Prabodhani Ekadashi's significance

Lord Brahma initially told Narada the story of Prabodhini Ekadashi. The explanation for this story in the Skanda Purana is clear. Lord Brahma initially told Narada the story of Prabodhini Ekadashi. The Skanda Purana provides a thorough explanation of this narrative.

However, this Ekadashi is particularly important to Hindus because it heralds the start of auspicious celebrations like weddings, Grah Pravesh, and other events. As a result, Swaminarayan devotees conduct a waterless fast and present the gods with fresh vegetables.

I sort of like the thought that Zuko and Aang take the Sun Warriors' warning not to tell anyone about the dragons a little more seriously… and they keep it between them. Of course, they trust Sokka, Toph and Katara. Of course they know they wouldn’t tell anyone, but now three people (including Iroh) know the truth about Ran and Shaw. And that’s three too many when you’re trying to keep a secret.

(and there are other people at the temple as well - like Haru, Teo and The Duke - who, while trustworthy, aren’t as close to them as the others, and when it comes to secrets with as much consequence as this one, you can’t afford to take any chances.)

Furthermore, the culture within the Fire Nation since Sozin’s rein has been warped. The culture is not to respect the dragons as the original firebenders, it’s to conquer and kill them. It’s the ultimate proof of your strength as a firebender. All it takes is one mistake before rumour spreads, and people go looking for the ultimate hunt. It’s not something Zuko or Aang can risk.

Whether Katara, Toph and Sokka (and Suki) ever find out the truth is up to you. But post-war, after Zuko returns from a strange, poorly explained trip with a dragon, and eventually develops the ability to use rainbow fire, either the others have some questions about Aang’s knowing look, or they are finally let in on a monumental secret.

i complain a lot about people on here not knowing anything about natives which would be sort of whatever and like on some level i can even understand it but where it becomes an issue to me is how people with little to no knowledge of natives and most issues we face decide to pretend they care every once in a blue moon and end up reinventing the noble savage stereotype in a performative attempt at "allyship"

What makes a villain a villain for you? Idk very broad question no wrong answers to it

I tend to conflate "villain" and "antagonist" - or at least antagonistic, if they're a main character like Charm is haha - someone who impedes others, who seeks to do harm, who is in some way uncontrollable and therefore dangerous. I also tend to like villains that have someone or something to rage against, very Megamind haha - "If there's bad, good will rise up against it."

Villains can be as complex or simplistic as you like, which is very fun! Some villains like to be evil for funsies! Some are tortured! Some don't realize that what they're doing is harmful! Yves is great example of a BBEG who has only good intentions imo (and coincidentally, is also modeled after my own ADHD lol, I have something of a soft spot for dysregulated villains haha)

One of my favourite aspects of the True Villainy AU, and kind of Just Desserts S2 as a whole, is how different types of villains look and move in that world - Charm was seduced by thoughts of revenge that stemmed from loneliness and bitterness, where Kaiein is a manipulative asshole who gets his kicks from causing chaos from the sidelines. Their motivations are very different, but they both do harm, and are both stopped! Villains ✨

#Villains have a lot of wiggle room for what makes them villains I think :) #And there's certainly more shades of grey to explore than the fairly black-and-white villains that I tend to like lol #Charm is pretty black and white - she's a villain until she isn't #It's still hard for her because she ''learned'' all these maladjusted behaviours to get through her life but she keeps trying! #Kaiein is very black and white - literally lol - he's a villain for funsies and has to be defeated rather than recovered #And Yves is quite black and white as well! He doesn't really consider the harm that he does until it's too late! And he still doesn't stop! #I think just about any antagonist Can be a villain depending on the framing - including those trying to stop my villains here #The JD Residents are villains for causing Charm mental anguish - that's why she seeks revenge in the first place! #And again they're the villains for taking away Kaiein's fun toy - you can tell I have little sympathy for him lol #The AGE crew are villains for trying to stop Yves from resurrecting his God and recreating the spiritual Cambrian explosion! #I think what makes a villain a villain is the harm they're willing to cause on the way to their goal #Anyone properly motivated can be twisted into the shape of a villain - what lengths are they willing to go to? Chhath Puja- The Divine Celebration Of Faith And Spirituality

The day of Chhath Puja begins exactly like any other pooja day when we bring home puja thali items. While we know the general rituals of Chhath Pooja, this article mainly focuses on detail. So, if you are an enthusiast, we recommend you read till the end. 

Chhath Puja Festivity Rituals Of Each Day

Day 1

The first day is popularly known as Nahay Khay which is the day of body purification. Parvaitin begins the devotion by taking a bath in holy water. After purifying the body and soul, they cook bottled gourd as well as rice along with split chickpeas. One can only use ghee and rock salt here. Furthermore, they can break their fast after eating this food. 

Day 2 

Being the second day of the joyous celebration, Kharna is the day of fasting the whole day. However, Parvatin can consume food only after sunset. Cooking prasad and taking immense care of it, is important. Moreover, for the preparation of prasad, one must only choose organic ingredients. People helping the worshipper for preparing prasad have to bathe and clean themselves. After sunset, the Parvaitin offers prasad to Chhath Maiyya. 

Day 3 

On Arghya day, the parvatin prepares special cookies called Thekua. This amazing Prasad has wheat flour, jaggery, ghee, and sugar in it. Additionally, rice laddoos, or “Kasaar” is made up of jaggery, ghee, and rice flour. In the evening, the Parvatin goes to the riverbank and offers Arghya to the evening sun. On this day, Parvatin performs parikrama by taking soop and other premium puja samagri in their hand. All rituals should be done facing the Sun.

Day 4 

Finally, this day marks the end of the Chhath festival. On this day, Parvatin offers Arghya to the rising Sun. On this day, worshippers seek blessings for more richness as well as prosperity. Further, they distribute thekua and other prasad to poor people. 

The main prasad of Chhath Puja includes two rice puddings along with ghee and pure milk. One rice pudding has jaggery while the other does not. Consuming Prasad and distributing it among all family members is highly auspicious. During the fast, the Parvatin has to take care of a lot of things. For instance, they can only sleep on the floor and their mind must be free from all distractions.
