This new episode reminded me so much of racing video games and now I’m thinking about Dad Tech teaching his kids how to play those games and then playing with them! They would all be racing each other sat in front of the tv 😭 Tech would be so competitive he would never let them win 😭😂

Y e s Dad!Tech is coming back full force and I absolutely love it. I miss taking about the Dad Batch.

He would just be such a good papa and yes racing games would be a weekly weekend event.🥺❤️And then when they got older he’d show them the real thing, teach them how to work on speeders and other vehicles and take them to the real races.❤️

“Daddy,” Asher cooed as he was transferred over and received by Crosshair’s eager arms. Crosshair cuddled his son with immediacy, cradling Asher’s head to his chest.

“Hi,” he said softly, relishing the feel of his small head underneath his fingers as Asher burrowed in. “Have fun at school, did you?”

Hunter letting his gorls style his hair 🥹

the older ones learn how to do really cool and intricate braids and buns and other styles 😍 Hunter really loves all the styles they do and especially in the heat of the summer he actually goes to them to ask him to do some cool braids or something. His girls are so excited! They learn to do the hairstyles on themselves so they can matchy match with their Papa

The younger ones can really only pull and tug (which papa hunter somehow tolerates through clenched teeth) and haphazardly put their butterfly and flower clips in 😂 they also twirl his hair around their little fingers so tightly and aggressively that he basically has dreadlocks that take a loonngg time to brush out. It’s a good thing he and Cyare are patient 😂🥰

This made me smile so big.🥺😍And it is entirely accurate.

The older girlies are very good with their hair (and Papa’s) because they made Ba’vodu Crosshair practice on them and once they were old enough, show them how to style it themselves.🥰

The little ones just go to town on their very forbearing Papa. XD

Believe it or not Papa Hunter is pretty poor at hair despite having an upwards of a dozen daughters. XDD I mean he can do itty bitty braids when they’re toddlers, but nothing beyond that lmao.

He comes back to Cyare at the end of the day looking more than a little disheveled. XD She gives him a patient smile and gets to work combing out the tangles.

It’s kind of fruitless though because she ends up doing her own fair amount of pulling later that night.😏😂

Jude, sniffling: 🥺…ok *takes lollipop*

Are Hunter’s girls scared of Keidala? 😂 not so much in a way where they don’t like her and Keida gets left out, but more that they know her personality and are scared of being on the bad side of it. Plus I feel like Keida has very…interesting ways of playing (cut to Keida putting Barbies in a play oven and making the toy cars crash into a hospital) Let’s just say…arts and crafts are a one and done activity that they try one day….

But I also feel like they look up to Keida because of her confidence and that she’s very smart

They definitely don’t want to be on the bad side of it. And they never really are. That side of Keidala is reserved for outsiders who screw around with her peeps.😂(The Bad Batch kiddos will tell cousin Keida about it before they’ll tell their parents. She’ll take care of it.😂)

She definitely has interesting ways of playing. In ways her cousins never thought of. Although she can’t really sit still to engage in “normal” interactive play, with her ADHD; she constantly is moving around seeing what her Uncles and cousins are all up to and picking up a thing or two. She wants to be all up in everyone’s business. XD

She’s insanely smart. She likes learning new things from her folks and wants to know everything. Her little mind (and hands XD) constantly has to be at work. She is the math whiz of the bunch and is Asher’s spotter when he gets his crossbow. She gets her attention to detail from her pops. She does public speaking on a competitive level when she’s a bit older (good way for Crosshair and Dee to put her ~colorful~ vocabulary and argumentative skills to good use😂). Needless to say, the Hunter Junior girls are very in awe of the confidence she exudes. Even though most of them are older than her. They all really look up to her.

How does Keidala react to being a big sister? And Asher a big brother again?

At first she screams injustice but then when the baby gets here she has already gone through the five stages of grief and is ready to lend a helping (not so helpful) hand. XDD She’s a pretty good big sister. It kind of settles her down a bit. Just a little. She gets soft for baby Jude. <3

But at large, she sees this as a window of opportunity to rear a new member of chaos. XD

Asher is the best big brother even though he is a teenager at that point lol he has no qualms about jumping right in to help. Asher my beloved. :’) He’s actually stoked about having a little bro.

