I mean, that seems fair. Shisui's character at least dies in a flashback and is gone like that, while Itachi's character has much more happening because of the village/himself/Akatsuki. I can see why Spider!Shisui would want to avoid letting Itachi read that!

But also... Does Shisui ship NaruSasu by the end of the manga? 👀👀👀

Omg I NEED Shisui reacting to reading/watching his character-version death 🤣🤣🤣

I imagine he gets his hands on it eventually - Andrew!Peter has started a crusade to keep the series from him but Spiderman Japan/Supaidāman is morbidly interested in getting an 'insider' reaction - and starts from the very beginning and heckles Sasuke's emofest ("we're all dead?! Boooooo-") and Naruto's obnoxiousness. Kakashi in Shisui's spiderverse is much more like ANBU Hound, persona wise, so Kakashi-sensei would be a trip. by the time Shisui gets to his and Itachi's part, he's probably started hate-reading it lmao
