Inktober 30 - Fire

Gothic heroine tip #24: If you're going to develop pyrokinesis, work on levitating at the same time. If for no other reason than to avoid sanding burn marks off the floor.

Inktober 25 - Dangerous

I'd like to say that the choice of this time period had something to do with Dangerous Liaisons, but to be honest, I've always thought the idea of someone smuggling weapons into court by hiding them under a court dress was cool, so, 1750s it was. Sadly, trying to draw five figures slowed me up considerably and I am posting this a few days late. Poses are all @adorkastock.

Inktober 15- Dagger

Trying to think of something for this prompt, I found myself muttering, "Dagger, dagger, dagger." to myself. Which naturally made me think of Vax'ildan. We must assume he's already thrown two daggers at this point.

Inktober 20 - Frost

Whose woods these are I think I know.

Tried to make a Robert Frost poem creepy. That said, from reading some of his other poems I feel like if he met an old god in the woods he would probably do something stupid. Then again, the woods might just decide to keep him.

Inktober 22 - Scratchy

Gothic heroine tip #20: If you find yourself infected with lycanthropy, do not wear your best dresses during the full moon.

As a bonus, in the loosest sense of the word, this was drawn entirely with an XS pen and a 0.05m pen. Making it even scratchier than my usual scratchy style. Well, I say "entirely", I signed it with an S.

Inktober 5- Map

It takes a year to raise a sheep to be used for vellum. Sixteen days to prepare a sheet of vellum. Upwards of a decade can be spent mapping an area, and upwards of a month to illustrate said map. And it takes about seven seconds for some idiot to stick a sword in it.

Inktober 14- Castle

My thought in drawing this was that I was drawing Castle Sarafin from Damsels II, but I changed very little from the reference picture of Corvin Castle in Romania. Which shows up in the image search if you search for Bran Castle, which I thought I was drawing until just now when I looked at a different picture and said, "That is fully a different castle." I'm just going to say, uhh... I changed the bridge to be more like what I wrote in the book, so this is Castle Sarafin. A totally fictional castle."

Inktober 24 - Shallow

If you're pretty enough, you can just. Decide not to be dead. I'm pretty sure. Just ask for a shallow grave to be on the safe side.

Gothic heroine tip #21: If your fiancé dies before the marriage, for whatever reason, don't skimp on the funeral services. Graves are supposed to be six feet deep for a reason.

Inktober 17- Demon

When I was in middle school, one of my favourite things to draw was demons. It was a perfect intersection of creative and dark for a budding edgelady. This is a redraw of the first of those demons, twenty-three years later. Original under cut.

The first thing my brother mentioned about this demon is that she's topless. You try putting on a shirt with six wings, four arms, and two-foot wide horns. And if the first thing you see when someone is holding a sword and a spear is that they're topless, you're going to get stabbed.
