·         I wouldn’t put it past him to make one or two beastiality jokes…

·         But apart from that, he doesn’t half mind animals either! (And he finds it endearing to see you playing with them, not that he cares to identify at all the warm, soothing feeling in his chest when he sees you boop your nose against a tortoise’s.) He’d love a dog, or… a tiger. A dinosaur would be ideal.

·         But actually, its animals that tend to have a problem with him.

·         Cuz of course animals are a lot more sensitive than humans tend to be to ghosts, and demons, and souls. And his soul is pretty damn mucky. BJ has met exactly zero animal’s so far (Since his death) that haven’t taken an immediate dislike of him. They hiss at him, or growl, or try to wriggle away even if they aren’t being held by him; Just nearby to him.

·         Land animals though and birds? Very little interest. Birds get points only for being close to dinosaurs (You ask about reptiles in that case and his eye inverts in its colouring. His ‘skin’ goes red. “Those jerks know what they did.”), but still he’d much rather talk about star fish! Get ready to be more educated about the ocean’s weirdest creatures and mysterious happenings then you ever wanted to be.

Captain Hook:

·         He has very confused feelings about this- especially when you act so chummy with Tik Tok who, naturally, loves you and your T-Bone steak snacks.

·         On one hand, if you’re feeding Tik Tok then Tik Tok probably won’t feel the need or be able, to eat him.

·         But on the other- bEtrAyER! How could you feed and love that monster, that has plagued his life for years and made his existence a living hell?

·         But then again, the fact that Tik Tok is now often too full to bother with him rears its head again and he calms down.

·         Because of this, its typical that he says nothing when you have animals around (Any animal. They all remind him of Tik Tok. Scales, fur, or feather). He’ll want to. Gosh, the need to speak will overflow in his throat and he’ll take a deep breath- … but then no words come out. He forces it down. Because he can’t mention his dislike without mentioning his relief also, so speaking at all would really just make you confused and feel bad and leave him frustrated because he doesn’t know how either of you could change to make this better for anyone, so its just not worth it.  

·         So then he just walks away.

·         Its pretty humorous to see, actually. Because he’s just all grumpy and slouching off, maybe shaking his head and muttering, and you’re all wide eyed and confused. Holding, like, a budgie or a snake or something.

·         The other pirates are keeping a tally.

·         Bonus point: He’s not scared (Or allergic) of any other animals apart from Tik Tok, so you don’t have to worry about him being skittish or anything.

Dr Facilier:

·         Frogs are a difficult subject for him so enjoy amphibian cuties somewhere that he is not, please. Also rabbits- there was an incident before you came along that he does not speak of.

·         Other then that, Facilier is basically a normal person about animals. He can appreciate a nice zoo visit every now and then and pet the odd dog or cat but with you in his life he never wants to go to a zoo again. And he’s bored as hell by everyday pets.

·         But he won’t tell you he’s sick of all the animals. Nay, nay. Its one of those things where you love the person, so you put up with the crazy/annoying shit they love. Like ‘Yes, yes. Very interesting, cher… ‘ when you talk about it, while he’s actually reading the newspaper and he hasn’t heard anything you said. After all, you stay quiet when he’s plotting or cackling over something he did to a victim that day. Its only fair.

·         He is fascinated, though, when he’s just watching you (Sometimes he just sits back and observes you doing your thing. Its relaxing for him) and he notices little quirks you’ve picked up from various creatures. Like the way you curl up when you’re lying down on the couch and how you shrink back from things that happened to surprise you, similar to a big cat. Your eyes are focused like a wild animal, too. Very cute.

·         Lots of animal-themed nicknames.

Hades:

·         “You know, some tell me I’m a kinda animal, babe… “He wiggles his eyebrows at you over his mug of whatever-he-drinks (You fear asking, after watching him eat a bowl of worms), offering his best (And funniest) bedroom eyes to you.

·         “Yes, but are you as cute as this snake Hades?? Are you?? Look into these eyes and tell me this snek is not as cute as you are.” You lift the little grass snake gently from the table and onto your arm, letting him wrap its body around you and lift his head to look around; Checking out what’s up. He was getting his scales stroked good; Why has it stopped?  

·         “Pfft,” Hades rolls his eyes, returning to the chess board in front of him (He likes to play both sides and challenge himself).

