We’re back! Nerdy Prudes Must Die is the next installment in the Hatchetfield series. This teen-slasher comedy takes us to the hallowed halls of Hatchetfield High, where we’ll follow a group of geeks and their ghostly tormentors.  

When the biggest losers at Hatchetfield High unwittingly complete an ancient, evil ritual, they unleash an all- powerful, angry spirit with a grudge against nerds. That’s when Stephanie Lauter, Grace Chasity, and a cast of social rejects must fight to save themselves and nerdy prudes everywhere. But can any of them survive the fury of a bully from beyond the grave?

Nerdy Prudes Must Die is set to premiere at the El Portal Theatre in North Hollywood, CA - running February 16-25, 2023!

Reading this, it seems to me they are still finetuning some details and are not ready to launch a Kickstarter in August, instead opting for a Fall announcement. Because otherwise, what would be the point of a sign-up mailing list if you are announcing it all a day after. So my guess is we'll get some more teases throughout September, and then we'll get a Kickstarter with the announcement of 3 (yes three!) projects later on.

As for what those three projects are, one of them is definitely Nerdy Prudes Must Die. A second one might be Workin' Boys, but I'm still not sure how much of a 'new thing' this is, or if StarKid considers this an already announced thing.

Note the return of the hexagons (Nightmare Time Season 3?) and a lot of space references and emoji use. So I'm really hoping for another tour (like the SPACE Tour 2.0) or perhaps an on-stage version of Starship: Requiem? (No that last one is definitely not it.)

Ive been awoken by my period so decided to watch the trailer and my thoughts are thus:

1) Does this mean Curt is now Pete?

2) ghosts ghosts ghosts

3) 'When the biggest loser's at Hatchetfield High are being hunted by an angry spirit who hates nerds Grace Chastity and Stephanie Lauter must fight to save the school' is in the video descriptin. Very curious to see where this goes

wait quick question: is the signup thing on the starkidreturns page is just to get emailed abt the projects? bc i thought it signed you up for the kickstarter (and you have to pay for kickstarter right) also sorry if this seems like a dumb question lol im just clueless when it comes to these things -poe

Yea signing up with your email just gets you updates. I don't think they're opening the Kickstarter till they unlock the first lock on that page
