Orochi x s/o first time NSFW headcanons [part 1]

Preface: AU! Set in the 21st century, Orochi's soul was almost destroyed, but saved by s/o, who fused the evil god's soul with their own and used his power for their work. S/o works in a private detective agency that deals with particularly dangerous cases with supernatural beings. Orochi does not have the powers that he had before, and now s/o controls everything. Of course, Orochi does not give up hope of subjugating his new "master". After almost a year of their collaboration, Orochi managed to catch a moment when his partner was particularly vulnerable. They were in their own horny jail (￢‿￢ )

Orochi loved them more than anything in this horrible world, he had included them in all of his schemes. To him there was nothing more precious than them and during these critical moments he intended to keep them safe and away from any possible harm. So much so that he didn’t let them go out of his sight, but truthfully they had found that his constant supervision was unnecessary and it was beginning to bother his S/O.

They constantly begged Orochi to ease up on monitoring them and actually focus on his goals, but Orochi constantly dismissed their pleas often leading to arguments and discussions. 

One particular evening was the last argument the couple would have, as the arguing had escalated to such a point that Orochi had unconsciously grabbed them by the neck as he continued to carry his point across, ignoring their desperate attempts to breathe. It wasn’t even intentional, it just happened and Orochi was too far lost in his arguments to notice that the one he claimed to love was fading away by his own hand. 

Once he came back to his senses, he was horrified by what he had done to them. Their body now limp, his hand still gripping their neck. Uncharacteristically of him, Orochi screamed in horror, he felt absolutely disgusting for what he had done to the love of his life. He gently held their body as he sat on the ground caressing their hair and muttering apologies over and over again, but unfortunately this would all be in vain.

Orochi felt the world around him crumble, he had worked so hard for this and most of it was for them and now in a fit of rage he lost it all. 

It was possibly the first time Orochi had ever cried, and his cries were filled with the agony and regret of his actions. He spent hours crying while still holding the lifeless body of his beloved. In between the sobbing he kissed their forehead, hoping this was just a nightmare and that it would all come to pass. But it never did and he now had to live with the grim reality that he killed the only being he’s ever loved.

Soon after he composed himself enough, he gave them a proper burial and continued on with his plans, though this time he would have to do it alone. Now all that was left was to carry the guilt of their death and keep pushing forward.

nerd rambles about disappointing video game being disappointing

aka some of my thoughts on onmyoji's new characters of the golden cruise event

honestly, i'm really liking this event so far! i've only read the first three chapters, but it's still a lot of fun!! seimei's on a solo mission, completeing challenges on a mysterious (and beautiful) boat to hopefully learn more about kuzunoha! yay!! not to mention stuff like the new material collection system in the battle portion and komatsu's new skin :3 it's all so much fun!

but that being said, some aspects of this event are kinda lackluster... mainly the golden tentacles' crew members

i assume that the devs were scrambling to rearrange everything after they scrapped tamatori (rip queen <3), which could explain why the remaining characters feel pretty... underwhelming. they all have their merits, but they aren't really pulling their own weight to fill the tamatori shaped hole in the story.

i'll start off with the one i have the least complaints about, shiro-uneri. the first ever surgeon in onmyoji, cool!! i'll have to reread his backstory since i forgot some things, but being turned into a spirit by taki after failing to save his crew is so :(((( but that could explain my main complaint with him (and the other characters) - his design is beautiful, but he doesn't feel like a part of the crew. he doesn't even look like a land yokai, more like a near budget version of sp orochi. L

next is tagitsuhime. she's adorable, but once again i feel like she doesn't look like a crew member. but she at least looks like a sea yokai, esp with her splatoon-esque hair. and i love her personality, but onmyoji is using the "small stand-offish >:P girl" archetype a bit too much. it's the same personality as kingyo and kotodama, but with their edges sanded off (as seen with how she treats taki). i love her and the two others i mentioned, but this type of character is getting a little stale...

but speaking of stale!! taki isn't just stale, he's moldy with a giant bacteria infection. i'm so sick of every new male ssr being some combination of a beloved figure with white hair and no personality beyond calm and stoic and BORING. taki is all that with an iguana named "hizz". absolute L. his design is ass and clearly just taking insp from that old blue french guy from genshin impact so the influx of genshin fans will be happy and try to summon him. BUT!!!!!! despite all that, there are still some things i like about him. the fact that he calls tagitsuhime "sharkie" is adorable, and he actually showed some personality, being overjoyed when seimei figured out his wordplay with the first challenge. i wish they did more with that - making taki more visibly happy or even theatrical, treating this adventure with both seriousness and fun. we are in DESPERATE need of a silly SSR but the devs are too busy making another cheap boring husbando to care