·         Okay so, Hades can take or leave most animals. But it’s so cute that you love them, so he lets you keep them around. Whatever animals you like (Don’t worry, you also have the proper equipment and enclosures for them, and Hades makes another God, who is an expert on all things animals, come by whenever you have a question), and however many you like. I mean, what’s the good of being a God if you can’t spoil yourself and your preciously excited, human significant other?

·         So you have, like, Reptiles at the west end of his underworld castle, nocturnal animals on the east, more pet-type animals like dogs and cats and rabbits in the living area part of the castle, etc.

·         The animals give Pain and Panic a hugely hard time, which Hades thinks is a great bonus to doing this for you.

·         He really loves it when you call him and yourself the animal’s parents. Yes, call me Daddy, babes. Its fine by me!

Jafar:

·         Oh my god, the disdain in his voice when he looks from you, practically bouncing on the heels of your feet and to the fluffy white kitty you’ve gently shoved in his hands- which he holds at nearly a full arm’s length away from him. “Eugh. Really?”

·         “What’s wrong! ? Isn’t she the cutest?”

·         “She’ll get fur everywhere.”

·         “Oh, that’s rich… “You say, side eye-ing Iago, who’s making a face at the cat from Jafar’s other shoulder. “Iago stress moults- and you stress him out all the time!”

·         A dramatic, offended gasp erupts from one of the two males (Not gonna tell you who). “It is aesthetically pleasing mess!”

·         So basically if the animal doesn’t speak a language he understands, he doesn’t care for it. You’re going to be fighting him on this for the rest of your life, Y/N. (Or his. I mean, I heard evil double crossing sorcerer vizier’s are dying at an accelerated rate these days. Hm, mysterious.).

The docks. It brings them back to the good times on the ship.

2. How does your apprentice feel when they are called a witch? (Offended? Shrugs it off? Likes it?)

Theo doesn't really care. Witch, Sorcerer, Mage, its all synonyms to them.

3. Do they have a familiar? Why did you choose that animal? How did they meet?

Theo met Clara when they saved her from a hunter that wanted Clara's feathers for jewelry and Theo saved Clara.

They all intimidate Theo in their own special way

The only one Theo likes is Volta. The rest of them are either creepy, obnoxious, or both

Theo basically went where they were told. If someone needed magic to help heal, Theo did that. If someone just need a mopper, Theo would do that too.

7. What are their tasks around the shop? What can they make?

Theo basically keeps the shop clean and tries to help any customers. They tend to leave tarot readings to Asra unless he's gone, then Theo would read Tarot

8. Describe their daily routine (wake up, chores, tasks, visiting who, etc)

Wake up, clean up the shop, make sure it's ready to open, open the shop, run the shop, close the shop when it was time and go to bed. Whenever Theo got free time that wasn't devoted to the shop or the Countess, it would be spent at the markets or at the docks

9. What Major Arcana would they be closest to? Is their a Minor Arcana card that suits them more?

I want to say The Fool (for obvious reasons) but idk

10. Describe their magical abilities. What are they best at? Worst?

Theo also likes water magic due to their heritage but is fine with anything (as stated in one of the books in Asra's route)(forgot which one)

11. How do they get along with all the animals in the game? (Faust, Malak, Chandra, Pepi, Inanna, Camio, Melchior and Mercedes)

-Malak: Malak is one and the same with Devorak so I feel the same way about the two of them. Tolerable but I'm not besties with them.

-Chandra: As majestic and beautiful as the Countess. Chandra honestly scares me a bit, like the Countess

-Pepi: 3rd in line for the title of "best animal frien"

I am curious about other realms and what they may be like. I guess I still am an adventurer

The Lazaret. It reminds me too much of what that scumbag goat did to Vesuvia.

15. How did your apprentice feel about Asra leaving all the time? Taking care of them?

Asra is his own person. He wants to travel, he can. I always miss him but I do trust him to be safe and come back to me.

16. Name one thing your apprentice wants to see happen, or say to someone.

I know this is obvious but I will ALWAYS want to kick this shit out of Goatfuck.

17. What is the outcome you see happening for your apprentice and their significant other?

I would hope that me and Asra survive, and honestly me and Asra want to include Muriel in this relationship because we both have feelings for him as well... (*note* I just also am thorsty for Muriel lmaoo)

18. What would drive your apprentice so far as to strike a bargain?

If someone I care about is in danger I will do what I can to help them

19. At this point in the game, do they care more about recovering the rest of their memories or living as they are now?

I don't care. I'm happy where I am but I wouldn't mind if my memories came back.

