think we need to bring back "if you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all". because like, as much as that saying gets used by stuffy older relatives to shut up anyone who has an issue with anything they do, and as much as it's healthy to complain sometimes, i personally prefer to always try to find something positive about any given thing, and i've found that i'm happier for it. complaining is fun and all, but the way that people will go out of their way to nitpick every little detail, the way that they'll end up repeating all the same old things day in day out just sucks all the joy out of everything. like okay, we get it, you hate this thing - have you considered shutting up about it any time soon? or maybe instead of harping on about how much you hate it, go, "huh, i don't like this, but it's great that different people find joy in different things". it's not hard. or ask yourself if you do hate it at all, and are not just shitting on it over and over in an attempt to feel something in your pathetic, boring, miserable life.

Tournament poll brackets will be like
Pick from these two options:
Option A which you should vote for absolutely lest you want me to hate you forever and you don't want to make me mad, do you? You enjoy this blog and my takes you owe me this.
Option B which is for poopy shitty people with BAD TASTE. Look at the image that accompanies it God isn't it such a bad option to take??? You wouldn't pick that would you? Look at how little votes that option got it's because it's so SHITTY! Not in any way because I'm manipulating your choice :)
BTW if for whatever reason you decide to be contrarian and pick the one I don't want you to pick I'm going to put in the loser back again until you do. Fuck you.

I will never understand people who dislike bly manor because its different than hill house. because they're part of the same anthology people just automatically assume they are 1:1, and go into bly manor with standards and expectations that are not anywhere near fair because the shows are so vastly different. I think that if you don't like bly because you expected it be like hill house that's fair, but if you're going to be an ass about it and post about how bad it was, it's just ridiculous.
I have seen so many people on the hill house subreddit say bly is not good for this reason, and its hilarious honestly because its just the same copy and paste post of people being butthurt that bly manor is not an exact replica of hill house.
I even saw one person post on the subreddit a few days ago to ask whether bly and hill house were the same (they were wondering if they should watch bly), to which many people replied no; one person even commented specifically begging the op not to compare the two of them. then, today I saw a post from the op saying that bly manor was "such a disappointing waste of time" compared to hill house, to which the person who commented previously was just like "didn't I tell you to not do that?" which is honestly funny

I saw a post like, awhile ago now that was mad about "like shaming" because people obviously would like Tumblr to function like Tumblr and not like Instagram or Twitter (no I will Not call it That) and it's like breh. If you see "reblog stuff because that's how this site works" and you get offended enough to call it "like shaming" then go back to a site where likes actually spread shit around instead of whining people would like you to use Tumblr as intended. Fucking "like shaming" no, for the last like seven years on this site the existing user base has repeatedly had to explain how Tumblr works and instead of just using the damn site that way you whine about like shaming??? If you want to use a like based social site then get off tumblr- like obviously you don't even like it here if you cannot use the site as intended without it being "shaming" to you??
