can I share something that might be an unpopular opinion? is this a safe space?
so obvs The Lawsuit™️ gets talked about all the time. and while I understand Buck’s thinking… do I necessarily agree a whole lawsuit was the way to go? depends on the day. but! what I wanna know that I don’t see a ton of discourse about, is do we think Buck forgave Bobby too quickly with the treatment he gave post-lawsuit (and the treatment that led to the lawsuit in the first place tbh)?
the whole reason the lawsuit happened is because of what Buck essentially considered as Bobby’s betrayal. we know about the Divorce Era with Eddie that happened BECAUSE OF the lawsuit, we know Hen was the only one to properly welcome Buck back with a cupcake and not really hold the lawsuit against him, but we also know Bobby was still kind of a d!ck and influenced the behaviors of the rest of the 118 after the lawsuit.
we really just see Buck at the hospital after getting checked out because he cut his arm saving those people on Halloween, and Bobby showing up and being like, ‘hm, maybe you are ready to come back’ and Buck is like ‘wanna get breakfast’ 🤨
am I the only one that kind of wishes Buck like. acknowledged Bobby’s behavior? like I get he was just so grateful to have it all over, to be back to properly working etc. but NOTHING?! I mean maybe he felt so bad about the lawsuit he didn’t care? Idk someone talk this out with me

I know the writers were in a bind with having powerhouses like Lucifer and Alastor both on the playing field at the same time. But, idk, to me, Lucifer coming late to the party feels less like a triumphant entrance and more like “where the f were you.” If Lucifer and Alastor were both there at the start, it would’ve made more sense for Lucifer’s character as he is trying to do better and be there for Charlie, and has no excuse for being late, but then the fight would’ve been two on one and there would’ve been no justifiable reason for why Adam couldn’t get defeated by both of them. So, maybe have another player on the field? Sera entering the fight? Or Lucifer getting kidnapped into heaven and forced to watch his daughter fight while he’s helpless to do anything until he convinces Sera to let him go? Idk. Cause his presence also undermined Charlie’s arc a bit imo.
Charlie has been sheltered by the two people closest to her: Vaggie and Lucifer. I think I would’ve liked a moment where Charlie is in a bind and this distracts Vaggie who automatically goes to protect her, but Charlie rallies harder, and Vaggie is shown that Charlie can also protect herself (maybe this happened in the show but I missed it? Cause they did split up at one point. I should rewatch the ep lol). I know they split up during the battle, but I kind of would’ve liked this part of their dynamic at least nodded to directly for the sake of their character arcs. And then with Lucifer, if he had to be in the fight, then have Lucifer raring to go, about to destroy Adam, but Charlie stops him and holds her own instead while Lucifer watches proudly. Or, somehow have Lucifer on the backfoot at one point because it’s been so long since he fought anyone, at first he’s overconfident or trying to appear confident, as he should be stronger than Adam, but Adam has been fighting for longer, more consistently, and maybe he’s had some kind of blessing to make him stronger. Have Lucifer taken off guard, and then have Charlie save his ass, clobbering Adam while he’s distracted, Adam who has always underestimated her, and then they defeat him together or something. Idk, just something to satisfy my personal need for Charlie to prove that she doesn’t always need to be sheltered or protected, that it’s fine to have support, but that those supporting her also make themselves vulnerable by doing so. I also feel like if Vaggie or Lucifer were hurt while protecting Charlie, she would definitely have some complex about that.

It was too easy, to sink into living the life the Archeron’s carved out.
By the time Lucien awoke the next morning, in a slightly too-short bed that was among the furniture that had come with the property, they were already gone. A note greeted him, in Nesta’s slanting hand: furniture at 11, trees at 1, stay to sign.
A fire he hadn’t lit, hungry red that spit sparks to ask him, have you lost your mind?
He did not need to see Eris, much less hear him, to understand the actual sentiment, though it bled from the question the kitchen hearth threw at him by the time Lucien was done brewing tea: that city is a godsforsaken death trap. The messages the High Lord is sending do not come from a well man. Do you need help?
Lucien would have very much liked to read those missives. He could imagine the demands: armies, promises, money. Based on what? The name of the most famous traitor in the land, who no one had been surprised to see commit atrocities in Hyberns name, even compelled. Not after how he’d spent the last few centuries ruling the North.
SAPLING, the fire yelled.
An extra four hundred years that touched only Lucien was near enough to level their ages, which made the tone feel very unfair. Still fond, though. He was not actually offended enough to let the fire scorch Nesta’s new kitchen.
“I’m fine,” Lucien said, aloud, his own voice proof and magic too. Eris was Vanserra enough to feel every path through a forest- to be both outraged and know that something fundamental was changed. “Stop worrying and stay alive, old man. I’ll see you on the battle field.”
He’d see him at the summit of lords, but it was a sure enough warning: Lucien, like Eris, inclined still toward a single truth.
To fight if they had to, to stop the sort of carnage Hybern was capable of unleashing on their land.
