexual, genuinely has not developed feelings for Sumiye at this point, but gets easily flustered by her advances. This is a mix of her being in denial about Sumiye flirting with her and her not knowing what to do with the concept of romance anyway. Sumiye’s just like that, right?

Also doesn’t really consider herself “worthy” of getting involved with someone like Sumiye. Not only does she not really want the attention, she figures the girl has better options outside their high school. Ex: the rumored rich girl overseas.

Anyway, they’re silly. It takes them years to actually get together. This is just the weird period where Sumiye is no longer interested in Kaori for her skills alone and is head over heels but Kaori has not realized what the hell is going on.

Back with the "Beyblade Burst God AU x Epic: The Musical" Work Doodle Crossover!

Yes I'm aware that it's an uber long name, but I don't have anything else!

Up next is "Ruthlessness"!

I chose Fubuki, mostly because he’s the God of the Sea and is basically my version of Poseidon. There are probably a couple other gods that could easily sing this song, but Fubuki is honestly perfect. He’s the God of the Sea, and it’s been established that he’s a bit of a hothead. In Episode 2 of Turbo, he was ready to whoop Aiger’s ass for beating out nearly the entirety of the Beigoma Academy Bey Club. And in Episode 3, he was all but willing to teach Ranjiro a lesson just for interrupting club practice. So I’d like to think that if someone were to harm something he views as his child, he’d be more than ready to throw hands (or toss a few boats).

See you guys in the next Work Doodle! I hope you guys are excited for the Doodles to come, because I have big plans!

This is the fake scene I mentioned when I posted a fake screenshot of it! :D

I still think it’s super dumb for the kids not to have been angry/disappointed with Aiger for breaking Valtryek.

Literally, Phi breaks Fafnir, and Valt screams for Free to get out of Phoenix’s attack, and then immediately rushes down to reprimand Phi and challenge him. But ohhh nooooo, Aiger gets away with BREAKING. THE WORLD CHAMPION’S. BEYBLADE.

At the very, VERY least, Toko and Nika should have been upset with him! He broke their big brother’s Bey! Nika literally started crying when it happened! Toko tried not to cry! How are you supposed to still be all buddy buddy with someone when they harmed your family member so badly, and haven’t even apologized for it?

Aiger did face repercussions for his corruption through his bond with Achilles weakening, but he didn’t face any repercussions from his friends, which he logically SHOULD HAVE.

Seriously, if I were his friends (OR LITERALLY EVEN JUST AN AUDIENCE MEMBER, you know Valt has to have fans that should’ve been angry with Aiger), I would be so mad at him.
