I am a little bit obsessed with Stormpetrel despite only seeing him one time, I would DIE to know all the tea about where he’s fathered kits and who the angry moms are (unless you don’t wanna spoil something that might be revealed in the comic)

Here’s Storm’s past romantic flings that resulted in kittens (or future kittens).

Stormpetrel’s a pretty minor character so nothing’s spoilery about his situation. He’s chronically allergic to commitment and enjoys romance outside of his own clan as an escape, but it’s something he can easily ignore in his own clan when he’s not in the mood, and helps him not have to deal with the hard work of a relationship/fatherhood. He also likes the concept of leaving an extensive legacy with relatively little work on his part. He’s running out of options due to his reputation though. Kits are raised communally so the distaste towards him is less because he doesn’t perform father duties and more because he refuses to acknowledge that these past/current relationships exist at all.

Maker's eyes have aged. A longing gaze stares through Sawbones, as if He has already accepted His fate.

"You do not crave power the way others do, Sawbones," He continues. "You do not lust for magic the way Enchanter does, nor are you burdened by it the way Marionette—the way Jameson is. You are free of its constraints, nor you do wish for it to lock you within them."

Maker strokes Sawbones's mask, thumb pressing down on the leather against his cheek. "It's why you are My Favorite. It's also why I did not line you up as My Apprentice."

"You knew?" Sawbones croaks. "You knew Enchanter would want to take it from you?"

"Of course," Maker says. "It's how I shaped him."

Sawbones sits on his haunches, fingers digging into Maker's thighs. If this was the way He planned it, if this was how He always imagined it to be, why did Maker lead him on?

Why did He allow Sawbones to think they had a chance?

“What were you thinking??”

“I’m fine-“

“You are not!”

Chase’s eyes burn from crying, still bloodshot and red in his cheeks and ears. Bruises cover his face and arms, and more are concealed by his dirt- covered, blood stained shirt.

He takes a puff from his cigarette, leaning against the wall for support. Soon the doctor’s voice becomes an echo, a simple background noise, no matter how loud he yells within the apartment stairwell.

“You fucking moron-”

Henrik screams in a fit of rage, ripping the cigarette from the hand of his friend and shoving him into the wall. Tobacco is in his breath, in the air, and burning on the ground beside the wall.

“Are you even listening to me?!”

The wind whispers under the door, carrying secrets through the clouds and the grass. Chase stares up at Henrik, eyes glazed over and exhausted. He is listening. Just not processing the words, is all. It’s just noise.

“What were you thinking, Chase? What were you thinking??”

More silence. More quiet. More whispering wind.

Henrik sighs, lowering his shoulders and taking a step back from his friend. His hands come up to his face and he runs them down, smelling the sickly sweet scent of tobacco still lingering in the air.

“You paid them to hit you?”

Chase looks down at his shoes, shoving his hands deep into his pockets. “...yeah,” he whispers back.

“Why?”

The father only shrugs, keeping his head low.

Again the doctor sighs, looking up toward the ceiling for a moment before back at his friend. “Come on.” he says, taking his friend’s arm and swinging it around his shoulder to help him up the stairs.

“H- Henrik please-“

“Stop it. Stop it now. You are dehydrated, you smell of alcohol, and you are bleeding. I am helping you.”

“But-“

“Hush! Focus on your step before you fall..”

Their shoes echo through as they walk, up, up, up every step. Every floor, holding onto every rail. They leave the cigarette behind to burn out, its flame hushed by the wind that creeps its way through the cracks to carry the smoke away.

oh boyyyy i haven’t thought much about this but i should!!!!!! on a side note it’s nearly five am here so if i’m making no sense that’s why 

jackie is not fully transitioned for several reasons, one being: jackie and marvin are not exactly rich. jackie doesn’t have a day job and marvin works as a children’s birthday party performer, which earns a bit considering marvin is very good but not enough for getting surgery and changing his name and going on t and blehhhhhh another reason is that he hates hospitals and doctors. he has a friend who i wrote into a fic once but i forgot his name because i barely mentioned him i’ll add it into the post later. (edit: his name was curro? not sure why. might change it.)

but anyway his friend had a medical degree but he didn’t do anything with it for many reasons that he never talks to jackie about, which jackie respects. at first jackie didn’t tell his friend that he was jackieboy man, but he found out when jackie came to his place bleeding out, not having been able to change his costume. his friend has begged jackie to go to hospital several times before, but he refuses. when he meets henrik he doesn’t really trust him at first, partially because of his hatred of doctors and partially because marvin doesn’t like him, but later henrik grows on him, mostly because they’re both nerds and like technology. marvin is very angry about this because he fuckig HATES henrik but we’ll talk about that later hjdfgjhdsgfhj

When Maker arrives home, Sawbones does not return with him.

He walks along the burnt ashes of the long-condemned building and digs His feet into the warped wood that snaps under his weight. What once was His proud Kingdom now lays to dust, as He had until the previous night.

It hurts, even now, to be apart from His Sawbones. Although they parted amicably at His grave, although He is aware His Favorite is safe, His soul longs for him. His body aches to connect with his, to gaze upon and slot perfectly against his once more.

Magic, while patient, is a tease, and its cruelty far outweighs its benefits. However, while this conundrum remains an issue, He must call upon it as Sawbones did these past few years and seek an answer to its misdeeds.

And when it is all over, when there is no one left to harm them again, He can return to His Favorite's side and return what He seeks, brushing the fear and doubt of these troubled times aside as it they were a mere dream. He will reunite with His Sawbones, and their passion will outweigh even a perfect night such as the last.

They will be reunited. They will never be stolen from each other again.
