Thank you for giving an 8-year-old hope and ambition. Rest in peace, Yoshitaka Murayama.

Was made really sad to hear of Yoshitaka Murayama's passing. Suikoden was a series I loved as a teenager and I'm very much looking forward to Eiyuden Chronicle. RIP

“Even At His Most Powerless, Man’s Existence Is Never Without Meaning.”
Devastated to hear Murayama-san has passed away. He and his team created worlds and characters that were engrossing and inspirational and which I will forever have etched upon my heart. For me, personally, it was a relief to lose myself in a world where groups of people so different from one another would come together to rise up against corruption and injustice. People from all walks of life…from narcissistic nobles and mysterious mages to gossipy old ladies and washerwomen with throwing knives, it proved that anyone could take a stand, no matter who.
Stories about family and friends being estranged by life’s twists and turns, and different races of people overcoming their prejudices and letting their joint desire for good prevailing over evil unite them, the solitude of the human condition and the loneliness faced by the immortal true rune bearers, so many touching themes that helped give you hope in a world that all-too-often seems cruel and hopeless.
Thank you Murayama, for everything 💖

Murayama's Suikoden game made me a gamer and likes RPGs to this day. I also learned a lot about drawing from Suikoden. Suikoden means a lot in my life lessons.
I'm looking forward to Suikoden's successor, Eiyuden, this April, and this is my first time taking part in a Kickstarter to support Murayama's project. Sadly, he passed away before the game was released.
Rest in Peace Murayama-san 😭
