Im mentally chewing on the fact it's now Commander Scorch on his own working for Hemlock.
Like it'd be really fucked up if the reason he stayed and the others either didn't (as in they took a path similar to the books and got out altogether, they're some of the first clones eligible for retirement after all given their service records) is Sev and having to leave him behind. Or maybe the other's have since died. and he's the only one left to keep going. hooooo

Hi! If it's not bothering you too much could you please do headcanons for how the deltas fall in love (like love at first sight, over some time, without them knowing, etc.) and their reaction to realizing they are in love? I'm eternally grateful for your delta headcanons, they need more love
It's never a bother to request some Delta love! 💕
Boss: Would take a relationship slow and steady, one step at a time, but with the intent of establishing something that can last. So in a way, he was already in love with them before they even started dating, or at least very, very close to it. He's not the type of guy to date around or try something and hope for the best. If he didn't absolutely like them, or foresee some kind of future with them, he wouldn't have pursued them beyond a nice friendship. And so as they date and share more of themselves with each other, that love really solidifies and takes hold within him. It's not even a question whether or not he loves them, he just knows it in the very core of his being. And they know he does the whole time, too, even though he doesn't say the words until much later (probably not until he proposes marriage, to be honest). Boss is a man of action, so his love is expressed in the way he takes care of them, how he's always as present as he can possibly be, how he never wavers in his devoted effort to creating a life with them.
Fixer: Would be the most likely to fall in love at first sight... or rather, love at first sound. As soon as he hears that person talking about interesting things, showing just how sharp their mind is, how uniquely they see the world, how carefully they express their thoughts... he'll fall pretty quickly. He'll want to be around them constantly, not wanting to miss a single word they say. When they're apart, he comes up with questions he wants to ask next time he sees them. And any experience he has, he immediately wants to tell them about it. It's like as soon as they're in the same room again, he's practically bouncing in his seat, ready to get them alone so he can launch them back into conversation. The more time they get together, the more he's able to relax, having exhausted all his talking points and now able to be comfortable just enjoying each other's quiet company. He's not exactly in denial about his love for them; he's very open about how he cares, but he doesn't use the word love specifically for quite some time. His partner would say it first, and then it'd click: Oh, that's what this is called.
Scorch: Would be interested in someone almost right away, it'd be very obvious he had a massive crush. Constant flirting, gravitating toward them in a room, bringing them up in conversation with others for no reason. But he doesn't pull the trigger on asking them out or getting genuinely close to them, not for some time. Mostly it's because he doubts his affections would ever be returned. He's a scruffy soldier, why would someone so good and beautiful ever like him? That's really why he acts goofy in general; he uses jokes to distract from the parts of himself he doesn't want others to see. The messy, rough parts he can't find a way to accept himself. So it's unfathomable that anyone else could. But...he also can't deny how head over heels he is, how he adores them, and he slowly turns into this love-sick puppy that can't sleep or eat without agonizing over his feelings. A confession would spill from his lips unprompted, in the most random of moments, because he can't help it. He hates himself for coming onto them so strongly without planning it, but once they show they reciprocate, all that anxiety disappears and he owns his love with unrestrained happiness.
Sev: Would definitely fall more on the slow-burn side of the scale. He truly believes he isn't deserving of such things. He was made to fight and kill, not to comfort or love. And since he's never entertained a single thought on the subject, he is completely clueless as to why he feels certain...things...around this person. Like why does his skin tingle if they accidentally brush against him? Why does his heart rate go up when they make eye contact? He seriously considers going to the doctor because it just does not make sense. He's also oblivious to how often he actually thinks about them, or how often he goes out of his way to take care of something for them because they mentioned being a little tired. He's subtle at first but his brothers catch on and start making comments, and that's when he loses it. Him? In love? Nope, no way. Impossible. He'll be even quieter than normal, a little broody and distant. But then something will happen and he'll have this urge to go see them, and he'll stop dead in his tracks as he realizes where he's headed and, kriff, he does love them, doesn't he?
