Nhân dịp Nike vừa tung ra BST Kobe A.D Mid mới tuần trươc , chúng ta hãy trở lại với điểm xuất phát của Kobe với Adidas Crazy 97 EQT Elevation “1997 Dunk Contest” – đôi signature đầu tiên của Kobe Bryant và đặc biệt hơn cả nó là với Adidas chứ không phải Nike như t đang thấy ở thời điểm hiện tại.

Trở lại vào năm 1997, khi Kobe Bryant vừa bắt đầu chơi trong năm đầu của mình tại NBA, anh đã giành được trái tim của người hâm mộ khi trở thành người chiến thắng tại Slam Dunk Contest 1997. Đặc biệt hơn cả, anh đã chiến thắng nó khi đi đôi Crazy 97 với phối màu Lakers huyền thoại đi vào lịch sử.

Ngay khi Kobe Bryant được draft vào năm 1996, Adidas đã nhân thời cơ kí ngay một hợp đồng với anh, làm cho anh đôi signature đầu tiên trong sự nghiệp. Cũng giống như các dòng giày bóng rổ khac thời đấy, Crazy 97 được sử dụng phần lớn là da (Synthetic Leather) trên phần upper cùng một ít vải lưới để thoáng khí. Về bộ đệm, Crazy 97 gần như tối giản nhất có thể một phần cũng là do thời kì đó, Adidas chưa có Boost hay Bounce như bây giờ. Còn ở phần đế, thiết kế răng cá dày và cứng được đưa vào khá chắc chắn và bền nhưng tuy nhiên sẽ làm đôi giày có phần bị nặng.

Tuy nhiên điểm nhấn của đôi giày thực sự nằm ở phần thiết kế của nó chứ không chỉ chất lượng. Bắt kịp xu hướng thời đó, Adidas đã đưa cho Kobe một đôi giày thực sự “vui mắt”. Có thể nói đôi giày trông khá là gồ ghề, tuy nhiên khi đưa vào những thiết kế độc đáo như phần midsole lượn song hay logo 3 sọc phản quang thì Adidas đã làm rất tốt. Không chỉ vậy, điểm nhấn của đôi giày còn nằm ở hông giày với logo Adidas EQT hình hạt đậu màu vàng và có thể đổi sang số 8 – số áo của Kobe khi thay đổi góc nhìn. Và cuối cùng những nhà thiết kế đã đưa vào 2 dây chun chéo nhau ở gót để bọc phần gót Asin. Điểm thú vị của nó chính là nếu tháo 2 dây chun đó ra, đôi giày sẽ hoàn toàn không có gót.
