so idk if this is like even a thing anymore in the fandom, most of this is just stuff I've seen in fics but I absolutely fucking abhor some of the characterization for Pushkin n Ivan. Like idk where yall were thinking like for fic writers who wrote that Ivan had a better life than like fyodor or gogol. like that literally makes no sense like especially canonically ivan got lobotomized to where they only feel happiniess/joy/euphoria fuckin idk. i mean it should be easy to guess that ivan was definitely going through some shit to be like that desperate. obviously we don't know the details (i have an idea but thats for another post) but i mean come on guys. do we really think ivan was live laugh loving before the lobotomy? and pushkin oh boy pushkin. hes my fav i love him hes so boyloser. we (most of us anyway id hope) know that pushkin hates strong ability users. he also sucks which im well aware of. but most people dont go beyond he sucks and hes shitty. this is bungo stray dogs where literally almost every character has trauma. i aint gonna explain in this post because i can see this is already getting long but. look one theme of bsd is being sympathetic towards others, obviously this doesnt extend to every character (ie mori n proffessor N) but like yall come on. if ppl can do like the most deep characterization for shitty characters (gogol and fyodor and yes theyre shitty i think we should all be aware of this, not like no one can like em i love gogol) but i feel like some ppl are doing a favoritism (not gonna say why before i get picked apart like vultures eating a carcass)