Yeah, that sounds fine. I don't have a good sense of fashion so I'd have to have Nadia or someone help me with my outfit.

21. What is their first reaction seeing their LI cry?

I remember when Asra cried while telling me about my death. I nearly cried myself and I wanted to hug him so bad but I couldn't bring myself to it for some reason...

22. Are they scared of what they have learned? Of the powers they have developed?

No. I'm curious, about what I might be capable of and what might be next.

23. Do they like snow? Have they seen it before?

I do like it. It's pretty and the whole mood that comes with it and washes over Vesuvia when it does snow, it's just wonderful.

24. A magic lamp is found in the shop, and a genie inside gives them three wishes. What are they?

Ah jeez, I dunno. Like I've said. I'm happy where things are so I dunno what I could do. I could wish for Goatfuck to die but if I remember in Aladdin, you can't do that (disney movies exist on another country, not Vesuvia, thats my new headcanon)

25. Are they still scared of the lazeret?

No. It makes me angry that Lucio hurt Vesuvia and isn't regretful in any way. (Theo does know about the link between Lucio and the plague but doesnt know why)

26. Do they have nightmares? Will it continue/develop after recent events?

I do. Sometimes its the shipwreck, sometimes its my death, sometimes its what I worry about. What I think may happen if things don't go right.

27. What is the best thing their significant other could do to cheer them up?

Just hugs and kisses and cuddles usually help. It sounds mushy but it does make me forget about whatever's bothering me at the time and think only of him.

28. Describe what their magical realm gateway would be like?

Most likely, a ship. A ship that looks like my old ship, and could possibly be used to travel to other realms if I tried hard enough, I dunno..

Session 7, Rundown

Gotta love it when your party's long rest is interrupted 3/4 of the way through and y'gotta restart it to get the benefits. Especially by tiny fuckers that remind you of Nac Mac Feegles but decidedly aren't.

Sooo, where did we leave the party last... Ah, yes! This motley crew were on their way to the Branis. The dead town of Branis. That was wiped out by a very deadly plague. That Branis. During the first full day of travel that direction, the weather wasn't great. It was drizzling on and off for most of the morning, and it was enough that the dirt trail they were on was starting to fill with puddles. As the group trudged on, River was fiddling with their heirloom box that they can't open. Not much was happening along the trail as the party worked their way towards Branis.

Until one of the puddles decided to leap up and attack our noble.

Turns out it was a gelatinous snake ooze type creature, and we were able to dispatch it thank to magic weapons being very magical and cutting (or smashing) past non-magical-weapon damage reduction. How exactly did it die... Ah, yes: "stabby stab & smash the snek. Elias blows it up." So we managed to take out the gelatinous snek after it did some significant damage to our poor noble sorcerer.

Who can apparently talk to spirits.

Because that's a thing he can apparently do. Because after we killed the gelatinous snek, a red wispy aura of some sort left its body and Ren's eyes went sort of blueish? It was all very weird, but he was able to ask the spirit for some information and relay it to us. The ooze was apparently performing its last service to its Master and also a Goddess?  Apparently this Master had served this Goddess and was the only one of this group allowed to look upon the Goddess, but then the Master decided to begin tribute to someone else who was not the Goddess and so he and everyone under him was punished for this. I think? It was all very strange, what with Ren talking to spirits and then all this new information about yet another powerful entity (who we determined was not Queen Mab aka the Queen of the Winter Court - do not want to meet her).

The rest of the day was uneventful after that gelatinous snek. That's to say nothing of the night... The first half of the night was uneventful, but during the third watch, we were attacked by quicklings. Speedy little blue winter fey little shits.

Incredibly hard to hit, a group of six or seven quicklings struck at the middle of the night. It was hard to see them in the dying campfire light they were moving so fast. We were able to take out a couple of them, but the quicklings were more than a match for us. Did not like the fact that they seemed to have a special interest in Poppy and I once they realized we were aligned with the Summer Court (why oh why did I agree to that, dammit Poppy). A number of us were knocked out, and while River brought up Ren and Poppy was able to bring me back up to the fight (fey-given healing is so *weird* I shouldn't be feeling summer's warmth in the middle of autumn), there wasn't really anything we could do.