Ahem…Hunter dealing with his Huntlings no longer being -lings but instead being TEENAGERS and oh boy…Hunter and Cyare are presented with another difficulty of parenting 😂

Hunter’s girls get home from school and slam their doors shut and he’s just like 👀

He makes them their favorite comfort snack (I know in a past post you said Hunter has his recipes for his girls for any type of mood they’re in) and leaves it in front of their door with a quiet knock. He then sits in his Dad Chair going in and out of sleep watching tv until they are ready to come out and talk to him and Cyare ❤️ those two know what to say to make their daughters feel better :)

Okay geez sorry I am a slice of moldy bread and take forever to respond but yes 1000%. Hunter definitely has his hands full with teenagers but certainly no amount of brooding can amount to Crosshair. XD Hunter and Cyare are such good parents.

Baby Omega calling Echo at work! (short story, Modern AU)

Bc @sskim-milkk is hormonal, and I’m hella sick on vacation. Enjoy! ❤️​

Echo sighed, spitefully eying the stack of papers, yet to be granted with his attention. It was a long day, and an even longer week. Veterans day came up faster than he could prepare for and soldiers, previously fighting in war, now longed to be reunited with their families. All fun and games, and totally within Echo’s realm of understanding and support. Sadly enough, that meant about ten times more work than usual. Even though Echo only worked part time in the vet center, what a colleague would he be to clock out in time and basically let them drown in work all alone?  

His family’s repetitive calls weren’t of much help. First Wrecker, annoying him to shreds with the totally unnecessary question of what to order for dinner. Then, as Echo gave his answer and hung up to finally finish up some more work he had to leave as leftovers for tomorrow anyway, Tech and Crosshair made an attempt to convince him of something else. Echo huffed, cursing through the phone and smashing it back down on the hilt.

Echo managed to get neck deep into a financial aid application form for another soldier as the phone rang again. He cautiously eyed the dial display… Of course!

“Hunter. I swear, you guys do realize the more often you call, the longer it takes me to come home-“

“Adadah” Omega’s voice chimed through the phone, immediately turning Echo’s frown into a soft smile.

“Omega-“ Echo called out, previous rage almost forgotten. “How’s my sweetheart doing?”

“Ahhhda- bsssssss” Omega blew some raspberries into the speaker, breaking out into hysterical giggles afterward. “Dadah-“ she breathed into the phone, no doubt drooling all over the precious screen.

“Yes, sweety- Do you recognize my voice, mh?” Echo cooed. Their daughter had begun saying the word dada about two weeks earlier. Many attempts at getting her to repeat even more words miserably failed. “Do your silly buire treat you well? I’ve heard Crosshair say you had a little run in with the cabinet door?”

“Dada-“ Omega babbled back, putting in her best efforts to breathe into the speakerphone.

Echo sighed. Yeah, this wouldn’t be the most fruitful conversation…

“Hey mate!” Hunter’s voice erupted from the other end. A shift of fabric indicated for her to be put down. “There- go to Tech, verd'ika-“ Hunter beckoned, no doubt leading her over for someone else to watch. “Sorry- thought you might want to hear her voice-“ Hunter stated, making Echo regret he ever confessed to missing Omega when leaving the house in the morning. “You coming home soon?”

“Just one more form- promise-“ Echo gave back, appreciating the concerned check-in far more than the stupid attempts to waste his time from the others.

“Care for us to pick you up?” Hunter offered. “I’ll get her strapped in and ready in no time-“

“Yeah- why not. Thanks.” Echo sighed a breath of relief. In the office, the ac went on full blast. On the bus ride on the way home, however, it would not. Independence had its costs. Sweaty-knees-rubbing-together, and nostrils-filled-with-hot-air kind of costs, that was.  

“Sorry for holding you up- just think you needed it.” Hunter sheepishly mumbled. “We’ll be on our way.”

“Thanks, mate- besides, Omega can call at any time.”