Ren, the only one left standing, told us after that the pale woman River had seen the other night scared off the quicklings and helped bring us all around. The mysterious woman's name was Aggie, and she was a local (druid?) who was fey and kept an eye on travelers passing through. She was unaligned in the Courts - not an easy thing - but was more familiar with the Winter court simply because they were more active in this area. We asked what she knew about Branis, and she told us that it had fallen to disease a while ago. Apparently the Winter fey in the area were also getting more rowdy, and their activity had also picked up around the time that Branis fell. Aggie suspects that the two might be connected. Whatever struck Branis, it was magical in nature, that much was clear. We're all exhausted and it's like 2am, so we try our hand again at a long rest with Aggie helping to keep watch before setting back off towards.

During the rest, Ren asks Aggie about troops that would have passed through a week or so ago. They made it to Branis, but were unfortunately there when the plague struck. Some were fine and able to move on past the town, so it's likely that whoever Ren is chasing down is still alive. River and Elias take up the next couple watches and make general small talk with Aggie. Candle takes last watch, is a stressed ball of anxiety, leaves camp for a short while, and returns as Soliana.

Late morning rolls around and we're ready to set off towards Branis. Because Aggie is travelling that direction as well, we're able to make it there a little faster than if we'd been travelling without her. When we get there, the town is enveloped in a sickly green glow, which is apparently what happens when the plague has taken over a place completely. (Is this something that's widespread enough that multiple locations have been taken over or is this just a educated guess based on Branis' fate...)

Ren and Poppy go in because none of the rest of us want to enter the sickly plague ridden town (I can't ever imagine why not...) They encounter a man who is disease-ridden yet somehow not dead. They learn from him (after Poppy putting him out of his misery and Ren talking to his spirit) that a woman had gone off on a pilgrimage and returned, but something wasn't right with her. She died in the custody of some local investigators who were trying to figure out what had happened, and the plague began soon there after.

Ren and Poppy wandered around the town a little more, encountering shambling corpses. When Poppy struck one down, its spirit was sucked to the north, which was not something that usually happened or that Ren had seen before. They found a soldier or two in the uniform of the troops that Ren was chasing down, but they weren't who he was looking for. They leave town and Poppy gives us a rundown on what they saw and learned in the disease-ridden town.

We move on and continue towards Stawford, where Aggie lives, and take up a couple rooms in the inn - Elis & Ren, and Poppy & Soliana - with River in the stables with their horse. In the morning, we all came down for breakfast, some less happy than others at the lack of running water and ability to clean themselves up. Ren was incredibly happy when Soliana waved a knitting needle his way and prestidigitated his clothing clean. Poppy was surprised that Soliana used some magic, since Candle hadn't shown any affinity for it.

Ren is so happy at his clean clothes, in fact, that he goes practically prancing out into the street in joy, and runs into some pilgrims just arriving in town. We see him talking with someone, and the rest of the party trickles out to join Ren. The woman who approaches Ren tells him that the group is looking to spread the word of their pilgrimage, and that it's apparently great for kids and family (what an odd bunch we must appear - a couple "humans" [Poppy & Ren(?) are the most human looking of the bunch but decidedly not human in nature], a half-elf, a wood-elf, and a tabaxi/sun-elf). The group that runs the monastery that spearheads this pilgrimage is called the Gathering of Unity, and the monastery is off to the north-east in the woods if we were interesting in visiting. Apparently, the journey is very spiritually enlightening, and those who go tend to then get sent to different towns and cities to spread the word.

This totally isn't suspicious after what we learned in Branis.

Something seems off about what the woman is saying, like it's rehearsed, and River is getting a sense of grief from her. She says that she's on assignment and is trying to get people to go visit the monastery, but her words seem forced and she's holding back tears. We glean a little more from her about what happens at the monastery - and that she'd not heard about the fate that befell Branis - before she excuses herself from us and scurries off. A quick casting of detect magic reveals that the small group of pilgrims are all just radiating enchantment magic. That's certainly relevant information, but we're not entirely sure what to do with all this new knowledge about the Gathering of Unity, Branis, and the pilgrimages.

Did you know that on TikTok shadowvanilla aka vanilla milkshake (shadow milk x pure vanilla) is considered a dark ship(illegal/highly problematic ship)? Not even a comship (complex ship), no it’s a straight up dark ship since they don’t like eachother. This is the anatomy of a beetles mouth, see that they lack a proboscis. They instead chew when they eat, they don’t slurp.

What the actually moons is devsisters doing with the cookie run storyline???? What do you mean the legendary dragons are not “true dragons”???? What makes a “true dragon”???? It reminds me of what happened in arc two of WOF where they basically made an unstoppable god-like character and had to add stuff to the story to get rid of said character.
